Flash Marriage Makes A Perfect Match

Chapter 270: A guy from nowhere

These were the same group of people who had tried to intimidate Allyce earlier.

They were all very bad outlaws, but they treasured their lives, but they had never seen anyone as ruthless and violent as Severo.

Some had long been trembling with fear and told the whole story.

“After she jumped out of the window … we didn’t see her when we went downstairs …”

Their speech was choppy because they had been badly beaten by the men Xabat had brought in earlier.

The anger on Severo’s face grew heavier as he heard her words, and a heavy aura of bloodlust radiated from his body.

Xabat and his men unconsciously lowered their heads, not daring to look at Severo and even breathing more softly.

Severo’s voice was still hoarse, but it carried a convincing aura: “You, did you force her to jump out of the window?

The man was quick to deny: “She jumped herself. …”Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.

Severo didn’t believe him, his fists were clenched tightly, but he made no other move.

Severo had done a TV talk show, so the man recognised Severo immediately.

She thought about what Allyce had said earlier, that Severo was her husband or something.

At the time, they just thought Allyce was being pressured to say something random, but they didn’t expect Severo to actually come.

Although they were outlaws, they still felt fear in the face of death.

Someone had already voluntarily confessed: “I have my employer’s phone number here!”

Without waiting for Severo to say anything, Xabat had already gone ahead to pick up the phone and hand it to someone to check.

Without saying a word, Severo climbed the stairs.

The door to that bedroom had been broken and the room was in disarray.

Severo’s heart squeezed with every step he took.

Until he came to the window and his eyes fell on some long strands of hair left on the window.

He reached out and lifted them up, the hair was fine and long.

It was Allyce’s.

Severo imagined the scene, imagined how desperate and helpless Allyce had been to jump straight out the window here.

Just thinking about it made his heart ache as if it were about to burst open.

He took two steps back, raised his hand and clutched his chest tightly as he muttered two words: “Allyce …”.

He carefully tucked his long locks of hair into the lined pockets of his suit jacket before turning and heading downstairs.

There was a pool of blood where Allyce had jumped and landed.

Severo glanced at him and froze in place as if struck by lightning, unable to take another step.

“If you don’t find it, you won’t have to see me again”.

Severo turned his head away from the pool of blood and his voice held a note of determination.

Whoever had saved her, even if it turned the whole city upside down, would find her.

Whoever it was, he could not snatch it out of her hands.

With that, Severo turned and walked back to where the car was parked.

Xabat watched Severo’s back as he left, and could feel the growing unease emanating from him.

Back in the car, Severo had barely started it when Saul called again.

“Sir, the Count has health problems again …”

“Apart from a concussion and a dislocated ankle, he has nothing else, he just needs to get fit and recover.”

“Are you sure that’s all? She’s very emotional.

“It depends on the mental acceptance of the individual, we …”.

The sound of intermittent conversation reached Allyce’s ears, and she opened her eyes slightly and looked towards the source of the voices.

They were Desiderio and the doctor.

Allyce listened for a moment, mostly to Desiderio asking the doctor how his health was, and the doctor then explaining earnestly.

It wasn’t until they finished talking that they realised Allyce had woken up.

Allyce slowly sat up and Desiderio approached her, holding out a pillow for her to lean on.

Allyce’s face remained pale and her eyes followed Desiderio.

Desiderio did not get angry, but simply asked in a warm voice: “Is something wrong?

“How did you come to the village and happen to save me, and why are you so worried about me?

When she was forced to take a sedative, her whole being seemed to really calm down, giving her the energy to think about something she hadn’t woken up feeling like thinking about before.

Desiderio poured her a glass of water without panic and took a seat in front of the hospital bed.

“I just accompanied a friend to see the land and we met by chance”.

Desiderio replied tersely.

“Why are you so worried about me?” Allyce persisted with the question.

Desiderio’s face became a little more serious, a flash of hesitation between his eyebrows, then he sighed and said, “Did your father ever mention your mother’s family to you?”

“No”.

A hint of doubt appeared in Allyce’s eyes; her father loved her dearly and had always spoiled her, he rarely mentioned her mother, let alone her mother’s family.

Desiderio looked up at her, his eyes deepened, as if he was sure of something, and he looked at Allyce firmly as he spoke, “I’m your uncle, if I don’t worry about you, who does?”

“What?” Allyce’s tone rose and her eyes filled with suspicion.

He had never even met his mother, so how could he have an uncle out of the blue?

Desiderio curved his lips and pulled a DNA comparison report from the drawer at the end of Allyce’s bed and handed it to her. “We have a quarter of the same blood flowing through us, there’s no way to fake this.”

Allyce read it and couldn’t think of anything to say for a moment.

“I came to Cloud Cit, apart from business, another reason was to meet my sister, your mother, she left home in a fit of anger when she argued with my father back then and never came back, I was young and then my father died and I had to take over the family business, so I had no time or opportunity to meet your mother, I didn’t expect that when I had the time and opportunity to do so …”

There was a tinge of sadness in Desiderio’s tone as he shook his head and looked at Allyce with a kindly look: “Allyce, may I call you that?

Allyce was willing to accept her uncle, even though it seemed to her that it had happened so suddenly, but the DNA report could not be falsified and she had always had a good impression of Desiderio.

So he nodded.

Desiderio saw her nod and his face softened a little more, “Allyce, don’t think about anything, just get well and Uncle will take care of everything for you”.

Thinking about what she had discussed earlier with the doctor, Allyce felt a pain in her heart and lowered her head with a sombre expression, asking quietly, “How old is she?”

Without saying a word, Desiderio replied knowingly: “Three weeks”.

“Well …” Allyce’s eyes filled with water again and with a sharp, hurried response she bit down hard on her hand to keep from screaming.

It was all his fault, he had no reason to cry, he didn’t deserve it.

But he couldn’t help himself.
