Chapter 606 The Visit
Chapter 606 The Visit
"I know you treat Sean as your little brother. He thinks of you no more than a family. However, you two
don't have any blood relations. Do you think it's possible in the future when Sally is old enough..."
Terence frowned and muttered in a concerned tone.
He hadn't thought of anything of the sort in the past. However, after seeing how much Sally liked Sean,
this thought suddenly flashed in his mind, and it bothered him.
After all, he couldn't guarantee what would happen in the future.
Parents all have similar worries at some point with their children.
Although, some lose sleep over such things more than others.
"Ah?"
Terence's words caught Carla by surprise. Her head went blank for a second. Then, she burst into
laughter. She shook her head and replied, "That's impossible!"
"You are over thinking it! Although Sean is not related to me by blood, I still consider him as a true
brother. Sally is our daughter. How is that possible for them to end up together in the future? That's
nonsense. You worry too much!"
"Besides, they have over a decade of age difference!"
Carla added.
In her eyes, she was convinced that what Terence was thinking was absolutely impossible to happen.
"Have you forgotten? William is older than Violet by about twelve years,"
Terence reminded her in a cold but sad voice.
There were a lot of couples with huge age gaps around him.
Compared to them, the age difference he had with Carla seemed like nothing.
Carla fell into silence. She started to think of Violet and William's relationship.
Men seemed to age slower than women. Although they had a huge age difference, they looked about
the same age when they were together.
However, after she heard Terence's reasonable argument, she still felt something was not right.
She stood still and shook her head.
"I think you worry too much. Sally likes to play with kids who are older than her. That's her personality.
When she likes to play with someone, she will want to play with that person regardless of his/her age.
She has been like that even when we were in BT Village. She enjoyed playing with Bob a lot!"
"And Bob is about the same age as Sean. I guess that might be why she likes to play with Sean,"
Carla posited as she remembered how close Sally had been with Bob in the past.
In her mind, a three year-old girl couldn't know much about love.
She just showed what she liked or disliked using her face.
Grown-ups tended to put their complicated thoughts and understandings on their kids. Carla couldn't let
Terence do that.
"While we're on the subject, I think Cody is a good boy. If Sally dates him in the future, I will be really
happy with that,"
Carla smiled as she thought of how sweet and sensible Cody was.
Terence shook his head and rubbed his forehead. "Let's not talk about it now. Sally is only three years
old. Talking about marrying her to someone now frustrates me."
"I wasn't the one who brought the topic out. Aren't you the one who mentioned it first?"
Carla coyly replied to Terence while sporting a mischievous smirk.
"I know! I'm sorry. I shouldn't have started it." Terence owned up to his own mistake and held her by her
waist.
Burying his head in her neck, he took a deep breath to inhale her scent which she had after the shower.
"When do you plan to visit the Ji family? I can arrange everything ahead..."
"The day after tomorrow. I have to rest up,"
Carla replied to Terence as she stretched her arms. She planned on going to bed early.
"Okay!"
Terence quickly responded and gave her a kiss on the cheek. Then he picked her up and walked to
bed.
"Honey, we talked about not having sex for half a month. Did you forget it?"
"Half a month? I thought it was only for a week."
Gently putting her on the bed, Terence looked at her with big poor puppy eyes.
"Although it's a week, your time is still on." Carla grimaced and turned sideways. She ducked under the
sheet and covered herself up.
"Who said that? I did agree to leave you alone for a week. However, I didn't say it was this week! It will
start next week!"
Terence muttered and held her and the blanket in his arms.
At first, his argument was soundly correct.
"What a good play, Terence. I am going to have my period next week. You cannot touch me during that
time anyways."
Giving her a quiet cunning smile, he pinched her jaw and replied, "What a smart lady to figure out my
almost perfect plan. For the sake of me living without a woman for four years only for you, can you give
a pass just this once?"
"I promise you I will try my best to stay away from liquor. If I have to have a drink, I will try my best to
drink as little as possible!"
"Can you forgive me for this one time?"
The calendar on the table had circles the dates when Carla will have her period. He looked at it after
they returned home. That was how he found out.
Terence continued to badger Carla, who wasn't responding to his pleas.
"Please? My most beautiful, sweet honey?"
Carla didn't say a single word.
"If you don't say anything, I will take it as a yes."
Carla totally didn't know what to say.
She felt speechless toward his shameless urges.
Even if she disagreed now, it wouldn't do anything good.
There was a saying that the arm was no match for the thigh - the weaker couldn't contend with the
stronger.
If he really wanted it, there was nothing she could do to stop him.
——
The next day, Carla stayed in house for almost the whole day. She had gone to the mall and bought
some gifts for the relatives they would be visiting.
Soon after, it was time for them to go to BH City.
Terence had arranged a helicopter for them.
Initially, Sean, Terence and Carla decided to go without Sally since she was still too young. They were
worried that she might get sick in a new environment. Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.
However, Sally didn't want to stay at home. She cried her way to earn herself a seat on the helicopter.
Finally, the four of them traveled to BH City.
It was almost noon when they arrived at the village.
Carla told the family about their visit. When they arrived, all the villagers were waiting for them on the
village entrance.
It was a small village. Most of the villagers had never seen a helicopter in their lives.
When the helicopter landed, everyone in the Ji family stood up and felt proud. They formally introduced
Carla, Sean, Terence and Sally to the crowd, "This is Carla's private helicopter. What do you think?
Isn't it awesome?"
Although everyone knew who Carla was, none of them responded immediately. After all, a rich relative
was just a relative, not family. However, making an effort to bridge their relationship closer was not a
bad idea.
The door finally opened. A black Evoque SUV drove out.
It was easier for them to get around with a car.
However, the road in the village was a little worse for wear, especially for city cars. Therefore, Terence
took the car with a high underpan with them.
After getting out the helicopter, Carla and Sean were immediately surrounded by the villagers.
A few moments later, they walked a little towards the village entrance.
Terence got out the helicopter while cradling Sally in his arms.
The mad welcoming commotion by the villagers gave him bad vibes.
He looked at them and surveyed the surrounding area. Behind him was an endless field and a clear
river. The environment had a simple yet comforting aura around it.
Then he got into the car with Sally.
It seemed that Carla and Sean were not going to take the car. All their relatives kept chatting with them
on the way into the village.
Finally, they went into Uncle James's house.
Uncle James had renovated his house two years ago. His house was comparably bigger than the
others.
Since Carla got out of the helicopter and headed to James' house, she hadn't had a chance to catch
her breath. She kept answering and talking to different villagers.
When she finally caught her breath, she realized her daughter and husband were not with her.
"Sean, have you seen Terence and Sally? Why aren't they here?"
Carla asked Sean.
At the moment, Uncle James was in shock. He asked, "What? What are you talking about? Is Mr.
Terence here too?" He couldn't look more surprised.
