Flash Marriage Makes A Perfect Match

Chapter 245: Count Castaneda wants to see you

Allyce did not relent, “That would still be an honour for me, to be pampered by you every night.”

He said, still giving her a provocative look.

Severo took a deep breath to quell the anger in his heart.

Finally, it was Severo who stepped back first: “What did you have for dinner?

“It’s all here. Allyce reached out and pointed to the packets of sandwiches stacked on the low table.

Severo released her and returned the remote control in his hand: “Wait.

Seeing Severo disappear into the kitchen doorway, Allyce turned her face away and turned on the television, but she wasn’t in the mood to watch it again.

By the time Severo came back out, the bags of sandwiches on the low table had disappeared clean, obviously having been tidied away.

Severo’s anger, which had calmed down, was nowhere to be seen.

I really felt that I had raised a daughter who, although always disobedient, occasionally behaved so well that I wanted to give her everything I had.

It was at that moment that Allyce came down the stairs, her face expressionless.

Severo assumed she was still angry and asked no further questions.

“It’s time to eat.

“Oh.”

Allyce followed Severo into the dining room.

Severo’s cooking, which had always been light, had previously been made with a little chilli to suit his preferences.

Now that she was no longer allowed to eat chillies, it made her even lighter.

It was true that his stomach was not very well these days, so it was good to eat lightly, so as not to upset his stomach.

However, there was something else on his mind.

She hadn’t been feeling too bad lately, but why did she have so few periods? A little and no more?

But she couldn’t ask Severo, who could do something, or ask him to accompany her to the gynaecologist. She could only keep it to herself.

Severo watched Allyce eat slowly, but a lot, and his face relaxed slightly.

The two did not mention Itzal or Severo’s grandfather again all night.

The two of them lay down on the same bed.

Allyce had her back to Severo and was about to fall asleep when she felt him leaning towards her.

Long arms reached under her waist and took her hands, which were on the outside of the sheets, inside the sheets and held them with her own hands, placing them in front of her lower back.

This cuddled position put Allyce at ease and, already drowsy, she quickly fell asleep.

The next morning, Severo was still at home when she got up.

She came downstairs just as he went upstairs to call Allyce for breakfast.

Allyce sat down at the table and Severo asked: “Pizza with toast and porridge, what’s for breakfast?

“Gachas”.

Allyce used to love Severo’s pizza and toast, but now she felt like throwing up when she heard those four words.

When he said he was going to have porridge, he actually only had a little.

Severo frowned at this.

He put down his knife and fork: “I’ll come with you to the hospital after you eat”.

“I don’t want to go.” Allyce sipped her porridge slowly and deliberately, without looking up.

“Allyce!”

“You don’t need to make so much noise, you can hear me”.

Allyce still didn’t look up at him.

Severo did not continue with his breakfast.

Only then did Allyce look at him: “Aren’t you going out today?

“Yes.

Severo leaned back, his gaze rested on her, and he did not turn away.

Feeling nervous, Allyce drank the rest of the porridge from her bowl in three mouthfuls and went outside.

Severo said he wasn’t going to go out, and he didn’t really go out.

He took Beef for a walk and watered the plants in the courtyard before returning to the studio.

Allyce watched him do all this and said nothing.

Overnight, the pattern of their time together was back to what it had been.

He doesn’t say, and she doesn’t ask.

But the first person to take the initiative was neither Allyce nor Severo.

Instead, he was Severo’s grandfather.

“Hello, is this Miss Allyce?”

A stereotypical, serious, middle-aged voice rang on the other end of the line, and the caller ID was an unknown local number.

After a brief moment of reflection, Allyce replied: “Is that you?

The person on the other end replied: “I am Saúl Betances”.

This conservative way of asking and answering a question left Allyce at a loss for words.

I had already guessed what this Saul probably was.

Apparently aware of Allyce’s silence, Saul gave his name and continued: “Count Castaneda would like to see you, when is good for you, please?

Saul just gave his name and got straight to the point, obviously knowing that Allyce could guess who he was.

Count Castaneda?

Allyce’s heart skipped a beat.

He had studied abroad and had some knowledge of foreign nobility.

He was no stranger to Count Castaneda, but he had not seen him for well over ten years.

So when Allyce met Severo’s grandfather yesterday, he did not recognise him as Count Castaneda.

Allyce replied with deliberation: “Since it was Count Castaneda who asked for an appointment, I am of course always available.

Saul’s tone sounded softer, “Yes, I will pass the message to Count Castaneda, the exact time and place will be sent later by text message to Miss Delahoz’s phone.”

“OK, bye.

“Goodbye.

As Allyce hung up the phone, she noticed that a thin layer of sweat had formed on the palms of her hands.

Nervous.

I hadn’t lied to Neto before when I told him I was nervous.

Saul sent a text message to Allyce shortly afterwards.

The time was 3 p. m., for tea.

The place was a very fancy coffee shop where Allyce and Lucila had been.

Severo was still in the study and Allyce went back to the bedroom to choose her clothes.

He had chosen all his clothes.

Red is too flashy, black is too discreet, nothing too revealing …

I’ve heard that older people like to be more conservative?

Allyce was so distracted with her clothes that Severo broke through just then.

When he heard a movement in the cloakroom, he approached and saw Allyce taking off all her clothes without even changing her eyes, “Are you going out?”

“Yes.

Allyce responded absently, feeling a little vague.

Although Saul had never instructed Allyce not to tell Severo, she felt it was an unspoken agreement.

“I’ll call the driver to drop you off”.

For the first time in his life, Severo did not ask him where he was going.© 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.

Allyce just spoke and refused: “No, I’ll drive myself”.

Severo leaned against the wall, hands in the pockets of his suit trousers, looking very attractive: “You don’t have a driver’s licence.

Allyce was quick to say: “Give me back my ID card!

Severo pointed to a red coat as if he hadn’t heard: “Wear red”.
