Her Glamorous Beauty

You gotta wash your face

As he opened his eyes, Emerson was shocked to see himself barely lying beside Rebecca. He stood up and wore his clothes, as if he didn’t really want them to sleep together, although the truth is that he really wanted to have a cuddle with her.

“Where are you going?” Rebecca caught him leaving.

“I need to go now, before your parents find out that I’m here,” Emerson replied.

“Have you forgotten that we’re already allowed to sleep in one room?” Rebecca sprang out of her bedroom and walked towards him.

“One room, not one bed,” he corrected. “They might think that we’re doing wonders.”

“Why? Don’t you want to do a wonder with me?” As Rebecca suggested, “So that they can no longer take you away from me.” She held his shoulders and seemed to whisper something in his ear, or maybe she just wanted to kiss his cheek.

“But I still need to go to work now,” Emerson insisted.

“Work? You don’t need to work from now on.” Rebecca cuddled him as if she wanted to carry him, although he’s heavier and taller than her.

“Uh, and be a burden to your family? If that happens, I will only cause your father stress because he is working even though he does not need to.”

“Okay, if I can’t stop you from working, I’ll also go to work with you.” Rebecca walked towards the closet and got her parka, then they got out of her room.

“If you want, but I will be scolded by your father likewise,” Emerson said while they were taking the stairs.

“Don’t be so worried; my father won’t eat you, or I’ll eat him for you.” Rebecca showed her cute teeth. “Wanna have coffee with me?” They continued to the kitchen.

“Hey! So you had a good time last night?” Claudio asked. “Take care of my sister, dude.” He patted Emerson’s shoulder as he swallowed his coffee, then he got out of the kitchen.

“What does he mean?” Emerson asked in curiosity as he tested the electric heater to see if there was still warm water. “He always tells me to take care of you, though I always do it.”

“I don’t know too, perhaps he’s just concerned, but let’s not be complacent, he might be planning something wrong. Based on what I observed, he had never become so kind before.” Rebecca sighed and suggested, “Let’s stop thinking about that pathetic, lonely man.”

She placed their mugs on the table while Emerson bit the plastic of a coffee bag. He was surprised that the mixture diffused on his face, which drew Rebecca into laughter. She walked towards him and soaked up the coffee from his face, then they had a kiss.

“I think you’re more handsome with that.” Rebecca laughed as she sat down on the chair beside the table. “You gotta wash your face, dear.”

Emerson could still manage to smile at what he did. Well, at least he thought he grabbed his morning kiss. He poured their coffee into the mugs and let Rebecca blend them. He then got near the sink and washed his face.Material © NôvelDrama.Org.

“I think you also need to take a shower,” Rebecca advised as she held her chin on the table, staring, and couldn’t stop herself laughing at him.

“Can you stop ordering me for now? Let’s have our coffee first, then let’s take a shower together,” Emerson suggested as he winked.

“Don’t you try to get me with that face,” Rebecca reprimanded. “I don’t have time for your nonsense.” She took her mug from the table.

“Me too, but I’m not always available for your enthusiasm.” He also took his mug and they made a toast, then his throat bobbed as he continuously swallowed his warm coffee.

“Take it easy, your intestine might be burnt,” Rebecca remarked.

Afterward, not to mention what they did inside the bathroom, they went to the farmstead. It was still early, but the workers were already there. Those men were killed to see Rebecca and Emerson walking together towards them while holding each other’s hands.

It seemed to be just yesterday when he arrived; how could he have caught her heart as easily as that? Their rumor proves that they couldn’t believe in magic, like how Emerson and Rebecca find each other in a world full of strangers.

“So, I need to work now,” Emerson said, then helped those farmers plant.

Meanwhile, Rebecca sat down on the stool, staring at her boyfriend, who looks so handsome in her eyes, though he can’t even buy new clothes. He always wears his faded jeans, tight jacket, old boots that reach his knees, and rubber gloves.

Rebecca couldn’t believe it but smiled as she thought how she fell in love with a guy like him who looked like a beggar to others’ eyes. Perhaps it was because of his demeanour that she knew she wasn’t that immature anymore to be attracted by a man’s physical features.

“Oh! Miss Rebecca, what are you doing here?” Damian asked.

“Nothing, I just want to help and watch Emerson,” Rebecca replied.

“You’re such a good and helpful daughter,” Damian complimented as he sat down beside her. “Your parents, I know they are pleased to have you.”

“Not really, brother. I’m sometimes stubborn, and most of the time, I only give them problems and stress,” Rebecca admitted, then pouted her lips.

Having a conversation with those workers, Rebecca lost track of time. She hadn’t noticed that the morning gradually turned into noon, afternoon, and finally, as the sun went down on the horizon, everyone decided to go home.

“Ho! I’m so tired!” Rebecca emitted a sudden breath. “Do you want to have a good time with me tonight?” She asked Emerson whom he was approaching.

“Wow!” Emerson interjected. “You’re tired of sitting here?” He bantered. “Where do you want to have a good time?”

“You know, sitting and talking made me tired, but watching you never did,” Rebecca explained as she got her parka from the stool and stepped backward. “See you on the rooftop. I’ll wait for you there. Don’t be late!”

As Rebecca turned and continued to the mansion, Emerson also went back to the dormitory. He knew that life had never become easy since he arrived here, but those difficulties disappeared every time he saw her face.

Walking along the passageway, something interrupted Emerson’s mind. It was the nightmare of his childhood when his brother Melbourne suddenly appeared at their house. He knew he didn’t mean to commit that heinous crime, but he was thinking that his brother deserved a hundred deaths to pay for all the sins he committed.
