Even though I had a feeling that Noah was lying to me, there was little or nothing I could do to stop him.

I watched him fade into the night until I could no longer see him. I sighed and then turned around and headed back to the festival ground.

I couldn’t help but feel a little sad that he would leave me in the middle of the festival for something he is not letting me in on.

I got back to the festival ground, and I could see Mia discussing with her brothers. I stood on the spot, unable to go to them.

I wanted her brothers to leave first. I could still remember the surprised look on their faces after the dance, how they stared at me and scrutinized my whole body from head to toe like they were seeing me for the first time.

I didn’t understand what brought about that action from them, but I believed there was something wrong.

To keep myself away from them and their drama, I gave them a distance and waited until they were done discussing.

I watched as they took their leave before I motioned toward where Mia was. She was the only one I could be with on the festival ground; Noah had already left for an emergency, which I was still finding difficult to believe.

What could be the emergency that would make you leave your date at the festival and go without her? What could he be hiding? Or did I maybe do something wrong to him?

As far as I could remember, I have done nothing wrong to annoy him, I have done nothing to make him leave me all alone in the festival.

Well, I had said I would try to believe the excuse he gave me, that there was an emergency he had to attend to, and I would let him be. I just hoped that everything was fine and that he sorts out whatever he needed to attend to.

I jerked myself back from my long thought, and when I looked up to see where Mia was, I noticed she was no longer there. I had been too lost in thought to keep track of her movement, and now she was nowhere to be found.

I sighed, this festival wasn’t ending the way I thought it would. It was interesting and fun at the start, but now, it was one trouble after the other.

Where could she be?

I began to look around, and finally, I saw her from afar, talking to some of the girls from our college. I wanted us to leave for our room.

“Mia!” I called and rushed to her, “I’ve been looking for you.”

“Same here, Jasmine, but someone said you left with Noah, didn’t you?” She asked and looked around like she was looking for something, “If you are here, then where is he? I thought you left with him?”

I shook my head, “No, Mia, he had to leave for something important, so I’m here, and alone,” I smiled awkwardly.

Who could have told her that I left with Noah?

Noah and I crossed paths at the garage after I had been looking for him, and we only talked there.

I wasn’t bothered about who told her; I was just surprised by how fast the news spread.

“Oh! Let’s have some fun then,” Mia smiled and turned back to the girls from the college as she continued her conversation with them.

I shook my head. There was no fun without Noah by my side. Noah leaving had already marked the end of the festival and the day for me. All I wanted to do was go back to my room and sleep.

I was done with the festival, and whatever fun that comes with it after the one I had. I wanted to rest, nothing more.

I moved closer to Mia and held her hand, “We should leave now, Mia, it’s getting late already,” I murmured, trying to convince her.

Although the festival hadn’t ended yet, people were already leaving as the fun aspect had passed, and all that was left was merry.

Mia shook her head, “I still have to discuss with them, it’s about our presentation in class,” she added and pointed to the college girls in front of her, “It’s important.”

I sighed tiredly. I knew I only had two options, one was to wait for her and the other was to go back to our apartment and call it a night.

Because I was already feeling bored, I decided to go with the latter.

I smiled faintly, “I will leave then, I will be expecting you,” I said to her before heading for our apartment.

I was all alone once again, alone with my thoughts and no one with me. Noah had already left the ground, leaving me all alone, and now Mia was busy with a group of her classmates. I have never felt so alone.

I sighed. I just had to get to the apartment, freshen up, and get these thoughts off my head. That was all I needed to do.

I finally got to the lane leading to our apartment after minutes of walking, I was a few steps from opening the door leading to my apartment when I heard quick movements behind me. I turned around to see that it was none other than my three mates.

I came to an abrupt stop when I saw the three brothers walking toward me.

What were they looking for? Why were they here? Had they been following me? I wondered as I stared at them.

I wanted to ask them what they were doing, but I decided to keep quiet. It would be best to just keep mute and avoid them. I didn’t want to be entangled with them again before they start giving me those looks I hated.

I turned to open the door and head straight to my room, but Calix caught my hand, and I knew right there that it wasn’t going to end soon.

“What do you want?” I asked, my face furrowed.

“Why are you back so early? Aren’t you supposed to be with your Mr. Romeo?” He asked with a naughty grin on his face.

I pulled his hand off, “And how is that your business?” I snapped. I didn’t understand why he was asking me such questions. It wasn’t his business.

“I just want to know, I mean you should be with him right now, and not alone in your room.”

I sighed. I wanted to get away from them and just get back to my room.

“He left,” I said rolling my eyes.

“Oops, so bad,” Ethan said as he moved closer to me, “Why would a man leave his woman on the day of the Luna festival, knowing fully well that it intensifies the heat?” he smiled and trailed his finger on my face, “that is so bad!”

“Or maybe he is jealous because you kind of picked us over him during the festival dance,” Calix said passively.

And before I could respond to him, Zane moved closer to me and slowly I felt trapped between them.

He grabbed me by my waist and gently took the strand of my hair littering my face to the back of my ear. Surprisingly, his touch sent shivers down my spine. I didn’t want to feel that.

“You do not have to worry, I am willing to give you the pleasure Noah isn’t man enough to give you,” he said, as he teased my neckline with his warm breath.

It was obvious by now that I was been affected by their presence but was doing my best to fight off the bond. I needed them to learn the act of respecting a woman before giving myself to them.

Ethan chuckled and moved away from me. He began to unbutton his shirt which slowly revealed his well-toned abs, and his brothers did the same.

Seeing them undress was so distracting, I was confused about how to handle them.

While a part of me wanted them badly, there was this other part that was been defensive.
