Chapter 54 Give You A Chance
Chapter 54 Give You A Chance
Otto and his entourage crowded together noisily. It was unsure whether they had just got off the plane
or getting ready to board. The woman standing beside him had long legs, a thin waist and was pretty
and pale. Her chest was voluminous, seemed to be at least a size 38D.
Sadie glanced sideways while she stood on the ramp, and was subsequently embraced by Julian. They
got into the car that came to fetch them as soon as they got off the plane, and departed to the mansion
by the sea.
He said that this mansion had been built for many years and was always empty, he knew that she was
feeling gloomy and so he brought her here to relax.
Hearing this, she just smiled and did not treat him seriously.
To be so caring towards a substitute that was playing along with him, who was in fact consoled, she
was no fool. City C was a city well known for tourism, and was a vacation haven that the rich in the
country preferred. The advertisements for the mansions by the sea was fully pasted in every large city,
but the people who have seen the real thing were few.
If it was not for Talia’s frequent mentions that she wanted to earn money to buy a mansion here for her
retirement, this was merely the name of a place to her, and she knew nothing else.
“What are you thinking?” Julian opened his spectacles box, took out a pair of glasses and put it on
above his nose. He seemed to be nonchalant, “I think I saw your ex-boyfriend just now.”
Sadie turned on instinct, her pupils contracted as she stared at the side of his face expressionless.
“What are you trying to say?”
“The girl beside him has a nice figure,” Julian smiled lightly as he turned suddenly to kiss her forehead
softly. “Feeling sad?”
Sadie pushed him away and turned her face away angrily, “That’s none of your business!”
Julian lowered his gaze and his eyes curled interestedly, and he sat back down.
Khalid had found out about the man that followed them before they came here, coincidentally, the man
behind it was Otto.
Yet the run-in at the airport was indeed a coincidence. This material belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.
No one spoke for a while, and the inside of a car was oddly silent.
When they reached the mansion by the sea, the sky was already completely dark, the starlight shone
above their heads.
Outside the courtyard was a clean and soft beach, the sea breeze blew with a slightly fishy smell. It
was a little chilly.
Sadie stood in the wind, thinking of last summer when Otto drove her to the beach near City B to watch
the sun rise. She recalled that she had asked Daisy how to confess to make herself appear less
childish.
When she scored during her senior year trial examinations, Otto had bought a brand new SUV
specially to reward her, just to bring her to watch the sun rise at the beach.
He said that when she was older he would bring her for a vacation by the sea, to listen to the sound of
the waves every day, and watch the sun rise.
At that moment, she really had no idea that one day, she would really come to the beach for a vacation
by the sea with him – after they have broken up.
She closed her eyes and heard in her ears that footsteps came near. Sadie turned and smiled lightly at
Julian, and she turned to walk backwards, “Is there food?”
“Of course.” Julian’s arm reached out and pulled her over without a sign, he lowered his head and
sealed her lips, turning to want more.
It was unknown how long had passed, and Sadie almost suffocated being kissed by him. Her brain was
blurry, as she panted lying on top of him, saying angrily, “Bastard!”
Julian laughed. He was satisfied. He bent down to pick her up, walking in large strides to the living
room.
He wanted to make love with her, but it was not the right time.
There were already dishes in the dining room, the maid was nowhere to be found.
He put Sadie down on the chair. Looking at the delicate dishes before her, she really felt hungry.
Having flown for more than two hours, and having ridden in the car for almost two hours, she was
indeed too hungry.
Her hand reached out and was caught by him when she had yet to touch the food in the dish. She
heard his slightly displeased voice, “Wipe your hands clean.”
Sadie lowered her head and allowed him to wipe her hands clean with a towel. She picked up the
chopsticks and began to eat wolfishly.
Julian saw this and felt pissed and humoured, and sat back picking up his chopsticks, He gracefully
picked up a prawn and put it into his bowl, putting down the chopsticks and removed the shell with his
hands.
She loved to eat prawns when she was little. If it was fresh, she could finish the whole plate of prawns.
He put the de-shelled prawn into her bowl. Seeing that she seemed startled, he could not help but
laugh, “I don’t eat prawns, I’m allergic.”
Sadie choked on her own spit and her face immediately became red.
Julian handed her a glass of water and continued to remove the prawn shells for her slowly.
When they finished eating, it was already nine at night. Sadie was so tired she kept yawning, but she
did not expect that he suddenly took off his tie and blindfolded her eyes, not allowing her to refuse.
“Mr Julian?” She was quite flustered, feeling that her hands were tied as well. She broke out in waves
of cold sweat, and it immediately moistened her back.
“Don’t move,” Julian held onto her shoulders, and took her into his arms from the back. His cleanly
shaven chin rubbed against the top of her head gently, “I’ll give you one chance, if you get it right, I’ll
grant you a promise.”
Sadie was plunged into the darkness, and her heartbeat sped up for no reason. She grasped onto his
arm helplessly, “Julian…”
“Don’t be afraid,” Julian held onto her and slowly walked into the living room. He said in a low and solid
voice, “It’s just a small game, I won’t force you to do anything you’re not willing to.”
Sadie held onto his arm, refusing to let go. Shocking veins popped on the back of her hand, as she
forced herself to be calm.
She did not know either why she was so afraid, as if once she let go, she would fall into hell.
Julian smiled as he noticed her abnormality, and he turned her over on instinct and hugged her gently,
“Are you afraid that I’m going to force you?”
“Do you not want to?” Sadie retorted, and loosened her grip, pretending to be calm. She changed to
grasp on his shirt and said unhappily, “What on earth do you want me to guess?”
“Guess why I brought you here,” Julian patted her back lightly, as his lips curled into a pleased smile.
He actually knew that she was afraid of being blindfolded.
The day he went to fetch her, she was blindfolded and kept in the basement, she was even tied up.
When he found her, she was scared out of her wits, hugging him and unwilling to let go.
But she did not cry, she just held onto him, mumbling in a soft and helpless voice at his ear, “I’m
scared.”
That night, she slept in his arms, as obedient as a doll.
It was also from that moment that he decided to protect her well, and not allow anyone at all to bully
her.
Yet he took into consideration of everything but failed to foresee that the Chambers family would take
her away when he was overseas studying.
As he was distracted, the little thing in his arms struggled, and turned her head towards the large
windows. His ears rang with her calm and controlled voice, “Julian, this game isn’t fun, please let go of
me.”
Julian smiled but did not reply, he held onto her and sat on the couch in the living room. He raised his
hand and touched her lips, tracing the edges of her lips.
Today was her birthday, yet she did not remember it.
“Silly,” she leaned away to avoid his touch. She wrinkled her nose, she could still smell the weird scent
floating in the air.
The sweet scent smelt like cakes, or some dessert made by the maid.
As she analysed further, she smelt something. It was like the perfume on him, and like the scent of
flowers.
Pursing her lips, she raised her hand. She raised her index finger, fumbled and jabbed his chest hard,
as her lips curved proudly, “If I get it right, you’ll agree to any request?”
