Chapter 200
Chapter 200
No one would ever commit such a foolish act.
If Scarlett were to propose such an idea to the manager, it would undoubtedly invite criticism.
With the guests having already booked for a week, amounting to 448 thousand dollars at 64,000 dollars per day, asking the manager to refund a portion of the money to the guests would be preposterous.
However, Scarlett, who had been working for a year or two and was quite shrewd, swiftly adjusted her tone and said to Lillian, “Lillian, some matters are best left for in-person discussions, not over the phone. We’ll talk discreetly when you arrive…”
After this comment, Scarlett immediately shifted the conversation with a sly grin and remarked, “Lillian, this relative of yours is a guy, right? Is he married? If not, introduce him to me. A handsome guy like that should stay within the family, shouldn’t he?”
Lillian managed a wry smile and replied, “He’s not married, but…”
Truth be told, if the opportunity had arisen, Lillian wouldn’t have objected to Oliver becoming Scarlett’s husband. After all, family connections generally held more weight than they currently did. Scarlett possessed not only beauty but also confidence, and her standards for men were notably high. Oliver’s wealth clearly surpassed her prerequisites.
Nonetheless, circumstances might have been different if it weren’t for Lillian’s encounter with Sienna. When a man achieved affluence, the foremost concerns that arose were money, influence, and relationships with women. While Scarlett was undeniably stunning, there was an evident disparity when compared to Sienna.
Lillian responded casually in the car, as discussing such matters openly with Simon driving would not be appropriate.
Scarlett was unaware of this. Upon hearing Lillian mention that Oliver wasn’t married, Scarlett immediately smiled and remarked, “Then, Lillian, you should introduce him to me. With my looks and professional demeanor, I’m very confident.”
To be frank, Scarlett typically wouldn’t consider ordinary wealthy people, but someone who casually booked an entire floor of presidential suites couldn’t be classified as ordinary.
They arrived at Radiance Hotel shortly. Scarlett had already arranged for two security guards and a hotel attendant to await them at the entrance.
Two imposing Rolls-Royces were parked at the hotel entrance, and the two security guards swiftly opened the car doors to welcome them.
The first to step out was Wayne, who came around to assist Oliver. Oliver was

holding Yancy, with Calista following as they disembarked.
When a security guard extended his hand to take Yancy, Oliver shook his head and stated, “No need. I’ll handle it myself.”
The second car contained Frederick, Lillian, and Melinda.
Witnessing the grand spectacle, Frederick felt a bit lightheaded, as it seemed like they were the CEOs of some major corporation. At that moment, a notion crossed his mind. He thought, “I must get rich in
this lifetime!”
Only the wealthy could afford to look down on everything and relish such extraordinary treatment.
Scarlett leaned in close to Lillian, discreetly surveying the people present. She didn’t recognize Wayne, Simon, Oliver, and Calista, so she quietly asked Lillian, “Lillian, which one of them is… that relative of yours?”
In a hushed tone, Lillian responded, “The one holding Yancy is Frederick’s eldest sister’s son. The one with him is Frederick’s older sister. Both of them are doting on Yancy. They don’t care about anything else; it’s him who’s paying for everything…”
Scarlett then cast a brief glance at Wayne and Simon. “What about those two? Is the car theirs, too?”
Scarlett possessed a profound understanding of cars, far beyond Lillian’s knowledge. Scarlett was well aware of the value of the two Rolls-Royces.
Nowadays, many people drove luxury cars. That didn’t necessarily mean they owned them, though. They could be rented or borrowed.
Lillian continued to speak quietly as they entered the hotel. “They’re all his. Those two are his bodyguard and driver.”
check-in
The rooms were all set for them, sparing them the hassle of any procedures. This privilege wasn’t restricted to guests who booked entire floors of luxury suites; even those who secured just one presidential suite were regarded as the utmost VIPs, receiving exclusive services from the hotel.
Scarlett, as a relative of the guests and a supervisor of the housekeeping department, led the way upstairs with several hotel attendants.
On the top floor, there were a total of eight suites. Frederick, Lillian, and Yancy occupied one suite, Melinda occupied one, Oliver occupied one, Wayne and Simon each had one, and Calista had another. This meant that they used only six suites, leaving two unoccupied.
Scarlett suggested, “Mr. Eastwood, there are two extra suites. Would you like me to arrange check-out procedures for them?”
Oliver responded to her without so much as a glance in her direction. “No need; I prefer a peaceful setting. That’s why I’ve booked the entire floor. You needn’t
worry if there’s anyone else staying.”
Scarlett perceived his response as a subtle dig.

“He’s quite insistent on having a quiet setting, going as far as booking the entire floor. The suites on this level are exceptional, boasting top-notch soundproofing. Even if there were a ruckus in one room, it wouldn’t disturb the neighboring ones,” she mused. Nevertheless, she kept her thoughts to herself.
There was no need for all those words; he was clearly someone who spared no
expense.
Of course, Scarlett wasn’t really trying to help Oliver refund the two suites. She just wanted to make a good impression on him, to show that she was considerate.
Unfortunately, Oliver didn’t even spare her a glance. He was too engrossed in holding Yancy.
Upon reaching their rooms, neither Wayne nor Simon headed to their respective suites. Instead, they followed Oliver into his suite.
The business suite not only featured a bedroom but also included a parlor room, almost like a small conference room with full functionality.
The presidential suite, on the other hand, was even more luxurious. It boasted a master bedroom, a spacious living room, a conference room, a study, and two adjoining rooms for personal assistants. It was unquestionably costly, but it justified its price.
Frederick’s family was staying in the presidential suite, and when Melinda saw the room, she was truly amazed. After a moment, she exclaimed, “This room is incredibly spacious, and there are several unoccupied bedrooms. I can use one of them. It’ll be convenient to care for Yancy while being with all of you. There’s no need for me to stay separately.”
Oliver paid her no mind. After all, he had booked the entire floor, and they could arrange things as they pleased.
At this point, the situation was still unclear, and Yancy’s illness remained a mystery. They had to wait for Diego and Derek to arrive and assess the situation.
Scarlett arranged for the attendant to provide cold drinks, wine, and food, but Oliver was not in the mood. He waved her off and asked her to talk about it later.
She nodded and took the attendant outside.
Oliver called Calista, Wayne, and Simon into another room and asked, “Has anyone here ever seen a situation like this before?”
Wayne and Simon shook their heads blankly, indicating that they hadn’t.
Calista, both worried and anxious, said, “What should we do now?”
“Mom, don’t worry,” Oliver said with a thoughtful look. “Yancy’s condition is really strange. It’s far from normal. Let’s wait for Diego and Derek to arrive and assess the situation. Try not to be too anxious. I’ll take charge of this. Regardless of how Uncle Frederick and the others may treat me, I’ll bear full responsibility for Yancy’s condition.”/
With Oliver’s reassurance, Calista found some solace, even though the

inexplicable nature of Yancy’s condition left her both astonished and powerless. She wouldn’t mind if money could resolve the issue, as Oliver was capable of earning and had resources to spare.
The main concern was the fear that, even with money, there might be no available treatment!
