Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 52
Chapter 52
Chapter 52 Rulning Her Plan to Remarry Pamien’s secretary sent the meal to Clarissa, who was
currently residing in the finance department
This gesture killed all the gossip instantly, and everyone looked at Clarissa with jealousy. After all, why
did President Lawrence pick Clarissa and not them? What did Clarissa bave over them, aside from her
pretty looks?
Plus, she just moved out of President Lawrence’s house a few days ago. Did the two already make up?
“I’ve already had mine.” Clarissa looked at the secretary hesitantly. “Just return it to him.”
“President Lawrence already had his too, and he sent this to you,” the secretary insisted, not giving
Clarissa a way to reject. “Alright. Thanks, I guess.” Clarissa gave up and decided to keep the food for
dinner later.
As she was about to continue working, she received a friend request from an account called Promised
Fashion Boutique. Thinking that it was a marketing account, she ignored it.
After a short while, her phone rang. The caller was Damien
“Why didn’t you accept it?” He sounded monotonous and cold,
But Clarissa knew she didn’t anger him today, so she excluded the possibility of her being the root of
his bad mood.

“Promised Fashion Boutique. They’ll be in charge of your dress. Accept it.” Damien hung up right after
that.
That left Clarissa feeling confused, ‘Why do I need a dress?’
But since Damien didn’t explain. Clarissa didn’t bother to ask either.
And so, she accepted the friend request.
The designer was very polite. “Hello, Mrs. Lawrence. Would it be okay if you send us a full body picture
of yourself? We’re planning a custom-made gift for you, and we need more information other than the
ones President Lawrence had given us.”
Clarissa followed their request,
“Thank you, Mrs. Lawrence. The final product will be done in three days.”
Clarissa spent the remaining of her day working, to the point she had forgotten about the dress.
Around sour in the evening, she felt a pang of hunger and caught sight of the packaged meal that lay at
the corner of her table. It would be a waste to throw it away, so she decided to have it there and then.
Unfortunately, the microwave was broken and she couldn’t heat up the meal.
The first thing Clarissa saw when she opened the meal was a heart shape drawn with ketchup.
She was stunned. Why did Madelynn bother doing all these when Damien was already married? The
meal wasn’t as cold as Clarissa expected it to be, and it was edible. Plus, Damien bad already
removed the egg yolk for lier. Upon noticing this small detail, a small smile appeared on Clarissa’s face,
Maybe it was the happiness that made the meal extra enjoyable. After work, she went home with
Damien. Strangely enough, his face and mood didn’t look good. “Did someone anger you?” Clarissa
asked.
“You.”
Clarissa was perplexed. She didn’t even meet him at all today, so how could it be hier?
She chose to keep silent and looked out of the window instead. “I have an appointment with someone
this coming Saturday, and the dress is meant for that day,” Damien said abruptly. “But… Shouldn’t our
contract marriage be kept as a secret? Would it be okay for me to attend it with you?” Clarissa sounded
worried.
“Everyone knew about our marriage already, so there’s no use trying to cover it up.” Damien held the
steering wheel with one hand, his eyes focused on the road.
Clarissa thought to herself, ‘Of course it’s easy for you to say! You’d still have a bunch of ladies going
after you even after you divorce me, but what about me? People are going to think I’m a gold digger,
and I probably won’t be able to remarry again.’
Her dissatisfaction was written all over her face. A while ago, she was touched because Damien
removed the egg yolk for her. Now, she felt like punching him. It seemed her mood was on a roller
coaster today. …All thanks to Damien Lawrence! “Why are you unhappy?” Damien cocked his head
and looked at Clarissa. “It’s nothing.” Clarissa sounded wronged, as if she was close to crying. “Are you
afraid you won’t be able to remarry in the future?” Damien sneered. “You sure plan for your future a
lot.” That made Clarissa feel awkward, so she decided to fake being asleep.
