CHAPTER 22- SNEAKING INTO HIS ROOM
CHAPTER 22- SNEAKING INTO HIS ROOM
The girl carefully tip toed on her feet lest she disturbed someone, the house was pitch black as if it has
been abandoned for a very long time. All the maids had long drifted into slumber and it seemed that
even the guards who were patrolling out got tired and were sleeping too. Ryan's room was on the same
floor as hers and thus it didn't take too long for her to go there. The girl stood in front of the door and
didn't put lot of efforts in thinking as she carefully twisted open the door and entered in. She switched
on the light and scanned the lifeless room with her eyes, last time when she cane her whole focus was
on the owner of this room that she failed to study this room in detail.
His study was totally different than Little Bee's, the walls were plain with shades of white and metallic
grey, there were modern abstract paintings with dull color and pots of cactus and Venus fly traps were
kept arranged on the shelves. Right beside his chair was a gigantic board with several news articles
and pictures of men were pinned.
Bee once heard that one could judge the personality of the person just by observing his taste in
colors. It turned out to be true, bland Prince Charming really had a bland taste in everything.
Bee didn't think too much as she directly went to his working table and started searching. There were
several papers with several codes written on them, piles of documents, pictures of various men with
red cross in them were there. Bee couldn't bother with it and continued searching for something useful
for herself.
"Nothing... There is nothing.. ouch!" Bee squeaked as she hit the table out of frustration hurting herself
back. Her enthusiasm to draw were going downhill and she was left the study but stopped on her tracks
when she saw another room at the end of the corridor. Her spirits were lifted again as she ran to it, the
door was not locked and went ajar just by a simple twist on the knob.
Bee turned on the lights to discover that she was in a room which looked more like his bedroom. The
spacious room was majestic; even though the room had the same ponderous theme to itself yet the
dominant and royal aura it emitted was undeniable. There was a king sized bed few meters away from
the door. Bee was super excited to be in Ryan's room; she ran up to the bed and touched the sheer
white quilt arranged neatly on top of it.
"How soft... Prince Charming lives the life of a king!" She smiled to herself; no wonder he was arrogant
and possessed halo of some king. He indeed seemed to belong to a family which has been rich for
generations. She had heard that Mafia people are indeed rich but this was the first time she
encountered one. Bee forgot the purpose why he was here and wandered around a bit till her
attentions were grabbed by the paintings on the wall. She walked up to them and laughed out; they
looked as if they were made by some kid.
There were many such drawings carefully framed and decorated on the wall; there were drawings of
mountains, houses, something that looked like elephant, flowers and apple. Bee was a brilliant artist
and couldn't stop herself from criticizing them. She said to herself, "These are so childish, why would
he keep them framed?"
Te quality of the drawings improvised in some, the artist had learned to color the picture within the
borders without scraping them across the picture. She was going through them lazily when she saw a
drawing which attracted her conscious attention. This was peculiar than the rest as it featured two
human like figure- a girl and a boy.
Bee stood there studying the picture; the boy was taller than the girl and both held hands with a red
heart floating between them. There was something scribbled above the heads of each figure. NôvelDrama.Org © content.
Above the boy's head was written Ryan and above the girl's it was Cathey and below the figures were
three two words- Together For Eternity.
Bee's eyes squinted as she read the name again. Cathey? Who is this Cathey? She had never heard
this name in the time being she lived here. She was stupid but had brains enough to understand what
that drawing meant; she was sure that this 'Cathey' was not some random person but shared a special
relationship with Ryan as he had this drawing hung in his wall. The smile on her face had long
vanished when her eyes fell on the red heart between them; she dared not to think more and come to
wild conclusions. Bee lost all her will to look at drawings and decided to return but her eyes fell at the
corner of the wall.
Right at the corner there was a glass showcase which looked eye catching; she couldn't hold her
curious self from walking up to it. The girl peeped through the glass shields; the case was and was
attached to the wall firmly. There she again saw the same name she saw back then- CATHEY.
Bee opened the door of the case to take a better look; it seemed to be a memory capsule in a glass
case. There was a coffee mug which bore her name, hair clips, ribbons, little ear beads, teddy bear,
handkerchief and many other things used by girls. There was a wooden box which was taken by her;
she opened it to find the box brimming with many dried flowers. She slowly closed it and kept it back
and wandered her eyes everywhere. These all were girly stuffs and she wondered what were they
doing preserved in his room.
She was naturally short and could only peep till the third rack; there were more three racks above. It
was not high, the case was made in keeping Ryan's height in mind and he was tall enough to each it.
Little Bee was curious to know what was kept up there, when she sneaked a peak she found
something likes photo frames standing in them.
Bee looked around to see a wooden stool not too far away from her. She brought it dragging and
positioned it right in front of the case. Carefully climbing up now she was able to look at the rest of the
rack. As she guessed they indeed were photo frames.
