How I Remarry My Ex-Wife by Alvin Humphre

Chapter 5

“You shouldn’t have married Thiago in the first place!” After catching up with Whitney, Jonah muttered in dissatisfaction, “Your dad always felt like he owed you big time since you weren’t raised by the Greene family. When you popped up wanting to tie the knot with Thiago, he didn’t even blink. He buried his own feelings to make it happen, even begged Mrs. Mackenzie. Truth is, he didn’t want you with Thiago at all! Come on, you’re a Greene. You could’ve had anyone.”

He took a breather, then went on. “I don’t get why you fell for him, hiding that you’re the heiress and all that. We couldn’t even go to your wedding…” He drifted off, thinking about the engagement ring he never got to show her.

Jonah seemed to have complained enough, changing the topic and smiling. “But it’s all okay, now. You’ve finally moved on! Soon, you’ll get yourself a boyfriend, someone like…”

He stopped talking when he realized they’d walked into the hospital wing without him even noticing.

“Why are we here?” he asked, glancing around with confusion

No answer came from Whitney.

Whitney’s intuition told her that Quincey was hospitalized there, and Thiago would naturally be with her.

She walked passed ward after ward and finally saw that familiar figure in the last one.

Through the glass window at the entrance, she could see Thiago sitting beside Quincey, holding a bowl of soup

He first scooped a spoonful of soup before gingerly feeding it to Quincey. “Be careful. It’s hot,”

His gaze and tone of voice oozed gentleness Whitney had never experienced before.

“What a wonderful husband I’ve got!‘ she sneered secretly.

The next second, Whitney was about to step inside, but she was stopped by a man who had been standing at the door. Content rights belong to NôvelDrama.Org.

“Sorry, Ms. Collins, you may not enter, said that man expressionlessly.

‘A bodyguard? Thiago’s scared I’ll go after Quincey, huh?” Whitney snickered in her head.

“Get out of my way!” Whitney shoved the bodyguard by the shoulder. The latter was not expecting her sudden movement, thus staggering some steps backward.

Watching Whitney enter the ward, he persisted in going after her. “Ms. Collins, please leave! Or else-

Before the bodyguard could finish speaking. Whitney took out a document from her bag and threw it on the bed before Thiago. ‘Our divorce papers. Sign them.”

‘Divorce papers? Seriously? Thiago mused as he scowled at Whitney. Thiago was fuming, the thought of being dumped not sitting well with him. “You know what you’re doing? You’re gonna regret it,” he hissed.

‘t worry. I’ll never regret this.” Whitney looked calm as if she were dealing with some stranger. Ultimately, she added faintly, “See you at the courthouse tomorrow morning at eight.”

With that, she wheeled around and left.

Jonah, who was at the door the whole time, grinned from ear to ear and could not help giving her a thumbsup. “Totally what I’d expect from a Greene! You’re so cool!”
