Chapter 304
Chapter 304
“What's wrong?” Avril and Flynn asked simultaneously . As far as they were concerned , Bonnie must have seen something exceptionally well for her to react that way. They looked where she pointed and saw nothing more than a dog enjoying its lunch.
Avril and Flynn were stunned.
“Do you want the dog, Bonnie? It’s just a common dog and doesn’t look cute either.” Avril could not understand why Bonnie wanted the dog.
Flynn retorted on Bonnie’s behalf, “What on earth are you thinking ?
She must like it because she wants to eat it. She doesn't care if it’s adorable."
Avril did not know how to respond, while Bonnie thought, ‘These two aren’t making sense at all. What a pair of clowns."
“Excuse me, sir. How much are you willing to sell this bowl for?"
‘The bowl?! Reall?!"
The duo blushed in embarrassment.
The store owner was shocked, too. “Are you joking, miss? It’s just a dog bowl."
“T’ll pay you a hundred grand for it.” Bonnic was determined to purchase the bowl.
The store owner's eyes glinted with a hint of cunning when he realized her sincerity. “Miss, although you look young, you have sharp eyes. ’m impressed."
The man dumped the dog food onto the ground and handed the bowl to Bonnie. He said, “It might look worn out, but this is made in the kiln of Emperor Gearoid Walshington’s palace. He also owned the Primordial Kiln. Are you familiar with the five great kilns in ancient Arvandor?
“There’s the Primordial Kiln, Sovereign Kiln, Luminescent Kiln, Kinship Kiln, Cosmic Kiln. Among them, the Primordial Kiln is the most prominent. They say one would much rather own a piece of the Primordial Kiln than a sea of wealth. That should tell you just how invaluable this bowl is.
“Even a hundred grand won’t reflect its worth. Here’s the deal. I'll sell it to you for half a million dollars. You're so pretty T’m willing to part with it at half its original value."
Avril was flabbergasted, exclaiming, “What the hell?! Has greed clouded your mind? What was that bullshit about a Primordial Kiln? Why would you use it as a dog bow if it's so invaluable ? What are you thinking ?"
Flynn agreed. “What a load of crap. There’s no way you'd find anything made in the Primordial Kiln on the market now. You can’t even get anything made in the ancient common kilns nowadays. Do you think we’re gullible?"
“Hey, watch your mouth. I'm using it as a dog bowl because it'd be ill - advised to let people know | own such a prized possession. It’s a perfect example of hiding it in plain sight.” The store owner was furious.
Flynn and Avril stared him down. A while later, Bonnie said, “What are the odds? I plan to use it as a dog bowl, too. I'l] offer you ten grand. I'll leave if you haggle over the price." NôvelDrama.Org © 2024.
“Say what?! You offered me a hundred grand ecarlicr, miss. Why’d you lower it to ten grand?” The store owner grew worried.
Bonnie refused to waste time on him. She looked at the duo and said, “ Come on, let’s check out the other stores."
“That's an excellent idea. Let's go to Sacryment. It’s bigger and has better goods than this dump. We might even find an invaluable antique ware there.” Avril held Bonnie’s arm and left.
The store owner realized they were about to leave for real and hastily called out to them, “Hey, wait! Fine. Ten grand, it is. You guys have gotten a sweet deal. It’s a legacy from ancient Arvandor, after all."
Avril rolled her eyes, saying, “Ugh, forget about it, Bonnie. I know you're rich, but you should consider how you spend your money."
