Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 441

Chapter 441 Don’t Worry About Me After Damien and Neil left Don’s house, the former received a text

message on his phone. It was from Clarissa.

Clarissa: (How did you get to know Caleb?]

Damien didn‘t reply to her. Clarissa already knew there was a high chance he wouldn’t reply to her.

Perhaps he rarely paid attention to his phone.

Since Damien didn’t bother to reply to her, Clarissa found the whole ordeal quite awkward.

Meanwhile, Damien took Neil’s hand and led his son through the campus grounds. He felt that it had

been a very long time since he was exposed to such a relaxing atmosphere.

The last time he did so, it was with a certain someone in this particular university.

“Daddy, you mentioned that the pretty lady is your wife. Does that mean you‘ve developed feelings for

her?” Neil asked.

“Yes.”

“I knew it, Daddy! You‘re always silent and brooding on the outside, but the feelings are clear to you! If

you have feelings for her, you must hang on to them! Also, you have to let that nice guy know about

your feelings for her!” Neil could barely contain his excitement. “If not, I‘ll be scared for the nice guy

since he‘s so pure and innocent.” “Why would you be afraid for him?” Damien asked. “I‘m scared he

might get hurt.” “Aren‘t you worried about me?” “But Daddy, you‘re capable of doing anything,” Neil

replied proudly. Damien couldn‘t help but chuckle.

Both of them shuffled slowly down the path as they prepared to make their way home.

Soon, Neil let out a yawn. “Are you sleepy already?” Damien asked.

“Mhm.”

Damien bent down and scooped his son into his arms. Neil curled up happily in his father’s arms and

dozed off soon enough.

The lights illuminating the path from the staff dorms must be quite dim, because neither father nor son

noticed a woman standing near them.

She was Chanel Kirk.

Chanel had gone downstairs in her pajamas to take out the trash, so she looked rather disheveled.

After dumping the trash into the trash can, she was on her way back when she heard a voice

drifting from behind her. This voice left an imprint in her heart. After the speaker uttered the first word,

Chanel could recognize him as Damien right away. Almost immediately, memories flooded Chanel‘s

mind.

She had met up with Damien for the final time back in Rale University. After that, she confessed to him

and said all sorts of things to him. Yet, he remained impassive.

From the way Damien talked to his son earlier and how affectionately he held his son, Chanel realized

that Damien would never show her that gentle side of his. No matter how radiant and successful she

was in the past, he never spared a look in her direction. Now that she was all disheveled and ragged

from throwing trash, it would only decrease the chances of him noticing her Chanel already knew from

the start that Damien would only come to the University of Florin if she managed to coax Clarissa into

taking up a job here. She wanted to see that charming and handsome man again, and drink in his

impassive and cold expression. After all, he was the man she could never be with in this lifetime.

As expected, Damien came back. He came here for Clarissa, not for Chanel.

No matter how big the waves rose and how strong they crashed down onto the shores of her heart on

the inside, Chanel could only look calm on the outside. C0pyright © 2024 Nôv)(elDrama.Org.

The next day, Clarissa was eating in the staff cafeteria when she bumped into Chanel by‘ coincidence.”

“Hey, Chanel,” she greeted her enthusiastically.

“Did Damien come here last night, Clarissa?” Chanel always seemed calm whenever she mentioned

Damien’s name. It was as if he was just an old classmate to her.

As expected, Clarissa’s hand trembled slightly at the mention of his name. “Uh, I think so. He came to

watch the basketball game.” “Oh, but I saw him going to Indigo Hall last night.” Clarissa couldn‘t help

but frown. “What‘s he doing there? I don‘t know anything. We‘re already divorced, after all. I don‘t know

what‘s going on with his life.” “Why don‘t you host a dinner for us? We‘re old classmates, after all,”

Chanel suggested lightly Chanel was the only one who knew just how much Clarissa loved and adored

Damien despite the latter’s façade of nonchalance.

“Sure, no problem. I’ll ask him another time.” Clarissa then thought to herself, ‘Well, they were

classmates in the past. Besides, Chanel already has a husband.”

After that, Clarissa’s thoughts wandered to the matter of Damien paying Indigo Hall a visit.‘ Grandpa

used to teach at the University of Florin, so he might have a few close friends here. Maybe the reason

why Damien went to Indigo Hall was to catch up with these friends.
