He was speaking to Larry.

Larry immediately released his hand and smiled, "My bad."

Harper was also stunned, and her cheeks subconsciously turned red when she realized that Benjamin was referring to Larry's hand holding her arm. Lauren's expression instantly became unsightly.

Larry narrowed his eyes and said, "Okay, your wife is already here. Can we leave now?"

Benjamin said nothing.

Larry added, "Lauren, you must not have eaten yet, right? Let's go, I'll eat something with you. It's time for you to rest. Leave this place to Harper." Lauren subconsciously looked at Benjamin, but he showed no reaction.

Did he think the same way?

She whispered, "I should stay and take care of Benjamin. After all, he was injured because of me. I would feel guilty if Harper took care of him."

She deliberately mentioned Benjamin was injured because of her, just to let Harper understand that Benjamin would risk his life for her. She hoped that Harper would take the initiative to leave.

But Harper didn't even look at her the whole time, which made Lauren extremely angry, but she couldn't show it in front of Benjamin.

She clenched her hands and said, "Harper, are you angry with me?

I'm sorry. Don't blame Benjamin. It's all my fault. He has been in a car accident and become like this because of me. I would rather be the one who had the car accident and lay here now. Can you please not be angry? I will take responsibility for everything."

"How are you going to be responsible? Is it for me to drive you into this and have you hospitalized as well, or for the Martin family to ban you? You keep saying you're wrong. What is your mistake? If you know you're wrong, you should shut up."

Harper's words were harsh as she coldly glared at Lauren.

The whole ward fell silent instantly because of Harper's voice.

Lauren was so aggrieved that her eyes were red. She was on the verge of crying out.

She wanted to say something, but Harper's eyes had moved away. She could only look at Benjamin and whispered, "Benjamin, I..."

"Lauren, let's go and have something to eat. You have been busy all day."

Larry interrupted her, stepped forward to grab her arm, and walked out.

The door closes again.

The atmosphere in the ward was quiet.

They looked at each other, and no one intended to speak.

They were stalemated like this for several minutes. Benjamin stared at her and whispered, "Are you unhappy that you come to the hospital?"

"No," Harper answered calmly.

"Harper, why haven't you come back since you got home yesterday? Have you forgotten who you are?"

"What am I?" She asked rhetorically.

Benjamin frowned, "We are husband and wife. I was lying in the hospital after the operation and you left before I woke up. Aren't you worried that I won't wake up?"

He stared at her coldly, and in the end, Harper could only look away from him.

She whispered, "I didn't sleep all night. I slept very late after returning home yesterday. You have Curtis here. I also asked the hospital about your situation and didn't come here until I knew you were awake. What's more, isn't Ms. Davis here? You were injured because of her. I thought you wanted to see her more than me."

"Are you angry?"

He looked at her face. Although her tone was as usual, he could hear she was angry.

Harper smiled lightly, "Benjamin, do you think I should be angry?"

He frowned at her.

She added, "You said we are husband and wife, but you got into a car accident in the middle of the night in a heavy rainstorm to find another woman. Shouldn't I be angry?"

He subconsciously wanted to sit up, but his movement was too big and injured the wound.

He frowned in pain.

Harper immediately stepped forward and held him down with her hands. "Don't move."

In the ward filled with disinfectant, Harper's faintly unique scent was particularly fascinating to him.

He stared at her intently, watching her frown, her hands pressing his shoulders, and her proximity to him.

He said in a hoarse voice, "Harper, are you jealous?"

"I'm not." Harper denied without hesitation.

"Then why did you react so much just now?"

The reaction just now?

To Lauren?

She said, "I'm just stating the facts. After all, we are still husband and wife now, and I signed your operation consent."

Benjamin said lightly, "Since we are husband and wife, I should exercise my rights. Feed me soup."

He didn't feel embarrassed at all.

Although his tone was not that of a command, it could not be refused.

Harper looked at his handsome face. He had some abrasions on his cheeks. He had difficulty moving, causing her to worry about him.

In the end, she had no choice but to pick up the soup on the side and feed it to him one spoonful at a time.

During this process, no one said a word.

After eating, Benjamin took the initiative to speak, "Harper, the car accident was just an accident. It was raining too heavily, I couldn't see the road clearly, and the car speed was too fast, so it happened." Harper paused slightly.

What did he mean?

Did he hope that she wouldn't blame Lauren?

He really loved her.

Harper frowned.

She didn't say anything.

Benjamin said, "Don't be angry, okay?"

His voice lowered and his attitude softened.

Harper looked into his eyes and asked silently in her heart, "Do you love her that much?"

He loved her so much that he was already lying on the hospital bed but still pleaded for her.

She felt that Benjamin said so much because he feared she would tell Paul.

She didn't respond but said, "Benjamin, you and Paul mentioned that our divorce could negatively impact the reputation and interests of the Martin family. I've given it some thought and realized that since our marriage has been kept a secret, our divorce should also be kept a secret. Just like your current situation, as long as you don't want Paul to know, he won't find out. So wouldn't it be the same if we get divorced?"

Benjamin's face was cold.

He asked coldly, "What's the same?"
