Chapter 130
Chapter 130
Chloe’s POV
"I would have died… if not for the little child taking the poison with him," I heard Aurora say and my
body stilled, my heart and my mind freezing.
The revelation struck me with an indescribable mix of emotions. A surge of love and loss mingled within
me, their currents intertwining like an inseparable bond. I struggled to process the enormity of what she
had just disclosed.
"I'm sorry, Chloe. I couldn't save the little one. I wished to the Moon Goddess… That I should have
been the one to disappear," Aurora's voice was filled with pain.
Suddenly, it felt as if lightning struck me.
"Why..." I managed to utter, my voice filled with a cocktail of emotions. "Why would you wish it had
been you instead?" I asked Aurora.
Aurora's gaze met mine, a profound sadness flickering in her ruby-red eyes. "Chloe, my dear human,
your little one's life was sacrificed. He bore the burden to save me from death…"
"I am your wolf. I have the obligation to protect and support you. But not only did I fail to protect you all
through this years, your child even had to absorb the poison that took away his little life."
"I watched you suffer for years. You have experienced a lot of hardships. But when you lost your
child…I know that you lost a part of your life…" Aurora continued.
"That's why… I wished that it had been me instead, that I had vanished instead of him..."
Her words hung in the air, heavy with the weight of unspoken emotions. In that moment, I understood
the depth of Aurora's selflessness, her unwavering devotion to protect and guide me. And as the
realization settled within me, I found myself grappling with a mixture of gratitude, grief for my unborn
child.
"Chloe…" Aurora called my name. My wolf's voice trembled, indicating the pain and grief she was
feeling inside.
Our first meeting, the occasion that I was looking forward to in my entire life, the one that I thought
would be filled with happiness and excitement, was filled with melancholy and grief.
But despite everything, despite the unwelcome changes in our situation, I knew that there was one
thing that did not change - it was my love and affection for Aurora, the wolf given to me by the Moon
Goddess.
Thus, I hugged Aurora tighter, bringing her huge body to mine.
"Aurora," I said, holding her close to me. "You and my child are both very important to me. For me, the
two of you are more important than my life."
"Unfortunately, my child is not fated to be in this world…" I choke as I said those words.
"But knowing that you are now healed because of my child… makes me nothing but happy…"
"And I'm also sure, my child… is also happy to save you." I said as I felt Aurora's hot tears trickling
down on my chest.
"Aurora… I am really happy to finally meet you. And I am also very relieved… that I didn't lose both you
and my child.
Soon, the two of us remained silent, neither saying anything. However, through our connection, the two
of us knew each other's heart. It was only after a while when a sad smile appeared on my lips as I
asked a question that made me happy and broke my heart at the same time.
"Aurora… my child… was a boy?"
Aurora closed her eyes. Then, she softly nodded. Soon, the smile on my lips turned deeper as tears
filled my eyes as an image of a young boy with dark hair and brilliant eyes appeared on my mind. Original from NôvelDrama.Org.

The next time I opened my eyes, I found myself back in the cave with the rest of the pack. All eyes
were on me. Caleb, the one who had brought me here, sat nearest to the cave entrance, his gaze fixed
on me.
I cast my eyes downward and let out a sigh before slowly sitting up. Surprisingly, Vanessa, who was
seated closest to me, was the first to approach and lend me a hand.
"How are you doing? You look like a rag that couldn't get up from the floor," Vanessa's words lacked
kindness, but her hands supported me with care. I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at her before
surveying my surroundings.
There was an evident shift in everyone's demeanor towards me. Though subtle, it was apparent that
everyone treated me with respect and deference. Some members, like Lisa, couldn't even meet my
gaze.
Moreover, through our connection, I could sense their fear and reverence towards me.
Something flickered in my eyes. It was clear that they recognized me as their true alpha, the leader of
the pack. Astonishingly, no one seemed to oppose it, not even Vanessa, who had been designated as
the alpha.
However, despite their clear acknowledgment, not a single word was uttered. It was obvious that each
of them carried a sense of shame, fully aware of the wrongs they had committed against me in the
past.
No one dared to break the silence; they all waited for someone else to speak first. I closed my eyes
and let out a heavy sigh. How could I ever forget the atrocities committed against me? Especially Lisa,
who had poisoned and ultimately caused the death of my child.
If I were asked what I desired most, my answer would be simple: revenge. I wanted those responsible
for the pain inflicted upon Aurora and my child to suffer a hundredfold for their actions.
As this thought consumed me, a chilling aura enveloped my being, causing the others to flinch.
But then, a question echoed within me: Was it the right time for such vengeance? The Red Moon Pack
had endured a devastating attack, leaving only a handful of survivors. Our territory had been seized by
formidable enemies who sought our demise.
Even if I yearned for revenge, deep down, I knew it was not the moment. As the true alpha of the pack,
my duty was to give my all and ensure the survival of the Red Moon Pack. With determination, I
clenched my fists, lifted my chin, and met the weary gazes of my comrades. In a voice both gentle and
resolute, I addressed them:
"Our enemies are hunting us down as we speak."
"We are weak and injured. If they find us, none of us will survive," I stated, causing a collective intake
of cold air.
"Therefore, our only option is to hide."
"We must conceal ourselves in order to regroup and grow stronger. It is only through hiding that we
shall endure."
"So, follow my lead. In this moment, the Red Moon Pack... will vanish from this world."
