Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan)

Chapter 12

Chapter 12

Blythe had been waiting for Estelle in the office building Seeing her come out, Blythe immediately ran

over and asked, “So, what did the advisor say? How are they gonna punish you?”

Estelle, carrying a backpack with both hands on the straps, replied calmly, “Why would they punish

me? It was self-defense!”

Blythe looked at her disbelievingly, “Brooke’s leg is broken, and her dad came in all angry. You think

they’ll just let it go?”

Estelle chuckled, “Well, it’s all settled now!”

Although Blythe had doubts, she breathed a sigh of relief, followed Estelle out of school while

murnbling, “It’s all my fault. If I hadn’t been obsessed with my crush, we would’ve left earlier, and this

wouldn’t have happened.” Estelle didn’t mind, “Brooke seemed prepared, maybe she was waiting for

me out there. Leaving early or late wouldn’t make a difference!”

“Serves her right for breaking her leg!” Blythe was furious, but then her expression changed, and her

eyes lit up while looking at Estelle. “Estelle, have you practiced martial arts? Teach me how to take

down Brooke with just one move!”

Estelle pursed her lips, “It was probably just a coincidence!”

Blythe rolled her eyes, “I got excited for nothing, I thought you were from some mysterious martial arts

family!” Estelle sneered, “Watch fewer novels; they’re not good for your brain development!”

As they talked and laughed, they slowly walked out of the school gate. Just outside the gate, Blythe

tugged Estelle’s arm and gestured to the left, “Look, it’s Angel Carmella!”

Estelle looked over to see a Mercedes parked by the side of the road. The driver had stepped out and

was helping Carmella into the car.

Many people stopped and stared, girls filled with envy and boys filled with admiration. Some even

shouted “Goddess!”

Blythe sighed, “Why is Carmella so lucky? Good at academics, pretty and born into a rich family! If I

had just one of these things, I’d worship the god for treating me well!”

Estelle averted her gaze, smiling, “The last two are predetermined, but you can work hard on the first

one!” “Forget it, with my IQ, I can’t catch up even if I work hard. But you can!” Blythe turned to look at

Estelle, “Honestly, if you had a rich dad, the Campus Queen title wouldn’t belong to anyone else.

Unfortunately, you lost to Carmella in family background, so you can only be a Campus Princess.”

Estelle nodded in agreement, “You can secretly call me the Campus Queen.”

Blythe burst into laughter, dragging Estelle to buy ice cream across the street, “Stop dreaming! It’s my

treat today to help you calm down!”

“Then I want two!” Estelle took advantage.

“Fine, you’re pretty, so you get to decide!”

Carmella returned to the villa by car. Today Bennett came home early, and the family of three had

dinner together.

Sitting at the main seat of the table, Bennett said to Simone, “When you have time, call Estelle and

invite her home for dinner this weekend.”

Simone looked up, “Is something wrong?”

“Can’t we just invite Estelle for dinner without any reason? Bennett frowned slightly. “Besides, there

was a misunderstanding on your birthday. If we meet, the misunderstanding will be cleared up.”

Simone felt guilty and said, “You call her then!”

Carmella scooped a spoonful of salad for Simone, smiling softly, “Dad’s right. There’s no overnight

hatred among family members. I’ll make a cake for Estelle this weekend.”

Simone looked pleased, “Carmella is so thoughtful! Oh, by the way.”

She put down her spoon and quickly said, “Mr. Mullins called me this afternoon. He mentioned there’s

an art exhibition at the art museum in early June. He suggested you prepare a painting that might be

exhibited there.”

“Really?” Carmella’s eyes lit up, “I’ll start preparing right away!”

“Yeah,” Simone nodded.

After dinner, Carmella went to her room to think about the theme for the exhibit. Simone came in with a

bowl of Strawberry Soup. “I noticed you didn’t eat much tonight. I asked Addy to make this.”

Carmella took out her previous paintings and asked Simone to help her decide.

As the mother and daughter talked, Carmella yawned and suggested that Simone keep looking while

she went to take a shower.

Simone tidied up the desk a bit. Her finger touched the computer mouse, and the screen lit up right

away. Simone glanced at it inadvertently, and her brows furrowed.

It showed the University of J City forum, with the eye-catching title: Estelle and Brooke went at it for a

hot guy

on campus!

Simone skimmed through the post, which was about Estelle and another girl fighting over a boy at

school. The comment section was lively, filled with various opinions.

Simone frowned as she read, only taking a few glances before closing the page. Her face turned sour.

Estelle was her biological daughter, mistakenly switched at birth and didn’t return to the family until she

was seventeen. Simone wanted to make up for it, but after seeing Estelle’s attitude, how could she not

favor Carmella, who was smart and sensible?

She couldn’t help but feel relieved that they had never disclosed that Estelle was the daughter of the

Macclain family. She couldn’t face such embarrassment!

After leaving Carmella’s room, Simone’s mood remained gloomy. Returning to the bedroom, she saw

Bennett about to make a call, “Don’t call Estelle!”

Bennett was startled, “What happened?”

Simone’s face darkened, “I don’t want to see her!”

“Is something wrong? It was all fine during dinner,” Bennett frowned.

“It’s nothing; I just don’t want to see her!” Simone snapped before grabbing her sleeping clothes and

heading to the bathroom.

Bennett threw his phone on the table, sighing heavily.

Villa del Sol

Estelle came back from jogging, took a shower, and snuggled up on the sofa, stroking Max’s head with

one hand and clicking open a mobile game with the other.

As soon as she logged in, the system notified her of a friend invite.

Estelle clicked on it and couldn’t help but laugh, it was Henson.

She sent a voice message first, “Finished your homework yet?”

Henson, “Why don’t you come over and check now?”

Estelle didn’t bother with small talk, “Follow me, I’ll help you level up!”

Henson sent her an eye roll.

Estelle wasn’t really good at gaming, and Henson looked down on her for that. But he always loved to

play with her, probably because he wasn’t that great either and wanted to feel better about himself.

They played for an hour and a half, and when Estelle looked at the time, it was almost ten o’clock. She

urged Henson to go to bed.

Henson didn’t reply, but his character logged off in the game.

Estelle took out the newly bought third-grade textbook and started to read.. Since she became

Henson’s tutor, she had to do her best. She never went to primary school, nor had learned any primary

school curriculum. So now she had to catch up. Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.

On Saturday, it was still the Lamont family’s driver who picked her up to go to the Lamont family’s villa.

bed. When she went upstairs, Estelle didn’t see Jonathan. She didn’t know if he went out or was still

Norah wasn’t there either, probably out on a date.

She knocked on the door and entered Henson’s room where he was still gaming. Estelle put down her

bag and gently said, “Today, let’s review all the knowledge points you’ve learned this week.”

“Alright!” Henson sat on the sofa, agreed but didn’t budge.

Estelle waited for him, five minutes, ten minutes, fifteen minutes. Almost half an hour had passed, and

Henson still hadn’t moved an inch.
