Kidnapped 3
As soon as Tiger left the room and Belle heard him lock the door, she got up with sudden inspiration and determination to find a way to escape.
She looked around the room, and it was then she noticed that there wasn’t a window there. It was just the bed and its thin sheet, two wooden chairs where Tiger and the other man had sat before now, a short bedside stool for which the food was kept for her, and the scarf used to tie her hands.
Her determination died just as quickly as it came after she saw that there was nothing to make a plan with.
‘Of course, they knew I would try to escape.’ She thought to herself with a sorrowful sigh.
Sitting back on the bed, she remembered when the man who brought her food threatened to force all of it down her throat, a pervy thought dominating her mind.
It made her rewind to moments when she was alone with Ben and he would say things like that. No doubt, she enjoyed it whenever Ben says he would shove himself down her throat but it was a different feeling with this kidnapper of hers, his was more threatening than colloquial.
She started to wonder if Ben knew she had been kidnapped and what his reaction would be. She also thought about her sister, Brie, and how she was dealing with her disappearance, she knew how much of a worrier Brie was and how much she must be worrying about her.
Still lost in her thoughts, she heard the door unlock. Someone walked in, it wasn’t one of the masked men, it was a woman and she didn’t bother covering her face like the men. She was holding a backpack to Belle’s notice.
As soon as the woman walked into the room, the door was closed and locked again. Belle stared at the woman, trying to determine what she was there for; she didn’t look like she was also kidnapped like her.
The woman who was in her early thirties, came to the bed and threw the backpack near to where Belle sat.
“There are clothes for you in there,” the woman started, walking away from the bed as she continued. Belle’s eyes followed her.
“There’s a bathroom here for you,” the woman pointed to a wall, confusing Belle.
“That’s a wall,” Belle muttered.
“It’s a bathroom.” The woman insisted, her voice indifferent as she gently pushed against the wall she had earlier pointed to and it opened to Belle’s very surprise. It was a bathroom like the woman said, it was just designed to camouflage a wall.
“Is there anything else you think you might need for tonight?” The woman asked Belle, her face almost expressionless.
“Why was I brought here?” Belle got up from where she sat and went to the woman with a pleading face.
“I have no idea, my job is just to take care of you all the while you are here.”
“Can you help me out of here? Please, I can’t stay here, I can’t. Please just help me, you look like a nice person….” Belle started to beg her, but the woman didn’t seem to be touched by any of Belle’s pleas. As Belle kept on begging, she looked up to the left top corner of the room and then back at Belle.
“You are going to get me in trouble, if you keep saying the things you are saying.” The woman said, her tone of voice still the same as it has been since she walked into the room.
“Okay look, I’ll pay you. I’ll pay you if you help me get out of here, and I won’t mention you to the cops, I swear I won’t, just agree to help me and….” The door to the room opened suddenly.
Belle turned to see one of the masked men walking toward both her and the woman. When the man got close enough, she could tell that it wasn’t Tiger; Tiger was taller. He grabbed the woman roughly by the arm and Belle heard her gasp in pain.
“What is your work here?” He asked her in a voice that made Belle want to shrivel at the mere sound of it.
“Crow, you are hurting me…” The woman attempted to free herself of his painful hold but it seemed impossible.
“You were supposed to give her the clothes and leave!” Crow fumed.
“That’s what I was doing.” The woman defended.
“Crow.” It was Tiger. He stood at the door, a stick of cigar in-between his index and middle finger. Crow turned when Tiger called him. No other words left Tiger’s lips but Crow understood what he wanted from him. He let go of the woman, letting her fall when he let go of her.
With a threatening but quick look, he left the room, walking past Tiger. Belle watched the woman get up from the floor and leave after Crow. Now it was just Tiger standing at the door with his eyes on her as he drew in smoke from the cigarette.
Belle looked at the ground through his intense and warning stare, looking back up after a while and his eyes were still on her. He pressed the end of his cigarette against the wall and Belle saw the ashes slowly swift through the air to the floor.
He left after that, locking the doors like before. Belle breathed out in relief after he left. She had noticed that Tiger seemed to be the boss of Crow and Crow, the boss of the woman who just brought her clothes.
She picked up the backpack which the woman had said would have clothes in them. Opening it, she took out its content. There was a night trouser in the bag, an accompanying top, and a nylon with bathing materials in it.
She dropped it all on the bed, sitting next to them, fear growing in her again. She didn’t know why she was brought here, who ordered her kidnap, or what the person had in mind, having her kidnapped. Thinking over and again, she couldn’t remember having offended anyone since her arrival to City S; she couldn’t figure out why anyone would want her kidnapped.NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.
