“Ghea, I’ve checked all your tasks. Congratulations, your proposal will be accepted, and I’ll mark it as verified.”
Bu Sonia smiled broadly after reading the report that Ghea had presented to her this morning. After almost three failures, the girl finally met the qualifications by successfully completing the given task.
Ghea was equally delighted. What she did finally paid off. And this was also thanks to the help of her husband who had provided a brief explanation of how to solve the problem she couldn’t find from the beginning.
That’s why, this afternoon, Ghea intended to invite her husband to have lunch together. This was a form of gratitude and also fulfilling the promise they had made earlier.
“Ghe, where are you going?” Joshua asked when he saw Ghea quickly getting up during the lunch break.
“Going to the management room.”
“Is there a problem?” Joshua inquired. Considering all the work was done, and there was nothing else to be signed or corrected by the management,
“No problem at all. Just want to take care of something personal.”
Joshua nodded in understanding, then let Ghea continue on her way out of the room.
Once in front of her husband’s office, and seeing that the usual secretary wasn’t there, Ghea decided to just enter. However, her steps were immediately halted when she entered. Apparently, there was another woman in there having a discussion with her husband.
“Ghea?” Randy greeted when he saw Ghea entering the room with a slightly surprised expression. Perhaps she was shocked and didn’t expect that he was not alone.
“S-sorry, Sir, if I’m being bold by entering without permission. I thought you were alone,” Ghea apologized politely, bowing slightly. She felt awkward and confused about what to do.
Randy just smiled. Waving, he asked his wife to come closer.Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
“It’s okay. You’re not wrong. By the way, since you happen to be here, let me introduce you to Stella. She’s one of the managers here.”
Ghea, who was standing not far from Randy, nodded. She shifted her position, then faced the woman named Stella while politely extending her hand for a handshake.
“Good afternoon, Ma’am. Nice to meet you, I’m Ghea.”
“Stella,” Randy called. “Let me introduce you. This is my wife, Ghea. She is currently interning in this office for some time.”
Stella smiled in return. Accepting Ghea’s hand, she greeted back. “Stella Monica. Nice to meet you.”
After the introductions, Stella stood up from her seat, ready to leave while talking to Randy.
“Mr. Randy, shall we go out? It’s already 12:30. We promised to have lunch around 1 pm, right?”
Randy patted his forehead, as if he had just remembered something almost forgotten.
“Oh, thank you for reminding me. Well then, let’s go now. We might hit traffic. It wouldn’t be nice to keep the client waiting.”
Before leaving for real, Randy turned back to Ghea, who was still in the room.
“What were you doing here?”
Ghea squeezed her fingers. Actually, she intentionally came to her husband’s office to invite him to lunch.
“I-I was-”
“Come on, Sir. We might be late,” Stella intentionally interrupted, making Ghea involuntarily swallow back the words she had wanted to say.
“I’m going to an outside meeting,” Randy said, excusing himself to Ghea. “Later in the afternoon, when work is done, don’t go home first. We’ll go home together. Just wait for me in the lobby or my office.”
Ghea nodded in agreement. Then, after Randy left with the woman who was considered harmonious with her husband, Ghea found herself in a bit of an awkward situation.
