Her Return, His Regret

Chapter 67~ You can walk?

The familiar voice sent a chill down Lora's spine.

"Ivy?" She asked, squinting her eyes to see properly.

The woman crouched down to meet Lora's stunned gaze, her sharp facial features becoming clear.

She had a wicked smile on her lips and her eyes glinted with murderous intent.

"The one and only," Ivy remarked, smirking wickedly.

Lora's eyes widened into saucers. She asked, "You can walk?"

Ivy laughed out loud. She shook her head and stood up straight before walking somewhere to turn on the lights. Looking at Lora's wide eyes, she said, "Of course I can walk. What did you think? That I'm disabled? Is that why you thought you could steal Ryan from me?" "I never stole anyone from you-"

"Oh, but you did! Everything was going well until you showed up! I hate you as Lora and I hated you as Larisa!" Ivy yelled hysterically. "Do you know what I did to make Ryan notice me? Who do you think you are to drop from nowhere and steal his heart so easily?" Lora frowned, not understanding Ivy at all. Ryan had always loved Ivy. That was a fact that Lora knew even before she got married to him after their one-night stand.

So, why was she here accusing her of stealing his heart when she's the one who Ryan has always loved? He even chose to save her six years ago...

"Look, Ivy, I don't know why you're acting like this, but Ryan and I are over. He's never going to find out I'm Larisa and you two will get married soon. There's no need for this," Lora uttered, hoping Ivy would get it in her head.

However, Ivy glared at Lora with hatred. She scoffed and said, "He couldn't go through with the engagement because he found out that you're missing! It's your fault that my day was ruined and for that, I'll make sure you die and stay dead."

She sneered and added, "How dare you fake your death and give birth to Ryan's children? This time I'll make sure you disappear forever!"

Lora looked around, trying to find an object that she could use to defend herself. However, there was nothing nearby. Instead of fighting with Ivy, she decided to try to reason with her. After all, she couldn't die here... she had children to take care of and her parents would be heartbroken.

"Look, I know you feel you need to get rid of me but have you thought about the consequences? You won't get away with this," Lora remarked. "Do you want to spend the rest of your life in jail?"

Ivy laughed out loud. She got closer and remarked, "I've already gotten away with it. No one will find you here... so, you will die with the secret that I killed you and Ryan will never know that I can walk. You won't get a chance to say goodbye to your little bastards but don't worry, I'll make sure I give them the life they deserve."

At the mention of her children, Lora became flustered. She yelled, "Don't you dare go near my children, you snake!"

"Oh, how will you stop me? I'll be the good girl who will tell Ryan the truth. I'll then offer to help him raise his little kids that you left behind... he will thank me for being kind-hearted and then, I'll make sure the bastards go through hell," Ivy said and laughed like a villain from a Disney movie.

Flames of fury danced through Lora's eyes as she glared at Ivy. She hissed, "I won't let you hurt my children. I'll crawl out of here if I have to."

"Hahaha!" Ivy laughed like a maniac. "All the best."

She suddenly grabbed a container of petrol and began to soak the walls of the building with it. "I'll make sure your death is painfully slow. By the time Ryan finds this place, if he will, you would have been burnt to ashes, again." Lora's eyes widened when Ivy lit a match, her lips turning into an evil grin.

""No! Don't-"

Ivy dropped the match and a fire instantly erupted, engulfing the walls with flames.

"Ryan Kingsley? What are you doing here?" Jack Davis asked the man who had showed up at his doorstep.

a trembling voice, he said, "Lora is

Jack shared a worried look with his wife. Lora was missing? How come?

He quickly replied, "We can find her. There's a brooch she always attaches to her clothes. We can use that to find her."

"Really?" Ryan let out a sigh of relief.

At first, he had found Lora's security team and asked them to keep her disappearance a secret until they found Lora, however, he couldn't keep quiet anymore in case ber parents had a solution.

Sure enough, letting the Davis family know was a wise decision.

Jack quickly dialled Aiden's number. He said on the phone, "I know you don't want to come home but we need you. Lora is missing and you're

the only one who can find he using

your technology."

It turns out that when they found Lora six years ago, they gave her a brooch and attached a tracker to it in case she got kidnapped again. Luckily, it could come in handy in finding her. Freya cried. She glanced at her husband and said, "Jack, I can't lose my daughter again. Why do these things keep happening to her?"

Ryan swallowed a lump in his throat and guilt crept into him. He uttered, "It's my fault. I already know she's Larisa... this time, I'll save her, I promise."

Jack and Freya had no time to argue with Ryan. Although they wondered why he was searching for Lora instead of being at his engagement ceremony with the woman he loved.

"Our security team will go with you and your men to help," Jack stated, his eyebrows furrowed in worry.

It didn't take long for Aiden Davis to arrive and a few minutes later, they found where Lora was being held.

Aiden glanced at Ryan and said, "It's in an abandoned warehouse building on the outskirts of town." Ryan's stomach dropped to his feet. 'A warehouse again?'

"Let's go... my helicopter is in your yard," Ryan proclaimed and they both rushed there.

Adan and a few bodyguards were already in the helicopter awaiting instructions.

After instructing his assistant to contact the police and have some men drive to the location, Ryan gave the order to take off.

Meanwhile, Jason received a call from his men.

"Hello, Sir? We placed a tracker on Ivy Williams like you said and she drove to a warehouse in the outskirts."

Jason started his sports car and replied, "Send me the location."

In the dark night of Moonstone City, two men raced against time in order to save the woman they loved.

Ryan arrived first, his heart sinking when he saw the flames that covered the warehouse. His stomach churned, memories of the past rushing through his mind.

"NO! Lora!" He yelled in agony and before anyone could stop him, he ran into the burning warehouse without hesitation.NôvelDrama.Org © content.
