Chapter 224 : What’s Mine is Yours and What’s Yours is Mine
Allyce’s gaze lingered on the caricatured long-haired girl on the cover of the book for a few seconds before she tilted her head to look at Severo: “Can you draw this young woman on the cover?”
Severo gave her a cold look and moved the book aside, keeping his face from Allyce.
The angry expression on his face was evident.
Allyce tried to look over, but Severo prevented her.
By the end of the day he had lost his patience and turned around and went into the bathroom.
Half an hour later, Allyce came out of the shower and saw Severo with a new book in his hand.
A magazine he had loved to read when he was in high school, it was a bi-monthly edition and he had always subscribed to it for a year at a time.
And the magazine Severo was holding was the same series as the previous one.
“Do you like reading this?”
Allyce brushed back her hair and approached him curiously.
Severo released a large hand to hold her head when she tilted her head to look at her, to stop him from looking.
Allyce glared at him.
Severo’s voice was soft: “Is the president of the upper class still in contact now?
“What?” Allyce looked confused.
What was the point of bringing up the class president?
Severo’s eyes narrowed and the corners of his mouth curved up as if he were smiling.
Allyce shuddered.
“The class president was impressive running the relay today …”
“The class president came by today to collect my class fee and smiled very kindly ….”
“…”
Allyce was puzzled by the first sentence and understood it instantly when she heard the second.
Clumsily he went to take the magazine from Severo’s hand: “Why are you going through other people’s things!
Now he was dying of shame.
When he was at school, he would sometimes leave class and sneak off to read magazines when there was nothing else to do, and then write whatever came to mind in the magazine.
So many years had passed that I had almost forgotten it.
I never thought this magazine would be seen by Severo today.
The senior class president, who had moved in his second year, didn’t even remember what he looked like, let alone that he had contacted him.
Severo raised the magazine in his hand with one hand, and with the other, he held the pounced Allyce in his arms, his eyebrows clear and cold: “What’s mine is yours, and what’s yours is mine”.
A tongue twister, isn’t it? What’s yours and what’s mine!
Allyce wiggled in his arms: “You give it to me!
Severo’s eyes deepened and he slowly lifted his thin lips: “Yes, you can have it”.
With that, he threw the magazine out of her hand.
Then he rolled over and lay on top of her, doing so with one hand carefully resting on her back.
Allyce suddenly realised what she was about to do and gasped, “You … get up!”.Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
Severo smiled a deep smile.
Allyce’s face erupted in a flash of red: “Bastard!”.
“That’s right, I’m an asshole …”
It wasn’t until the moment she fell asleep from exhaustion that it dawned on Allyce that Severo wasn’t angry because he had seen Enzo talking to her in the hallway, he was clearly jealous of the things she used to leave in the magazines!
…
Early the next morning.
Because she was so tired, Allyce felt nothing when Severo got up.
Severo just washed himself and carefully closed the door and went out.
Walking towards the staircase, he met Casimiro.
“Old Mr. Delahoz”.
Severo nodded slightly, using a respectful title and appearing modest in his every move, but he gave Casimiro the feeling of being ignored.
This made Casimiro, already uncomfortable with Severo’s “status”, even more uncomfortable, and he gave an unusual “hmm” and headed downstairs.
Severo followed him with a leisurely gesture, his slender figure combined with his handsome face drawing the attention of the maids along the way.
And the servants whispered, “Miss Delahoz’s boyfriend is so handsome!”
“It’s the husband, they are both married, but I think Señorito Aybar is more handsome …”.
Severo turned a deaf ear to these whispered comments.
But it was Casimiro who felt uneasy.
Allyce had become increasingly unruly lately and had the audacity to threaten him.
She and this Severo guy, they seem to be very close …
When Casimiro thought of this, he called Severo: “Take a walk with me outside”.
Severo said nothing, silence meant consent.
Casimiro was even more annoyed when he felt that Severo had no manners and did not even call him “grandfather”, as if he did not think about the Delahoz family.
The two of them walked a long way from the villa before Casimiro spoke slowly: “You know that Allyce has a very good track record in the company, don’t you?
“I don’t usually ask questions about work matters”. As I knew everything, there was no point in asking.
“He has a good friendship with the president of LK and he gave him a big contract”.
Casimiro spoke, slowing his pace and turning his head to look at Severo’s expression.
Severo snorted and nodded as if in agreement, saying with a straight face, “Little Allyce isn’t very talented, but she’s hardworking and willing to work hard, so maybe she’ll be better than me in a while.”
“Ahem …”
Casimir snorted and coughed in exasperation.
He acknowledged that Allyce and the LK president had other connections, and said these things to provoke Severo’s suspicion of Allyce.
To his surprise, Severo did not track him down to suspect Allyce.
Severo seemed not to see that Casimiro was at all exasperated and picked up where he left off: “What does old Mr. Delahoz think of Allyce?”
“Humph!”
Casimir snorted, his face stern, “Anyway, you and Allyce are now husband and wife and you don’t even call me grandfather, are you dissing me?”
“Of course not.” Severo’s modesty faded and his eyes deepened, “It’s just that I’m afraid you can’t afford it.”
Casimiro was furious: “What do you mean?
“What old Mr. Delahoz heard”.
Severo didn’t care about Casimiro’s anger, he and Allyce didn’t have much of a relationship anyway, and although LK and the Delahoz family were still working together, he still didn’t give a damn.
Casimiro was so angry that he pointed at Severo and could not say anything.
Severo lifted his wrist to check the time, thinking that Allyce must be waking up, and turned around to go back to the Delahoz house.
He and Casimiro returned one after the other, one with a normal face and the other very angry.
The servants saw it and no one dared to make a sound.
Severo went straight up the stairs.
Before I could reach out and push the door, it was pushed open from the inside.
Severo collided with Enzo, who left the room.
Both were startled.
A flash of shame crossed Enzo’s face.
Severo was stunned for a couple of seconds, then he came to his senses, reached out and grabbed Enzo by the lapels, pulled him up and threw him out.
