Chapter 315: I don’t have the courage to see her without getting drunk
Severo put the glass of water in his hand back on the table and looked sharply at Senona.
Senona’s face went white with astonishment at Severo’s sudden outburst of anger.
She swallowed hard before speaking, “Two years ago, Allyce got pregnant, otherwise I wouldn’t have thought of doing that to her, she’s my sister no matter what. We grew up together and I didn’t want to hurt her like that, but I love Enzo and I can’t stand another woman having his child …”
Allyce stammered for a moment before she could finish her sentence.
In the end, the men had not succeeded, but at least the result she wanted had been achieved.
Allyce had miscarried and disappeared, dead or alive.
For the moment she was saying these things, partly so that Severo wouldn’t get too angry with her, and partly because she was telling the truth.
I hated Allyce, but I didn’t want to torture her like that either. But Allyce is pregnant, and it’s Enzo’s baby!
Severo’s mind went blank for a moment.
He shuddered several times before finding his voice.
But by the time he came out, he realised that his voice was hoarse as hell.
In a trance, she heard her own voice: “So she was pregnant?
Senona thought Severo’s reaction was a bit strange, but nodded and said sincerely: “Yes, yes …”.
Severo asked again: “How do you know?
Senona did not dare to lie and told the whole story truthfully.
“Someone called me and told me that Allyce was pregnant, most likely … Enzo’s baby, and the person also said ….”
At this point, she looked at Severo’s face for a moment, not daring to say more.
Severo ducked his head, preventing me from reading his expression, and his voice was grim: “What else did he say?”
“And that there was no need to worry about you, that you knew the child was not yours …” Senona didn’t dare to say any more words.
Although he could not see Severo’s face, he could already clearly feel the stern aura emanating from him.
The air was like a pair of invisible hands holding her tightly, making her afraid to move.
“I don’t have much patience, you’d better get it over with.” Severo still didn’t look up to look at Senona, sitting motionless as if she were a statue.
“The man called me with a hidden number and with his voice changed so I wouldn’t know who he was. after he gave me that information, I followed Enzo and found Allyce. and you were there that day and you didn’t take Allyce. that’s why I did that …. … He said it wouldn’t matter if he got Allyce killed, you wouldn’t care about Allyce … ah!”
Senona said before Severo threw a glass of water at her and hit her head hard.
The blood came out instantly and she screamed and covered her wound, her eyes filled with fear.
Severo clasped his hands, his face grim and terrified, but his voice was light and airy: “Who said I didn’t care?”
The next moment he got up and swept the contents of the small table onto the floor, and to top it all off, he kicked the only chair on the sofa he had just sat on!
At that very moment, Xabat knocked on the door.
“Boss, Mr Pastrano is here and he says he wants to see you for dinner.
Hearing no response, and thinking he had just heard something break, he pushed the door uneasily.
Seeing the mess inside, he could not bring himself to say more than a timid, “Boss?
Severo stood his ground and paid no attention to Xabat.
Just when Xabat thought that Severo would not pay attention to him, Severo’s hoarse voice came out: “Bring her back”.
Xabat froze for a moment and replied: “Yes”.
Senona was secretly beginning to rejoice that the baby Allyce was carrying was not really Severo’s, otherwise she would not have let her escape like that!
However, he rejoiced all too soon.
Severo stood up, his face was cold as he straightened his clothes, and there was a cruelty in his voice, “That DNA report on your son is true, the child you are carrying is not Enzo’s, remember the night five months ago when Enzo took you to the hotel?”
With that, Severo set off at a brisk pace.
And the joy on Senona’s face was long gone; she too remembered that night.
Enzo, who had never liked to talk to her, had said that day that he wanted her to come to the hotel, and she had thought Enzo was going to surprise her.
Indeed, they had had a lovely evening that day.
He remembered that Enzo gave him the key to the room, told him to wait for him and then ….
“No way … he wouldn’t do something like that!” How could Enzo have given her to another man?
Leaving the box, Severo headed for the bathroom.
It went quickly.
He took cold water and splashed his face again and again.
It was spring and the cold water was still cool on her face.
The coolness ran down her skin and her limbs.
He felt a cold sensation that chilled his whole body.
…
Xabat arranged for his subordinates to send Senona back and turned to Severus.
He had been with Severo for years and had just seen that Severo’s face did not look good.
“Have you seen the boss?”
He asked all the way, and by the time he found the bathroom, Severo had left with Neto.
He had to follow back to the cockpit.
“Severo, what are you doing! That’s no way to drink this wine …”
He had barely reached the door when he heard Neto’s voice coming from inside.
Pushing the door open, he saw Severo holding a bottle of white wine and pouring it into his mouth.
He was drinking so fast and furiously that some of the wine was dribbling out of the corners of his mouth and staining his neck.
Neto tried hard to snatch the bottle from him, but it was useless; Severo’s hand seemed to be welded to it and he could not pull it away.
It took both Xabat and Neto to snatch the bottle from him.Material © NôvelDrama.Org.
Severo staggered, leaned on the table with one hand and remained silent for two seconds before he said, “Give it to me”.
Neto hurried to give the bottle to Xabat and told him to take it out.
Then he looked at Severo and said mockingly: “For you, so you can drink it to death?
“Not to drink myself to death, just to get drunk”.
Severo’s voice was still hoarse and there was a pause before he continued, his voice small as if he were talking to himself: “I don’t have the courage to see her unless I’m drunk.
Neto didn’t hear him clearly and asked with a frown, “What? To see who?”
Severo stopped talking and took another open bottle of red wine from the table and poured it for himself.
Neto was so anxious on the sidelines that he jumped to his feet and kicked Severo before snatching the bottle from him and smashing it on the ground.
