Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 425

Chapter 425 A Man In Love Damien reached for the contract and gave it to Ray. “Revise the contract

according to their needs. Next time, you’ll sign the contract in my stead. We’ll take our leave for now.”

Then, Damien stood up, prepared to walk outside.

When he reached the door, he looked back suddenly. “Do you want to leave together, Miss Johnson?”

Clarissa was stunned. After hesitating for a moment, she replied, “I’ll leave later. Thank you for the

offer, President Lawrence.”

After Damien left, Clarissa was so anxious that she didn’t even dare to breathe. Her forehead was filled

with sweat.

“Are you okay, Miss Johnson? Are you sick?” Charles asked, concerned.

“Yes, I’m fine,” Clarissa replied absent-mindedly.

“Miss Johnson, you have to be there the next time we sign the contract, okay? I’m worried they might

add in new things that might put us at a disadvantage,” Charles said. “You don’t have to worry. That

won’t happen.” Clarissa smiled. “You’re probably right. New East is a well-established company. I don’t

think President Lawrence will risk his reputation by pulling petty tricks on us. If that’s the case, do you

wish to be present when we sign the contract?” Charles asked.

“Yes, I’ll be there,” Clarissa said. She remembered clearly that Damien said he wouldn’t come for the

next time, so she agreed. In the car, Damien kept looking out of the window.

“Don’t think too much about it. Since she’s Eden Investment’s employee, it’s only natural for her to be

diligent during work. She’s always been responsible at work.” Ray tried to talk some sense into

Damien.

“Who are you talking about?” Damien didn’t seem to be listening to Ray’s words at all as he turned to

look at him.

“I’m talking about Clarissa!” Ray raised his voice,

“I don’t care about her at all.” Damien turned around and reached for a cigarette, seemingly

unperturbed.

At Grandpa’s house.

The moment Damien left the house, Neil woke up from his nap.

When he saw Caleb, he said happily, “Caleb, you’re here! Daddy told me you’ll be babysitting me

today.”

“That’s right. Come here, I’ll teach you how to draw.” Then, Caleb placed his hands under Neil’s armpit

and carried him up.

Neil giggled happily.

“Caleb, Mrs. Faber told me you’re really good at drawing. Can you teach me how to draw?” Neil asked

with a childish voice.

“Sure.” Neil and Caleb walked to Grandpa’s study. In the past, Grandpa loved drawing as well. He had Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.

all kinds of drawing tools at home.

Grabbing the pencil, the first thing that Caleb attempted to draw was a strand of hair.

The moment the pencil landed on the paper, he had the urge to draw Clarissa’s face. However, he

thought twice before doing it. If Damien figured out that he had a crush on Clarissa, Mrs. Faber would

know about it sooner or later too.

He didn’t want his mother to find out about his crush so early on! She would certainly object to his

choice of partner. What was more, Clarissa was his teacher who was five years older than him.

He could already guess his mother’s reaction the moment she found out about it. Thus, Caleb thought

that it was better to break it to his mother after Clarissa agreed to become his girlfriend.

Knowing how stubborn Clarissa was, it might take a long time before Caleb could successfully win her

heart. So, he decided to get rid of the drawing by squashing it into a ball and throwing it into the

dustbin.

He had only drawn a silhouette of Clarissa’s hair before abandoning the drawing completely. “Neil,

come here. I’ll draw something for you.”

“Okay!”

“Sit down and don’t go anywhere, okay? You can only move when you want to drink some water or

when you need the toilet.”

“Okay, I’ll play with my toys right here.”

“I’ll draw now. Just give me a moment.” While he was busy drawing, Neil went to the washroom only

two times. Aside from that, he had been focusing on playing with his toys. Caleb was deeply impressed

by Neil’s ability to retain his focus for so long. The moment he finished drawing, Damien and Ray

arrived at the house.

When Damien saw Caleb’s drawing, he asked, “Did you draw this?”

While carrying his bag, he said, “Yes, Mr. Lawrence. For such a young kid, your son’s really good at

focusing the task on hand. He’s a smart boy!” When Damien heard Caleb praising his child, pride filled

him. However, he didn’t show it and simply said, “Thank you.”

“You’re welcome. Mr. Lawrence, I’ll be taking my leave for now. I’ll be a student ambassador tomorrow

to welcome the new intakes for this year. If the event ends early, I’ll send you off. I have to give Neil

something, anyway.”

“It’s alright. You don’t have to send me off when you have things to do,” Damien said.

Caleb smiled. He had already made up his mind to do it.

“Why don’t you stay for dinner? I’ll prepare something right now.” While saying that, Ray wore the

apron, about to prepare dinner.

“Don’t keep him. He’s a man in love. He has priorities,” Damien joked as he sat on the sofa.

Caleb lowered his head and smiled. “I’m sorry, but thank you for understanding.”
