Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right

Chapter 681

Debra gazed at the ring and nodded.

Marion patted her head. "I'll take you back to work today."

"Alright."Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.

For the past few days, the McKinney Group had been resting on Ben's capable shoulders. Debra wasn't sure how well he had managed, but she knew it must have been a challenge.

Halfway through the journey, Debra opened her phone. While she was in Flesta, she gave Chace her new number. As expected, a message from him sent the previous night popped up as soon as her phone came to life.

Edgar had pulled most of the funds out of the Odom Group, leading to a complete halt in their operations. If they couldn't restore things within three days, all partnerships would dissolve.

Moreover, rumors were spreading like wildfire, damaging the public's perception of the company and causing its stock to plummet. It also triggered a wave of broken contracts from major partners. Bankruptcy loomed ominously on the horizon. Debra's lips curled slightly. It seemed they had this under control.

To avoid arousing suspicion among the staff, Debra had Marion wait for her in the parking lot. As she stepped into the office building, all eyes turned to her. She could see the disdain and scorn in their gazes.

She frowned slightly, moving towards the employee elevator as she always had. Suddenly, a security guard rushed up to block her way.

"Sorry, non-employees aren't allowed in here."

"What? Don't you know who I am?"

"I do. You're the former GM, but you've resigned, so by the rules, you can't enter the office area."

"Who told you I resigned?"

"Ms. Frazier, you were dismissed. I think it's best if you stop hanging around here. If you keep it up, it'll only get more embarrassing for you."

A few employees passed by and rolled their eyes.

"Yeah, spoiled rich ladies should just go home and serve their husbands."

In the workplace, people often flattered the power and stomped on the weak. Debra had known this, but it stilstung to be looked down upon by her own employees.

Before she could make sense of what was happening, Ben appeared, rushing out of the elevator.

"Ms. Frazier," Ben acknowledged, her expression grim.

Debra knew something serious had happened in the company. "Give me a reasonable explanation." She had been away for just a couple of days, and the company had changed so much.

Ben wanted to speak but, noticing the people around them, he barked, "What are you all staring at? Don't you have work to do? Ms. Frazier is here on Mr. McKinney's orders Next timet catch any of you gossiping on company time, you're all fired."

The employees, wary of Ben's authority, quickly scattered.

Opening a path for Debra, Ben said, "This way, please."

As Debra approached the employee. elevators, she noticed a new

Ben immediately swiped his card and gestured for Debra to proceed. Debra didn't say a word, her face still cold as she stepped inside.

Once inside the executive elevator, Ben sighed and finally spoke up. "Madam, a lot happened while you were away."
