Chapter 414
Wilbur drove himself and Walter toward the freeway.
Anya City was on the outskirts of Kardon Province, about five hundred kilometers away from Seechertown. It would be at least a six to seven-hour drive.
Wilbur said nothing as he drove. Walter was quiet in the backseat as well.
Walter had been in Seechertown for over ten days as it had taken him quite stto find Wilbur.
Despite the fact that Wilbur definitely seemed rich, he was probably a far cry from Joel. After all, Joel was worth billions as Anya City's richest man.
Besides, Joel's company, Viewspring Corp, had a hand in multiple industries and built quite a reputable nand network for itself.
With all these factors, Walter honestly did not know what Wilbur would do.
Walter himself had faced quite a few bumps in the road as Ethan's lawyer. The power of the William family was far beyond imagination.
Ethan had paid Walter a good amount of money, so Walter was trying his best.
The rest was up to fate. NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.
It was in the wee hours of the morning when Wilbur and Walter arrived at Anya City. As such, they decided to stay at a hotel.
Wilbur said, "I'd like to see Ethan later today, so please get that arranged. Also, I'll pay you double of whatever you've been paid so far. Please help us out here." "Of course, of course." Walter was overjoyed. This was quite a big sum of money. Rich people truly were a generous breed.
It was a shthat there was no way he would be able to win over Joel William. However, Walter did not say that out loud as he simply left in a hurry.
Wilbur sat on the couch, his brows furrowed as he mumbled to himself, "My brother. We went through life and death together, my brother. I'm going to avenge you, so don't you worry about it." He then pushed the thought to the back of his mind and began to meditate.
Wilbur was worried that he might just head out and kill that Joel guy right there and then if he continued to think about it any further.
At around three in the afternoon, Walter called Wilbur to tell him that the papers had been filled out and Wilbur could head to the detention center.
Wilbur called a cab at once, heading over.
He met Walter at the entrance. Once there, Walter showed the guards the relevant papers and Wilbur was finally able to see Ethan.
Ethan looked forlorn as he was escorted into the meeting room, his beard unkempt as his wrists and ankles were cuffed.
His eyes widened at the sight of Wilbur, tearing up as he shouted, "Boss!" Wilbur nodded with a smile, asking Ethan to sit down.
Ethan sat across them, with two guards on either side of him in supervision.
"Don't worry. Everything's fine now that I'm here," Wilbur said.
Ethan was overwhelmed with emotion. "I knew you'd never abandon me, Boss." "Of course not. We went through life and death together. I'd never be able to stand and watch something bad happen to any of my men." "Thank you, Boss." "Tellnow. Was your house collapsing an accident?" Ethan immediately becmad. "It was definitely not an accident. | saw traces of dynamite around the house after it collapsed.
However, the authorities ruled it as a natural disaster instead. That's why | went to talk to Joel, but they ganged up on me. | lost it then and beat Joel's son to death." "Is that so? For what it's worth, I'm glad his son's dead." Wilbur completely trusted Ethan in the matter. Ethan was a demolition expert, so there was no way he was wrong about the dynamite.
"Hey! Watch what you're saying," one of the supervising guards shouted at Wilbur.
