How I Remarry My Ex-Wife by Alvin Humphre

Chapter 30

Chapter 30

Lina turned to her subordinate and ordered them to untie the man, who nodded in agreement. “I understand. Just don’t kill us, and we’ll do anything,” he pleaded.

He took the flash drive from Lina and turned to look at Whitney. He apologized. “Ms. Collins, I’m sorry. We only did it for the money”

“Whether I forgive you or not depends on your actions. If you prove yourself, we might consider letting you go,” Whitney replied sternly.

With a glimmer of hope, the man readily agreed to cooperate. Lina then escorted him to Room No. 7, where he would await the arrival of the

mastermind.

After the man left, Lina led Whitney and Jonah to Room No. 8, adjacent to Room No. 7 but entirely concealed

ed from view.

Curious, Whitney inquired about the purpose of the room. With a smirk, Lina went to the right corner of the room and pressed a switch, revealing a hidden compartment.

Lina turned to Whitney and explained, “Room No. 7 and Room No. 8 were specially designed for security purposes. I never expected we would need it now. We can observe Room No. 7 from here and enter the room. Once that person is inside, I’ll have the door locked.”

“That’s a good idea,” Whitney remarked excitedly, eager to uncover the identity of her adversary.

As the time approached, everyone prepared themselves. Soon, a woman entered Room No. 7 and approached the man. The dim lighting obscured her identity, but when she spoke, everyone was surprised.

“So, you’ve dealt with Whitney, that wretched woman?” the woman asked, smirking. “Excellent job,” she continued.

The man nodded and said, “Yes, as you wanted. She’s in my custody now.”

After handing over the prepared flash drive, he asked, “Now, where’s my payment?”

“I’ll transfer the money to your account now. But don’t release her yet. Torture her and make her suffer,” the woman instructed with a malicious grin, sending shivers down everyone’s spine.

Lina shook her head in disbelief. She said, “I never imagined she would stoop so low. Whitney, does she hate you that much?”

Whitney shook her head and continued to record their conversation. She knew her adversary harbored a deep hatred for her, but she hadn’t realized the extent of it.

The man then questioned the woman, “Isn’t this treatment of Whitney a bit too harsh?”

“Are you getting soft on her because she’s pretty? You men are all the same,” the woman snapped angrily. While the man remained silent, the woman grew even more furious. She continued, “You better make her suffer, or you won’t get your money.”

Attempting to leave, the woman found the door inexplicably locked. She turned around and said to the man, “Why won’t the door open? What are you up to?”

“I don’t know,” the man stammered, denying any involvement.

At that moment, Whitney, Lina, and Jonah emerged behind the door, and as the lights flickered on, the unmistakable sound revealed Megan’s presence. Megan turned angrily toward the man after she realized Whitney was unscathed.

Jonah nodded and helped Whitney transport the three men to Vos Bar. Lina made them enter from the back door to avoid drawing attention.

Lina greeted them fiercely inside the bar, delivering a swift kick to the three men. “Dare to touch my people? Fed up with living?” she

demanded.

As the three men shouted in pain, Lina singled one out. She ordered, “You! Go meet your employer later and pass her the flash drive.”

The man looked away, and Megan realized she had fallen into Whitney’s trap. Then, she pointed at Whitney and shouted, “Whitney, you wretched woman! How dare you plot against mel Don’t think I’m afraid of you. I’ll have Thiago deal with you if you don’t release me now.”

Without hesitation, Whitney delivered a resounding slap to Megan’s face. She scoffed, “For engaging in such despicable acts, do you think! fear your brother? You’re incredibly naive.”

Tears streamed down Megan’s face as she whimpered, “You dare hit me? Thiago won’t let you get away with this.”

“Oh really? The question is whether you’ll be able to leave this room,” Whitney taunted, advancing toward her, wearing a cold smirk. Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.

Megan, trembling with fear, attempted to retreat, but Whitney seized her and dragged her forward. “Do you want to experience the same ordeal? Are three men not enough for you? I can find more,” Whitney offered.

Megan shook her head and kneeled to beg for mercy. She cried, Whitney, I was wrong. Please, spare me.”

Gripping her hair and forcefully directing her gaze, Whitney sneered, “Drop your act. We have nothing to do with each other anymore.”

Despite Megan’s incessant tears, Whitney remained indifferent. Having shed countless tears herself, Whitney had learned not to cry in front of others, knowing that sympathy was a luxury she couldn’t afford.

Jonah took out a bag of pills from his pocket and handed it to Whitney, who placed it in front of Megan. Whitney said, “Do you know what this is? It’s your gift to me. Now, it’s time for me to return the favor. Oh, and let’s make an outstanding video. I’m sure it’ll be quite popular.”

Upon hearing this, Megan trembled uncontrollably, struggling to cover her mouth. If she ingested that medicine, it would spell trouble.

“Do you think that will help?” Whitney asked. She turned to face the others behind her, and Lina’s subordinates immediately seized Megan, restraining hertightly.

Whitney crossed her arms and remarked, “Your face is too pitiful now. But what does it have to do with me?”

She walked forward and gripped Megan’s mouth, causing her to cry out in pain. Megan cursed, “Whitney, you vile woman! I won’t spare you even after I die! You’ll meet a gruesome end.”

“I don’t know about that, but I’ll make your life a living hell now,” Whitney retorted coldly.

Following suit, Lina delivered a resounding slap to Megan’s face, scolding her, “Who do you think you are? If not for Thiago, you wouldn’t be allowed near this place. Remember how kind Whitney was to you? Yet, you betrayed her for Quincey. But I should thank you. It helped Whitney see the true nature of your scumbag brother.”

“Why waste time talking to her? Give her the pills and record the video,” Jonah interjected, his irritation evident at the mention of Thiago’s

name

Whitney and Lina worked together to force Megan’s mouth open. Just as they were about to administer the pill, the door was suddenly kicked several times, then forcefully flung open with a loud bang.

All eyes turned toward the door. Thiago stormed in with determination. Without hesitation, he swiftly dashed in Megan’s direction.

Upon seeing Thiago’s arrival, Megan struggled even harder, crying, “Thiago, save mel They’re trying to harm me.”

Thiago quickly dealt with the security guards and men and pulled Megan behind him. He demanded, “Whitney, what are you up to? Even if you have a vendetta against me, do not involve my family. If you hate me, come after me, not them.”
