Are you crying?
Kwan and Rebecca just smiled on Wen. They doesn’t think that they have to take her behaviour seriously, especially Kwan who’ve been used to her attitude. No matter what she would say, he knew she’d always come back.
And because they didn’t want to disturb the woman while eating, Rebecca and Kwan went out from the dining room and continued inside the living room to continue the work they have started.
“By the way, Mr. One-Eyed Monster. Are you sure about your decision to let Lando work here?” Rebecca asked in a serious and worried tone. “I’m just worried that we cannot trust him too, especially that we don’t completely know him as who he is.”
“Yup. I understand your concern, milady. But I don’t think that he can cause any trouble to us. Besides, he already apologized to me about his attitude before,” Kwan replied. ” And please stop calling me by that annoying sobriquet.”
“Alright. If that’s your decision, I will respect it. But you can’t blame me if something wrong will happen for letting him stay with us for I didn’t lack to warm you,” Rebecca said.
“Don’t worry too much, milady. I know what I’m doing, and I’m ready for all its consequences, besides he should be strong and good enough than me in order to succeed if he has bad plans,” Kwan assured.
“Alright. I know you won’t let anyone hurt me, but please protect yourself too. You should always be aware who’s standing behind you to avoid being backstabbed,” Rebecca reminded.
“Thanks for reminding me, Rebecca. By the way, why won’t you try these clothes that you bought from the mall?” Kwan asked as he handed a cloth to Rebecca. “I’m sorry for not joining you shopping, but I think everything went right.”
“If you only knew how many hours I and Wen spent without doing anything just to lost those who were following us. I thought she was planning something that time, but she was just probably recharging,” Rebecca narrated.
Rebecca sighed while taking the cloth from Kwan’s hand and unfold it. She was surprised not as she thought that she was dying that time, but because the cloth was something that she doesn’t like to wear.
“This can’t hide a lot, my love,” Rebecca said. “I don’t know why Wen put it there. She didn’t even ask me if I want to wear this.”
Kwan stood up and took the sexy dress from Rebecca. He then tried to measure if it fitted her, and found out it really suited her body. He thought that Wen wasn’t wrong with the size of cloth she bought for Rebecca.
“Why won’t you just wear this, milady? You will look hot and sexy with this delicate dress,” Kwan suggested as he smirked at what he was thinking.
“You moron!” Rebecca threw the dress to Kwan’s face. “Don’t be so horny just because we’ve had one already.”
“I thought you like it when I’m being sensual, madam? I remembered who told me that night that she belongs to me. She seduced me though I wasn’t ready, but now she doesn’t like to do it anymore,” Kwan insinuated.
Rebecca smiled as she remembered how eager she was to do that since it was a part of her plans that could solve all her problems especially about what Brein Loi did when she was abducted.
“Do you really want to do it again?” Rebecca asked as she put her arms around her man and looked directly to his eyes. She slowly moved her face towards him when someone’s footsteps broke the silence.
“What’s happening here?” Wen asked. “Did I missed something?”
“What a bothersome, single bunny girl,” Kwan responded.
Seeing her best friend and the man she loved having a sweet time with Rebecca, Wen felt like her heart was stabbed a thousand times.
Deep down, she still couldn’t accept the truth that she wasn’t given an opportunity to show her love for her best friend, not a single chance. She doesn’t know why those who really love are the ones who are always hurt.
However, unlike those women who fights for their feelings and do everything to get the man they love, Wen doesn’t want to be a hindrance to Kwan’s happiness, and no matter how hard and painful it is, she’s willing to endure them all and stay to support him whenever he’s happy.
“If you don’t want to be disturbed, then you should go somewhere else where you can’t feel my presence-perhaps a quiet forest will do. I feel like I am nobody here,” Wen said without giving them a glance.
Kwan let go of Rebecca and walked towards her. “Why are you sulky, huh?”
Wen couldn’t look directly at Kwan’s face for she knew he would show how bossy he was again. But she didn’t expected him to touch her face and raise her head to see clearly what expression she was showing.
“Are you crying?” Kwan asked in a joking tone.
“Of course not. It’s just a dust that entered my eyes.” Wen replied. “What reason do I have to cry?” She forced herself to show a fake smile though she couldn’t hide the sadness in her voice.
“Tell me, why are you sad? Is there someone who hurt you? Did someone bully you again?” Kwan asked as he let go of Wen’s face.
“I’m not a kid.” She said as she turned her sight to the floor. If she could only tell him the truth that she has feelings for him, and he was also the reason of her tears, but she didn’t want to destroy their relationship.
“Okay.” Kwan said and walked towards Rebecca. “Don’t forget that I’m always here, even when I already have my own family, I’m always here, willing to listen to your stories and grievances.”
Seeing Kwan’s smile while saying those words, Wen thinks that perhaps, he’s really happy right now. But she doesn’t know why everytime she see that smile she kept falling-falling in love with him.Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
Without saying anything, Wen walked out from the dining room. She continued to the balcony to get ventilated or to clear her mind when she saw Lando who’s having a conversation with someone in his phone again.
She walked towards him and asked, “Who are you talking with?”
Lando’s face was expressionless as he looked back at Wen. He’s been talking about someone he couldn’t tell her about. As what he said, he should finished what his master has started and that’s what he’s doing now.
“Nothing-it was just my brother, yeah, my brother,” Lando stammered as he slipped his phone inside the pocket of his pants.
“Why you look surprised?” Wen asked. “Let me see your phone.”
