Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 394

Chapter 394 Why Do You Cry Whenever There’s a Problem?

After listening to Mrs. Faber, Damien now knew what had happened.

At around nine in the morning, Mrs. Laing had brought Neil out to enjoy the sun. She had turned to

have a chat with the other nannies for a short while, and when she turned back. Neil had already gone

missing.

Damien wasn’t as panicked as Clarissa was.

He called the subsidiary company and had them book two tickets to Genovia. Then, he called Iris.

“What are you up to, kidnapping my son? Aren’t you afraid of going to jail?” he said coldly “You’ve got

this wrong, President Lawrence. I didn’t do anything. Your son’s grandmother, Helen, was the one who

took him away. The moment I heard about this, I had Helen bring the baby to me. Shouldn’t you be

thanking me? Just so you know, I’m watching your son while you’re busy with Clarissa in Emmeria,” Iris

said.

When Clarissa heard this, her heart sank.

As expected, she was right to be worried.

Also, who was Neil’s grandmother?

“I’m going back to Merania now. If you dare to harm a hair on his head, I won’t let you off the hook!”

Damien said warningly.

“I’ll be waiting for you.”

Damien headed to the airport with Clarissa in tow. On the way there, her resentment for him grew. It

was all his fault! If not for him, this wouldn’t have happened.

If anything were to happen to Neil, she would tear Damien to shreds! On the plane, she couldn’t stop

crying. She kept blaming him. “Alright, that’s enough crying. Why do you cry whenever there’s a

problem?” Damien watched her as she wept. She slowly stopped crying, and eventually fell asleep.

Throughout the remainder of the flight, she didn’t say a word to him.

Damien held Clarissa’s hand in his as they stepped into the villa. They were greeted by the sight of Iris

seated on the sofa with Neil in her arms.

He was sleeping soundly.

Mrs. Faber was standing next to them, her eyes glued on Iris. When Iris saw them, she said, “You

came back together? The child’s grandmother, Helen, wanted to see him. She took him away for a

couple of hours when she saw that the child’s nanny wasn’t around. There’s bad blood between Helen

and me, so how could I let her get away with it? I brought your son back for you. Here you go.” Damien

shot Mrs. Faber a look, and she took Neil from Iris.

“What did you say? Neil’s grandmother?” Clarissa was quick to pick up on this. This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

This was her first time seeing Iris up close. Iris was beautiful, but she had a wicked heart.

She was even more venomous than Madelynn. Madelynn was cruel and vicious, but she didn’t have

the brains to match. Iris wasn’t like that, however. She was terribly smart, and had plenty of tricks to

make Clarissa give in to her. “Why, didn’t President Lawrence tell you? Your mother, Helen Jackson,

used to be my assistant. She seduced a famous actor, Charles Griffin, and gave birth to an illegitimate

child you. Having a child out of wedlock was a shameful thing, so she had to send you away together

with an emerald ring that she stole from me. The ring looks like this, doesn’t it?” Iris pulled out a ring

and gestured for Clarissa to take it. Clarissa slowly walked over to her and looked closely at the ring.

Indeed, it was identical to the one she once had. It couldn’t be the one that belonged to her, because

hers had already sunk to the bottom of the lake in Genovia Park. There was no way they could have

retrieved it from there.

“President Lawrence, you have to thank me for this. Helen kidnapped your beloved son, and I’m

against everything that she does. Anyway, you warned me before this, and I know how powerful you

and New East Corporation are. I’ll listen to everything that you say.” Iris smiled. Clarissa watched her

closely, then said, “You’re not Iris Benson!”
