Love’ss 21
Chapter 21
“Mom, don’t say that.” Elena continued to try and placate her parents, but Amelia wasn’t interested in hearing it.
She interrupted Elena and said, “If Madelyn keeps this nonsense up, she’s going to get divorced with Andrew sooner or later. Elena, you’ve got to grab the opportunity, alright?”
Amelia knew that Elena had had feelings for Andrew since she was 16.
The Garcias had planned on setting Elena and Andrew up, but Andrew had insisted on marrying Madelyn.
“You both know how Andrew feels about Maddie. Will I really be able to win his heart? “Elena lowered her head, looking very aggrieved.
Amelia took a deep breath. “Andrew married her because she’s been with the Millers for ten years. Don’t worry, his feelings for her have probably wasted away to nothing by now.”
Elena felt happier after hearing Amelia say so.
No matter how Andrew felt about Madelyn in the beginning, he had probably lost all his affection for her after what had happened this time.
Did Madelyn really think that she could gain everyone’s forgiveness by suddenly coming to her senses and not making any more trouble? She had to be dreaming! It
was too late.
Now, everyone hated her.
“Mrs. Miller Senior’s 80th birthday banquet will be the best chance for you. Ashley, the designer from abroad, is back. I’ll ask her to make you a custom gown.”
“Okay. Thanks, Mom.” Elena felt even happier now.
Everything that Madelyn had would become Elena’s, including her parents and even Andrew! Elena was gleeful at the thought. At Athena’s birthday banquet, she would make sure to prepare a large gift for Madelyn.
Madelyn had just hung up on Caleb when she received a call from the Miller residence. She felt very guilty when she saw the number.
She cursed Easton inwardly and picked up the call, striving to sound warm and

polite. “Hello?”

“Mrs. Miller, Madam Grace and Mrs. Miller Senior are both waiting for you,” Ryan said heavily over the phone.
Madelyn’s heart tightened. She guessed that Athena and Grace were probably angry enough to want to eat her up.
She clapped a hand to her forehead in frustration. “Alright.”
“Madam Grace says that she doesn’t want Mr. Andrew to know about it.
Madelyn felt like crying. Were they so angry that they would stop her from seeking help?
Easton was such an asshole! It was his fault that she was in such deep trouble.
The liveliness went out of her voice completely, and she said dispiritedly, “Alright.”
She hung up, her heart still thumping madly. When she was a child in the Miller residence, everyone treated her kindly and gently. Their eyes had been full of love whenever they looked at her.
However, ever since she married Andrew, she always felt pressured whenever she returned to the Miller residence. The feeling of pressure was undoubtedly her own doing.
Before returning to the Miller residence, Madelyn sent Carrie another video.
“Are you determined to ruin Easton?” Carrie asked her over the phone after watching
the video.
Madelyn said huffily, “If he wants to ruin me, can’t I have some fun with him?”
“Yes, of course, you can! I admire this temper of yours!” Carrie then hung up.
Madelyn changed into an outfit that the elders would approve of. She then drove to Eastgate and bought Athena’s favorite blueberry pastries. By the time she reached the Miller residence, it was almost 11:00 am
When Ryan saw her dawdling over, he put on a resigned look. “Ms. Garcia, you’re finally here. Mrs. Miller Senior has been waiting for you for almost three hours!”
He was implying that she had arrived too late.

Madelyn took a few steps forward and thought of something. Looking at Ryan, she asked, “Did Easton come home last night?”
Ryan’s expression darkened. He hadn’t expected her to have the audacity to ask about Easton. He shook his head, and his tone became harsher. “No.”

Madelyn understood the situation at once.
She turned and walked into the living room, where she felt as if she had walked into an ice cellar. It was a summer’s day, but she shivered uncontrollably.
Madelyn’s gaze swept over the expressions of Grace and Athena, and she despaired inwardly.
She missed Andrew and wished that she could hide behind him.
