Chapter 25 Missing Because Of The Separation (Part Two)
Chapter 25 Missing Because Of The Separation (Part Two)
Jackson had imagined that when they finally met each other again, they might have countless sweet
words to exchange and he would promise to take good care of her, have a fancy wedding and live
happily with her for the rest of his life.
But now, he couldn't say the words that he had always wanted to say to her.
Jackson slowly pushed her away. He looked at her and gently said,"Sally, I'm sorry. I'm now married."
Saying these words, Jackson's mind filled with thoughts about Cherry.
Sally He couldn't believe what she had just heard. With her eyes wide open, she said,"What, what are
you talking about?"
Jackson knew that she was shocked by the news. And she might not be able to accept this fact
promptly.
"I'm married," repeated Jackson.
Sally shook her head hard and couldn't control her emotions. "No! No! No! How could you get married
without me? You promised that you would marry me. How could you get married? How could you get
married?"
Sally He was highly agitated and Jackson tried to comfort her. "Sally, please calm down."
"No, no, Jackson! Every time I felt bleak about life, I would think of you. I believed that you would marry
me and we would live happily together, so I waited and waited. I have been waiting for more than ten
years. How can you get married, if the bride is not me?" Sally He howled. Her emotions were out of
control and she almost broke down.
"Sally, I'm sorry. I'm sorry." Jackson did not know what else to say.
Sally suddenly grabbed Jackson by his arms and hysterically said,"Jackson, please divorce that
woman and marry me. I want to be with you." Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.
Jackson helplessly said,"I'll not divorce her."
Everything was doomed after these words.
Sally He was completely stunned. Jackson finally realized how deeply he loved Cherry.
"Jackson, are you in love with her?" As soon as she finished her question, Sally He gently closed her
eyes and fainted.
Jackson immediately supported her. She was as weak as before.
In the bedroom, Jackson was taking care of Sally, who was still unconscious. However, in his heart, he
was worried about Cherry. He wondered whether she had applied medicine to her scalded skin, and
whether she was afraid of being all alone at home.
Cherry stayed at home by herself for two days. She couldn't fall asleep at night and she did not know
what to do during the day. She could only sit on the cold floor, lost in thought. She hadn't had anything
except for some cold water for these two days.
In the afternoon, the sunlight shone from the floor-to-ceiling window into the living room. Cherry was
sitting on the floor next to the sofa and looking at the scenery outside. She suddenly got up and went
upstairs to change clothes and get her bag. She was going to look for Emily at the bar. Emily was the
only one who could give her company now.
When Cherry walked into the bar, she saw Emily standing at the counter. She went straight to her.
"Emily," said Cherry, without even a smile.
At first, Emily did not notice that there was something wrong with Cherry. She happily laughed and
shouted,"Cherry, here you are! Finally, Jackson has let you meet me."
She took Cherry's scalded hand.
"Ah!" Cherry cried out in pain.
"Cherry, what's the matter with you?" asked Emily, worriedly. She looked down at her hand and saw
that some of the scalded blisters were already oozing. What's wrong with your hand?" asked Emily.
Cherry stayed silent.
Only now did Emily realize that there was something wrong with Cherry. She was pale and had lost a
lot of weight. The wound on her hand was even stranger.
Looking at people around them, Emily knew that it was not a good place for them to talk. She softly
said to Cherry,"Follow me."
She took Cherry by her arm and tried not to touch her wounded hand.
When they walked into the employee aisle, Emily stopped to look at her hand and angrily asked,"What
the hell is going on? Who did it?"
"It was me," said Cherry.
"Are you an idiot? Why didn't you apply medicine to the wound?" Emily scolded her, although she was
distressed to see her scalds. She would rather she was the one who was hurt instead of Cherry.
Cherry stayed silent again.
At this moment, Stephen came in and immediately saw Cherry.
Emily too saw Stephen and greeted him at once,"Hello, Mr. Stephen."
"Hi, Emily and Cherry," said Stephen, as he looked at Cherry.
"How are you doing?" Cherry nodded and greeted him, too.
Stephen suddenly noticed Cherry's scalded hand, which Emily was holding. He frowned and
asked,"What's wrong with your hand?"
Emily complained,"She was so careless that she scalded herself. And she did not even apply
medicine."
Cherry hurriedly said,"I'm all right." She did not want others to feel pity for her and she did not want
more people to know about it.
Stephen knew at once that she was merely pretending to be strong. Judging from her pale and weak
appearance, he guessed that she must have had a bad time at home.
"Let's go to my office. There is medicine there," said Stephen, taking Cherry by the other arm and
walking to his office.
Emily hurriedly said,"Mr. Stephen, please help me take good care of her. I'll pick her up after work."
"Got it," answered Stephen without looking back.
