How?
How?
Quinn's POV "why are you lying to my face, what is wrong with you?" he asked I tried to avoid eye contact with him but that was impossible as he stared into my soul with his eyes, I was frozen at some point and I felt helpless too "How can I tell him that he is the father of my daughter" became the major question that flew into my mind. I bowed my head in shame when he refused to look away, I tried to walk away from his presence with the intention that I would face his wrath later but he pulled me back with extreme force and pinned me to the wall My breathing pace Increased immensely and it was only a matter of time before I would pass out if he hadn't given me chance to catch my breath slowly. "I will spill out the truth but please stop with the stares and scary face" I pleaded with him he freed me from his weird position but I found it quite difficult to look him in the face but I summoned the courage. "you are the father of my daughter, it pains me that you can't remember this," I said he laughed out loud like a jackass, I was so surprised by what he did but I remained calm and stared at him so coldly "Why are you laughing?, do you remember?" I asked he kept laughing until he walked out on me, I was left in suspense after what he did, I took the plates to the kitchen and threw his pancakes into the trash bag. I was extremely mad that he didn't even remember his daughter, the pain I felt in my heart left me in tears for some minutes until I bottled my feelings and walked straight to his room. I barged in without knocking and he scornfully looked at me because of that single act of mine, "what's the meaning of this if I may ask?, have you forgotten how to knock?" he asked rudely I ignored his questions and stared into his eyes "Henry, why were you laughing when I told you the truth about my daughter, you are her father and you haven't even asked anything about her. It's like you she doesn't exist in your memory" I
screamed at him "I really don't know what's your problem, I don't have any daughter, and I'm surely not the father of your daughter. I'm pretty sure you woke up from the wrong side of the bed" he said "I didn't wake up from the wrong side of the bed, it's your memory that has refused to wake up" I tackled him his facial expression changed immediately, he went from being neutral to being angry. I spoke out of turn this time "you must be crazy, get out of my room woman!" he ordered tears rolled out of my eyes as I angrily walked out of his room, if only there was a way I could make him remember his daughter.
Henry's POV I watched her as she walked out of my room, I couldn't believe the nonsense that came out of her mouth, what did she mean by that?. Where on earth did I impregnate a girl? "This girl is not in the right state of mind, she has traveled far from reality," I said out loud I quickly took my bath and went to the dining table to eat my breakfast but I was shocked when I saw an empty table, I could have sworn that I saw my food on the table, where did it go?. Out of frustration, I went straight for my car, got in, and slowly drove out of the house. I felt kind of tired and stressed out after this woman made love to me last night, she took my strength from me and I felt so weak before I made an effort to leave my bed this morning. My stomach rumbled as I drove, so I quickly located a restaurant and ordered some breakfast food before I pass out from severe hunger. After I was done with the meal, I paid $15 and made my way back to the car once more. Going back home felt kind of awkward to me and I wanted to get away from that freak woman so badly, I got into my car and came up with a good plan to hit the bar for a cold drink to calm my nerves. I drove at an insane speed and nearly ran into an upcoming vehicle, I was so lucky to have swerved so quickly but I hit my head hard on the headrest and accidentally broke it. Flashes of my past came to my eyes and it felt like a movie, the name Quinn became a funny tone in my head, and ITêxt belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.
remember having a maid called Quinn. "It's quite hard to tell if this is a dream or not," I said to myself I quickly drove to the bar for a drink but as I got in, I felt so unbalanced with my current state "give me a cold beer Mr barman" I called out to the barman he didn't mention a single word but came back a few minutes later with a tray of beer and a glass cup at the side I opened the beer and poured some into my cup, I drank the cold beer and it felt so refreshing, I sat down at the chair close to the bar and kept gulping down my beer slowly. There are so many things on my mind and I hardly know where to start. "hey handsome!" a soft voice called out to me I turned and found out it was a beautiful lady, a smile suddenly appeared on my face, women do have this charm of happiness that moves with them "I'm good and you?" I asked she sat close to me and stared into my eyes, I sipped my beer and stared at her back "I have been watching you for some minutes, you have been sipping that beer like a depressed man, is there something bothering you?" she asked I barely knew who this lady was, how would she expect me to narrate my situation to her? "you must be mistaken, I'm in the right state of mind, I only drink beer to calm my nerves and somehow take a chill from this wicked world," I said and smiled she ordered a beer in my presence and drank the full bottle in a matter of minutes, I was shocked to see a woman consuming so much beer like a hardened drunkard "seems you are used to beers," I said "yeah, I drink beers and alcohol a lot, it's the only drink that can make me calm when I'm angry" she replied I smiled and sipped mine with pleasure, we ended up talking for a while until I realized that she was nothing but a depressed woman who plans on drinking herself into stupor. I had to stop her before she wasted herself on drinks "it's not worth it dear, here's a cheque of $1000, it will go a long way to sort out your bills, drinking
your problems away it's not advisable" I educated her she thanked me and gave me a quick kiss on my cheek, I waved to her as she walked out through the front door "you are a generous man sir, that lady pays a visit to this bar daily and she always walks home with some dollar notes after narrating her cock and bull story to whoever cares to listen," the barman said "Did she just lied to me and walked away with a $1000 cheque?" I asked "you don't look like a man who has money problems so let this one slide by," he said I stared at the door she walked through and scoffed, once again, some ladies are freaks in clothes. I rounded off with my activities at the bar and drove back home before I do something stupid, I did enjoy myself back there and that's something I should be grateful for but as I drove back, the name Quinn kept playing like a song in my head and it was as if I had gone nuts or something. I got back and quickly rushed to my room to take a cool bath to calm my nerves.
