Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 381

Chapter 381

Chapter 381 Looking For His Photos Chanel couldn‘t help chuckling. It was as if she was saying, “It‘s

all in the past. What‘s there to talk about?”

“Damien‘s always had an old head on young shoulders, and it seemed like it was impossible for him to

make a mistake. He was so arrogant that he barely spared us even a glance. He was handsome and

rich, and so perfect that he didn‘t even seem like an actual human being. When you‘re young, it‘s hard

not to be attracted to a guy like that, right? I‘m no exception,” Chanel began, still smiling.

“Him? Perfect?” Clarissa frowned.

“Isn‘t he?”

She snorted. “He has a bad temper, and he‘s a male chauvinist pig. Everything has to go his way, and

he‘s especially nasty in bed. He torments me in unthinkable ways.” Clarissa only realized her last

sentence was rather inappropriate after saying it out loud. She stopped talking immediately.

Chanel smiled. “Maybe it‘s because I‘ve always thought of him as a picture–perfect idol, someone that I

could never get. But to you, he‘s an actual person. Why did you guys get divorced?”

“That happened a long time ago. We just never got remarried,” Clarissa said.

Chanel patted Clarissa‘s hand.

Clarissa fell silent. She felt that Chanel was probably going to turn down her request for Damien‘s

photo. After all, it was something personal to her.

Clarissa pursed her lips and confessed, “You might not know this, but he actually didn‘t agree with me

leaving the country this time. He even said he wouldn‘t allow me to step into the house for the rest of

my life, and that he wouldn‘t allow me to even have a look at my son. I wanted a photo of Neil...”

At this point. Clarissa suddenly felt miserable and couldn‘t help weeping. “I wanted a photo of Neil, but

he refused to give it to me. He said I have to use a photo of him in exchange for ten of Neil‘s, but I

didn‘t even manage to find a single photo of him. I really miss Neil, and...”

She couldn‘t continue.

She felt like she was the world‘s most pitiful mother.

“You wanted to see whether you could get a photo of him from me?” Chanel‘s tone was gentle. “You

probably thought the photo I said I kept in my purse was of him, didn‘t you?”

“Isn‘t it?” Clarissa looked up, surprised. “No ” Chanel shook her head, and finally showed Clarissa the

photo. Clarissa had always been curious to see it, and now that she finally had the chance to, she saw

that it really wasn‘t of Damien

Instead, it was a man Glarissa she didn‘t know or recognize He was wearing a suit, and he looked

handsome and well–educated at the same time, he also gave off a manly vibe.

Clarissa was confused. “It‘s not...? You don‘t have any photos of Damien either?”

Chanel shook her head. “I don‘t know why I was so stubborn back then. For many years. Damien was

my obsession. I kept studying and studying so I could catch up with him. Later on, though, I met my

husband. He came from a good family, but he was volunteering as a teacher in a mountainous area.

His upstanding character moved me, and we got married three months after meeting each other. I told

you earlier that people change. Feelings change, and so do obsessions. It was because of him that I

became a teacher. He once told me it was his life‘s dream to educate others.”

She didn‘t look at Clarissa as she said this. She stared into the distance, a tiny smile playing on her

lips.

Clarissa knew that if a relationship could bring a smile to someone’s face, then it was the right one.

She felt a hint of relief. However, it was accompanied by a hint of despair. RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

She was relieved that she had one less rival in love–Chanel was no longer in love with Damien. And

she was in despair over the fact that she couldn‘t find a single photo of Damien. It looked like she could

forget about taking a look at Neil! “I used to have a boyfriend who volunteered as a teacher as well. Did

you know about that?” Clarissa asked Chanel.

The sensitive topic that had once driven a wedge between them no longer existed, and coupled with

Chanel‘s gentle personality, Clarissa couldn‘t resist sharing some of her private matters with her.

“You did? Why did you guys break up?” Chanel returned to her senses. “He passed away while saving

a kid who was going to drown.”
