Chapter 88: I Wish You A Successful Return
After hearing Bonnie's words, Yanis said, "I want to get it over with. I don't want to be like this any
longer."
Bonnie looked at Yanis. "Shall I go with you?"
Yanis shook her head, "No, you just rest. I'll go by myself."
Bonnie tried to say something, but Yanis said first. "Bonnie, I want to put a stop to this, and say
goodbye to those old days."
Bonnie was silent for a few seconds. "Well. I'll be at home waiting for your successful return!"
Yanis nodded, "OK."
Yanis called Albi before she left.
When the call went through, it was answered quickly.
Albi's said on the phone, "Madam?"
Yanis got right to the point, "Where's Zane?"
"Mr. Lawrence is busy."
When Yanis heard this, she knew that Zane was back, too. "At work?"
Albi glanced at the grim-faced man sitting on the living room couch and replied, "Yes, an emergency
meeting."
Yanis said, "I see."
Yanis hung up the phone.
Albi looked blankly at the phone and then looked up at Zane.
Zane looked up and said, "What did she say?"
"She just asked if you was in the office and where you were."
Zane raised his hand and pinched his brow. "Tell the receptionist do not let her come up."
Albi replied, "OK."
Albi called the receptionist immediately to say that no one would be allowed to see Zane today.
After hanging up the phone, Albi looked at Zane. "Mr. Lawrence, how about I get a doctor to take care
of your wound?"
Zane waved his hand. "No need."
Albi looked at Zane's wound, tried to say something but stopped right away.
In the end, she didn't dare to say any more.
Yanis, on the other hand, left Bonnie's studio and went straight to the Lawrence Group.
Yanis rarely comes by, and when she does, she will go through the back door with Albi.
So Yanis parked her car and, took the back door as she would always do.
The guard at the back door was an old man in his forties.
He was very friendly. Every time he sees Yanis, he smiles and says hello to her.
"Albi hasn't come to work yet."
When Albi brought Yanis here earlier, he gave Yanis the identity of Albi's distant cousin.
Yanis smiled. "It's OK. I'll wait for him in his office."
The uncle answered, "OK, you should go in."
Yanis grunted and stepped into the door.
She went straight to Albi's office.
She met no one along the way, so Yanis easily entered Albi's office.
Yanis thought Albi would come back when Zane's meeting was over.
When Albi was back, Zane would definitely be back in the office.
Yanis closed the door and sat down on the sofa.
She waited for half an hour.
Yanis looked at the time and slightly moved her eyebrows. She got up and moved around the office.
Just as she reached Albi's desk, a document caught Yanis' eye.
Yanis stopped, looking at the paper, reached for it.
The bold black letters at the top caught her eye.
Yanis hesitated.
When Neve gave her the divorce papers, she just signed them without a close look.
Looking at the divorce papers now, Yanis saw it all.
Yanis frowned when she saw the rules.
She didn't want anything from Zane.
She didn't expect Zane to be so generous.
A house, a car, and $50 million in checks.
Yanis looked for a few seconds, then turned around, walked over to Albi's desk, sat down, and turned
on the computer.
She was going to change that rule on this paper separately, but when she opened it, she found that the
document on Albi's computer alone on the desktop was the divorce agreement.
When she clicked on it, Yanis deleted that rule and simply reprinted it.
When she typed it and put it inside those papers, she found a blank space at the end.
Either her name or Zane's name, it was gone.
Yanis looked at the empty signing space in trance.
When she collected her thoughts, Yanis took a black pen and signed her name.
She signed her name on the paper in duplicate. Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
Yanis then put those papers in order, got up and walked out of Albi's office and went straight to Zane's
office.
She knocked on the door and waited a few seconds, there was no response. Yanis wrenched the
doorknob, opened the door and walked in.
When she was inside, she found that there was no one. The stuff on the table were neatly put aside.
There was no sign that anyone had been there.
Yanis didn't go any further inside, hesitated and turned away.
While walking, she dialed Albi's phone.
This time, the phone rang for a long time before being answered.
It wasn't Albi's voice, but Zane's. "Calling for Albi?"
Yanis paused when she heard Zane's voice. Then she kept walking. "You're not at work, where are
you?"
Zane raised another question, "Who do you want? Albi or me."
"You."
Zane said, "Then why don't you call me. What do you want from Albi?"
Before Yanis could say anything, Zane's voice called again, "Call me if you want me."
The phone hung up immediately.
Yanis took a deep breath, put away her phone and didn't call back.
Once in the car, Yanis started the car and called Zane's cell phone.
The phone went through, but no one answered.
Yanis patiently called the second time.
Then it was the third time that the call was put through.
But instead of Zane, Albi answered the phone.
Yanis' patience was worn out. Her voice is cold and distant. "Albi, where are you now?"
"Well..."
"At the Lawrence's Manson or at D-king Castle?"
Yanis interrupted Albi and asked.
Albi unconsciously looked at Zane.
Since she was on speaker, Zane heard Yanis' voice.
"Come to D-king Castle."
When Yanis heard his words, she hung up the phone.
She drove the car away from the Lawrence Group and headed for D-king Castle.
It took Yanis twenty minutes to go from the Lawrence Group to D-king Castle.
After parking the car, Yanis got out, took the agreement and thoughtfully the pen.
Instead of going straight in, Yanis stood at the door and rang the doorbell.
Albi was the one who opened the door. He paused a bit when he saw Yanis standing at the door.
Then he bowed to Yanis, "Madam."
Yanis responded with a nod.
Walking past Albi, Yanis entered the door and headed straight to Zane.
Yanis stepped forward and handed the agreement and pen to Zane. "After signing it, we can go
through the formalities."
She got straight to the point clean.
