Chapter 16- Amara

Chapter 16- Amara

“It won’t be a problem. Freshen up and then we can have dinner. We can also watch movies after that.”

Ethan told them smiling.

I am so proud of my boys. I pulled the two in a hug and kissed all over their faces despite them

struggling. Hehe I am stronger.

“Mom. Stop it.” Ethan grumbled but he still had his arm around me.

“Mom please stop kissing me.” Ben said pouting.

I gave them each one last kiss and stepped back.

“Elliot show them the two guest rooms for now. Then one of them can move to the spare bedroom

when it is clean.”

Lucas, Archer and Hudson followed Elliot to the second floor.

“You two hurry up and come to the kitchen to help me with the dinner. We are one pair of arms short

today so it will take time and we are having a feast for the boys.” I told the twins.

“Yes mom.” And off they went to do their jobs.

“Mom I can help with cooking.” Val said bouncing on her toes.

“No way.” I said horrified at the idea.

Apparently she had inherited Steven’s talent in the kitchen. She once almost set the house on fire while

boiling the water for spaghetti. No way in the hell am I letting her enter my kitchen. This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.

“I will help mom.” Beth said smiling at me.

“Off course sweetie.”

“Why her and not me? I am older than her.” Val whined.

“You know why.” I narrowed my eyes at her.

She pouted and looked at me with puppy eyes which obviously didn’t work on me.

“That happened only once mom.” She wailed when I didn’t give up.

“I am not letting you in the kitchen.” I said firmly.

Her pout became more prominent. Beth snickered earning a glare from her sister.

“Come on Eros. We will go play in the back yard.” Val dragged a fussing Eros out of the house.

He clearly didn’t want to go. What am I going to do with this one?

“Mom you stink. Go take a bath.” Beth said wrinkling her nose.

“But I did in the morning.”

“Mom just go. We will start dinner ‘after’ you took a bath.”

“Fine.” I went to my room with slumped shoulders.

Beth acts really mature for her age sometimes. My babies are growing up too fast and I still look

nineteen. I don’t want to look like their sister. I hope the age thing kicks in soon.

Time for a bath.

I filled the tub with water of suitable temperature and removed my clothes which I didn’t notice were

covered in foliage and dirt. Might have caught them when I ran to the clearing.

Beth was right. I do stink.

I lowered myself in the tub and relaxed in it. After a couple minutes, I got out and wiped myself dry.

Don’t have the time for long baths today. I have a feast to cook for the boys.

I quickly dashed downstairs after I got ready in a jeans and a top. The twins weren’t there yet and Beth

was sitting on the dining table chair lost in her own world.

I wonder what goes on in her head.

I walked towards the living room to find a very spooked Eros and Valentina on the couch.

“What happened to you two?” I asked making them jump in the air.

“Mommyyyyy.” Eros started full on crying and jumped in my arms.

Valentina wasn’t behind either. They both clung to me like their life depended on it.

“What happened? Are you hurt? Did anyone say or did something to you?”

They just kept crying.

“Mom there is a huge wolf ghost in the backyard and he threatened us to go inside or he will grill us

alive.” Val explained after she had calmed down a little.

Eros nodded wiping his eyes.

I know who that wolf ghost is. I am so going to beat the crap out of him. I stormed outside to the back

yard and found the culprit lying peacefully in the line of the forest.

“RYDER.” I shouted.

He lifted his head from his paws, looked at me and rested his head back on his paws, huffing in the

process.

“Why the hell did you threaten my kids?” I asked glaring at him. “First off. What are you even doing

here?”

“I am guarding the house.” He said in a duh tone. “About those brats, they shouldn’t be out in the

current situation. We are sort of at a war.”

He does have a point.

“Why are you guarding my house like a creepy stalker though? Why didn’t you tell me you were coming

here?”

“I know you won’t let me come here to keep you safe.” Well yeah. He is not a guard dog. He is my

brother. I wouldn’t let him do such a thing. “So I decided by myself that I will stay here and look over

you.” He looked proud of himself. “If those brats didn’t come out, I wouldn’t have been discovered.”

“Stop calling my kids brats.”

“Sure.”

Ryder and his sassy ass.

“Well you are not sitting here like some guard dog. Come on in. It’s time the kids meet you. They keep

asking about their ‘Uncle Ryder’ anyways.” I told him sighing.

He jumped to his feet and started following me. There was a collection of screams as the massive

figure of my brother entered the house.

Well they look more scared than I anticipated.
