Living With My Lady Boss

Chapter 223

Chapter 223

It was none other than Dorson. He grabbed Sherry by the neck, shickling himself behind her.

Breaking through the wall required him to use spirit energy, and he had no choice but to show himself.

At the same time, a team of officers from the control room had rushed over, surrounding the detention cell and pointing their guns at Dorson.

“Don’t move! Let Miss Divos go!” one of the officers shouted.

Dorson paid him no mind, patiently waiting.

He was prepared to die while carrying out the mission but would still choose to escape if given a chance to reunite with his family at home. As long as he completed the mission he had been assigned, the company would probably not fault him.

Just then, Elsa rushed to the scene. She pointed her gun at Dorson and asked, “Who are you, and why did you kill Jordan Pavian?”

Elsa was beyond furious right now. Someone had broken into the department and killed an important criminal. Not only would this be a grave incompetence on her part, but it was also humiliating. If this man was not holding someone hostage, she would have ripped him apart already.

“Get me a car with a full tank of gas and send everyone away! I’ll let her go when I’ve reached somewhere safe,” Dorson said coldly.

Elsa shouted, “Why should I believe you? Surrendering is your best option right now!”

Dorson tightened his grip on Sherry’s neck, who cried out in agony.NôvelDrama.Org (C) content.

Elsa’s expression tightened for a while. Eventually, she put down her gun slowly.

Forcing herself to calm down, she glanced at Jordan’s corpse. This killer had been able to sneak into Special Forces without leaving a trace. That was a bad sign.

“Let’s talk this out. Do

hurt the girl. We’ll work with you,” Elsa said.

She took out her phone in secret, dialing Wilbur’s number before slipping the phone back into her pocket and continuing to negotiate with Dorson.

Wilbur picked up the call. He said hello twice but there was no answer.

“Sh*t! Elsa’s in trouble.”

That was all Wilbur managed to say to Faye before he hurried out of the house, rushing off toward the Special Forces department.

“Get me a car with a full tank of gas.” Dorson did not say anything else. He tightened his grip on Sherry even more, and she screamed as tears streamed down her face.

Elsa saw that and finally said, “Stop! Get him the car,

“Yes, madam,” One of her subordinates called out, rushing off to do as told.

“You heard him! We’re getting it done for you. Please calm down!” Elsa said.

Dorson said nothing, waiting silently.

After a little over ten minutes and another threat from Dorson, Elsa had no choice but to follow through with giving him the

“Everybody stand back!” Dorson threatened, using Sherry as a shield as he shuffled outside with his back to the wall.

There was no way to shoot at him from where everyone was, and all Elsa could do was watch as he left with Sherry.

She did her best to follow him from a distance.

Elsa was certain this man was a cultivator, or he would have never been able to sneak in like that and kill Jordan successfully.

The only solution she could think of in a situation like this was to ask for Wilbur’s help.

She sure hoped that Wilbur could hurry up

Another few minutes passed, and Dorson had reached the compound outside of the department. There was a car parked in the middle of the clearing.

“Tell the two snipers on the roof to leave,” Dorson said coldly.

Elsa sighed, waving a hand. The two snipers were forced to retreat.

With a fierce grip on Sherry still, Dorson dashed to the car at lightning speed before anyone could even react.

He opened the door and tossed Sherry toward Elsa in one swift move.

At the same time, he channeled a wave of spirit energy into Sherry. Sherry was flung through the air, blood spraying from her mouth before she landed in a heap in front of Elsa.
