Amelia POV

A week had passed since the issue of the affair incident, I make sure I ignored Dylan throughout the whole week. with his wedding on the way, I didn’t see much of him either.

I went for my pregnancy check-up two days ago and when I heard my baby heartbeat I felt really happy that I have a life inside of me. I needed advice on what to do with the baby so I decided to go to my friend’s place, my only friends Larry and Sophia.

When I got to the front of Larry’s mansion, I contemplate on whether to enter or not, they were my friends and friends always have each other back right I guessed.

I waited for the door to be opened as I press their doorbell, door opened and Larry pulled me for a hug.

“Hey there “I greeted, he lead me into the house and offered me a seat on the couch. “Where is Sophia? ”

Larry pointed upstairs. “She went to put the baby to bed, Lucas has to be hard to please lately, didn’t know it was hard to raise a baby.”

“I didn’t just you say that Larry banks,” Sophia said as she walked down the stairs.

“Uh uh, busted! “Larry whispered to me, he stood up from the couch and walked to his wife with a smile on his face. “Baby that’s not what I meant alright”.

“Whatever babe, hey there Amy “Sophia rushed to hug me. “I missed you so much babe” she confessed.

“Well, I was only gone for three weeks “. I replied to her using my hands to count the time spent apart.

“Why do you think I’m here Sophia, I needed advice… I want… “I suddenly feel nauseous, I rushed from the living room and ran to their bathroom. I threw up into the sink and rinsed my mouth when I was done…

“This is what you wanted to tell me,” Sophia said from the bathroom doorway.

I cleaned my mouth and faced the mirror, my emotions got the best of me as I burst into tears. Sophia quickly embraced me and pat my head. “It gonna be okay Amelia, it would be fine”Sophia assured.

When I was done with the tears, I sat down in their living room and explained everything to Larry and Sophia.

“What’s we’re you thinking Amelia!!! “Larry shouted after I finished my explanation.

“Larry calm down, you are scaring her, “Sophia told him, I bent my head and sobbed.

Larry walked to me, he placed my hand into his and embraced me. “I’m sorry Amy, listen I just didn’t think you’ll make such a mistake. And Dylan is the biggest fool in the world, not telling him about the pregnancy would make you even worst than him. ”

I pulled my hand away from his and stood up from the couch I was sitting on, I slowly paced around the living room with my hand on my forehead. “What’s are you saying Larry? I can’t tell him anything. He is getting married in four days, I don’t want to be a bad person”.

“And that’s where you are making a mistake, not telling him what happened seven years ago is the greatest mistake you’ll ever make,” Larry shouted angrily.

“What’s do you what me to say larry, I should tell him that his mother was the reason for our breakup, his mother was the reason why my mother got deaf or his mother was the reason I left this city years ago. You think he will believe me. Come on Larry!!! “I threw my hands in the air as I shouted.

“Guys… You’ll wake Lucas up with all your noise.”Sophia warned, she stood up and placed a hand on my shoulders trying to calm me down. “Listen up Amelia, Larry only want the best for you. He didn’t mean any harm, you can’t raise a baby alone”.

I pushed her hand away and chuckled lightly. “My mistake was coming here in the first place, I thought you were my friends but looking down on me not to take care of my baby is out of it. You know what I’m sorry for coming here to disturb your peace” I poured out my mind, picked up my belongings, and went out of the house. I could hear Sophia crying and shouting my name.

“Amelia, Amelia that’s not what we meant”she shouted, I wasn’t ready to listen. I was beyond pissed to hear anything right now. how could they look down on me? I knew I shouldn’t be acting like a bitch but I’m so pissed right now that’s I felt like bashing up someone’s face.

When I got home and my mother saw my expression she pulled me into a hug. “It’s gonna be okay baby, I’m here for you baby,” she said and laid my head on her shoulder.

“I love him mum but I can’t be with him”I confessed as I cried. If I hadn’t left seven years ago we could still be together But fate they said is unquestionable

Two days to Dylan’s wedding, I’m I happy? no, I’m not but a girl gat to do what’s she gat to do. The ringing of my phone in the early morning of Friday woke me up, who the hell was calling this early morning.

“Hello!!!! “I yelled to the phone.

“Babes calm down alright, you are trending online again!! “Diana’s voice sounded on the phone, she sounded like a little child whose biscuit was stolen.

“Is that why you call me this early morning Diana. Come on “I groaned.

“Just check and please do not shout too much when you see it”. I ended the call and checked my phone while sitting on the bed. I scrolled through my news feed and saw something shocking.

“A gold digger or an attention seeker”.

That’s what was written on the news headline and that wasn’t all, I was getting notifications from all my social handles. People were calling me different kinds of names, some called me a whore, sluts. different kinds of names. I had enough of everything. I was going to face Dylan and tell him what I have kept for so long…….
