Part 4
”Zoe? Honey, honey.” the voice of Lilian echoed loudly in Zoe’s ear. Zoe wondered why she was in her sleep. ”It’s 7.00 AM and you don’t want to keep Luke waiting.” Lilian explained further.
”You mean it’s 7.00 am already?” Zoe asked Lilian still with sleepy eyes. “Oh shit, f…k the alarm.” This was frustrating on the first resumption, Zoe immediately changed to a towel as she kept stepping on the scattered cloth everywhere.
Immediately she took her shower, she instantly fixed on her uniform, the school in the pack goes with uniforms. She took the textbooks from her drawer before shutting the room door.
She was hit with the delicious scent of strawberry pie the minute she got downstairs. ”Oh, mum, I can’t wait to taste your pie?” she said, pecking her dad on the face.
Her dad glanced at her like she had bumped her head somewhere. ”What?” Zoe raised her hands in defense. She understood why her dad stared at her that way but she hopes he doesn’t make it a big deal.
She noticed Luke as he strolled down the stairs. He looked too good for someone going to school! Zoe hoped he didn’t notice the way she gawked at him.
”Morning Mr. David? Morning Ma’a.” Luke’s masculine voice came. I mean I never knew he could talk, so he actually just shawned her because he felt like. Zoe knew he was a bad person after all but she was going to forgive him this once.
“So, you must have met my pretty angel?” her dad asked Luke.Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
Luke glanced at her for a second before replying. His stares for that few seconds felt suffocating.
”Yes, she is pretty and lovely.” He let out and Zoe could feel her cheeks burn red. Maybe he just said it not to make her feel uneasy, awkward, or nervous. Zoe knew that she doesn’t get a compliment that much, most especially from a boy this hot.
Lillian brought the baked pie as the flavor-filled room. ”Does this look good Luke?” Lilian asked.
”Yes, totally!” he said.
”Zoe, I leave Luke to you today, He is starting school today and I hope you would be good to show him around?” she said, staring at Zoe who gave her a nod and smile.
”Sure Mum! I would gladly tour him around school.” She said,
”Okay, dad, mum I’m going to be late for my first day and Dora would probably kill me.” Zoe said, pecking them on the cheeks.
She strolled outside the house to the garage to take her bicycle. She turned around only to notice the huge figure behind her. ”What do you think you are doing?” She asked Luke, skimming the side of her heart.
”I mean you scared the hell out of me?” she let out but he wasn’t going to talk to say anything was something which Zoe totally couldn’t understand.
”I mean, you heard what my mum said, I am your responsibility.” Luke finally said. ”I thought you couldn’t talk?” Zoe said in a faint voice hoping he didn’t hear what she had just said.
”You heard me talk a few minutes ago, didn’t you?” He said with no remorse which made Zoe feel so stupid as she bit the bottom of her lips.
”So, why are you actually in my front? I mean both of us can’t fit on my tiny bicycle,” she muttered sarcastically.
”We could use my car?” he said, staring at her to hear the next word she had to say.
”I would only go with your car today because you don’t know your way to school but I’m not coming back in your car.” Zoe said firmly.
”Sure, your choice!” Luke mumbled. Soon, Zoe was sitting inside Luke’s car going to school with her bicycle inside his Booth. Zoe stared closely at the building as they faded away through the window.
Zoe knew that he glanced at her once in a while before glancing back at the road.
”Do you want some music?” He asked. ”No, I am totally fine.” she muttered that he just nodded hi
s head and continued driving without even glancing at her direction again.
They finally reached the school premises after a lot of description, He parked his car at the parking lot.
Zoe notices Dora, her best friend. She immediately tries to hide so she doesn’t start asking weird questions about Luke. ”Zoe, can we__?” Luke asked, it was too late because Dora had glimpsed her already and had walked up to them.
” Shit, damn it.” Zoe cursed in her mind.
”Hey Zoe?” Dora said, lunging on her which caused Zoe to almost lose balance. She turned to notice Luke and that instantly made Zoe feel embarrassed.
”Could you excuse us for a few seconds?” Dora said, staring at Luke before dragging Zoe away.
”Wow, girl?” Dora said.
”What are you wowed about?” She asked. ”I mean Zoe Zander, are we best of friends?” Dora asked again. ”Sure, of course!” Zoe replied.
”Then why didn’t you just tell me you had a fine a*s cousin like this?” She asked, staring at Luke. She noticed the way Luke used his hand to claw his curly hair.
He seemed tired of standing.
”Dora, can we have this discussion later? please.” Zoe begged, staring at her with pleading eyes. ”Where are you headed from here?” Dora asked. ”Uhmm the receptionist province I guess, I just want to direct him over there.” Zoe told Dora.
”Okay, I should probably head to class.” Dora said. ”Sure, I would meet you there very soon,” Zoe said as she gave Dora a side hug before jogging towards Luke.
”We should probably hurry before classes start soon,” she said. They finally reached the receptionist’s office as she noticed her neighbor’s son.
”Luke, can you just do the rest and I will see you at home?” Zoe asked but he didn’t even bother to look her way as he strolled into the office. Zoe hoped that her neighbor’s son wasn’t planning on attending school here.
She felt much tension as she entered her class. Her chair was located in the middle of the class while Dora sat in her front.
She swiveled to stare at Zoe the instant she sat down. “Can I now hear about this hot cousin of yours?” Some people in class turned to stare at Dora like she had gone nuts.
They sure could never believe that Zoe had a fine cousin or brother, I mean the nerd with braces and glasses.
Lisa walked up to her desk before she spilled some juice on her clothes, Zoe was going to stand up for herself but the principal Mrs. Richard showed up.
”Class silent. We have three new students today.” The noisy class went silent as a graveyard the minute she began to speak, I mean no student wanted to go against Mrs. Richard. She was the witch which was feared in the whole pack.
”Before my student enters the class, I would love to share some words with you. It’s your final grade. you all want your prom to go smoothly and go to college without any bad record, you do have to obey every rule in schoo,l and Lisa I want a no-bullying record from you?” the principal said, making everybody chuckle.
”Okay, you can all come in.” she said as they all stepped into the class. Zoe could notice these three guys that surrounded her. Rico, Luke, and the jerk who was her neighbor’s son.
You could notice the commotion among the girls in the class while Zoe lowered her gaze to avoid meeting the sight of any of them. She hoped Rico would take the empty seat behind her.
They all came forward one after the other as they introduced themselves to the class. That was when it dawned on Zoe that her badass neighbor was called Alexander Gilbert.
“You can all have your seat.” The principal Mrs. Richard ordered.
Zoe turned her back to notice all three of them in the empty seat behind her.
oh, men, she might throw up.
