Don't Try to Escape, My Wife!

Chapter 1830: It’s So Unfair

Chapter 1830: It’s So Unfair

“My bother-in-law, my dear Lucas, can we please just talk? Ouch!”

Patrick was trying to hide, however, Lucas’s fists always seemed to get him as if Lucas could foresee

his move.

“Anywhere but not my face, Lucas.”

Patrick didn’t dare to speak out even though he felt terrible and bitter at heart.

And why the heck was Lucas so aggressive and battle-some?

Patrick was wondering if he would pass here?

“Help!”

As soon as Patrick shouted, he felt a pain in his ribs. Lucas’s fist hit him like a hammer and Patrick

almost vomited blood.

“I’m out, okay?”

Lucas's voice was cold and indifferent, but it sounded like a trace of suppressed storms, all the anger

was condensing, and the prelude movement began like a tornado.

Patrick instantly realized why he was beaten up. He quickly said, “Lucas, you got it. You got me, man!

Don’t hit me anymore!”

His older sister was in love with the person in front of him, and he even needed Lucas’s help with his

career. He couldn’t afford to offend Lucas.

Patrick was no match for Lucas. Even if he was, he wouldn’t want to fight back. But Lucas didn’t show

any mercy. His fists were in place, and Lucas left no trace on Patrick’s body. People couldn't tell that he

was beaten, but he could feel severe pain all over his body as if all of his bones had been dismantled

and reorganized.

Patrick almost cried.

Lucas’s beating made Patrick scream. Lucas finally got the anger out of his chest.

Lucas said coldly, “I don’t want to see your face this following three months.”

“I am not sure about that. If you and my sister get married, I will be there.”

Patrick rambled immediately.

Lucas frowned his brows slightly. What Patrick last said did make Lucas feel a bit more comfortable.

“If you were not Yasmeen’s brother, I would go ahead and pin you down to let you know whether I am

competent.”

After saying this, Lucas turned around and left, leaving Patrick standing in the wind and clenching his

butt tightly. Patrick was wholly shocked.

Lucas didn’t mean what he just said.

Oh goodness!

Patrick was really getting worried!

He wanted to go home!

Lucas didn’t care what Patrick thought. He felt better after beating up Patrick and went straight to look

for Yasmeen. But Yasmeen was trying to avoid him right now.

Not only was she embarrassed about what she had seen earlier in the bathroom, but now she didn’t

know how to face Lucas after Patrick made up that ridiculous rumor.

Yasmeen was bugging Ashley to talk her into operating on her in advance. But when she saw Lucas

coming in from the back garden, she quickly ran into Michele’s ward.

Edison happened to be there, too. He walked up to the front of Michele and asked Yasmeen when she

got there in a worried tone, “Dear Miss Yasmeen, how may we be helpful for you?”

“Get out and guard outside the door! Don’t let anyone in!”

Yasmeen pushed Edison out right away.

If it was before, Edison would do as told. But now he was reluctant to stay away.

Michele had given up on pursuing Lucas. But the competition between Michele and Yasmeen had been

going on for years. Edison would be out of his mind if he really got out of the room, leaving these two

girls alone in the same room.

“Come on, Miss Yasmeen. Michele isn’t in her best condition, and you are about to have surgery. Can

you two please call a truce?”

“What are you talking about? I’m here to talk to Michele.”

After saying so, Yasmeen sat down next to Michele. Yasmeen put her fingers on Yasmeen’s wrist and

said, “Your detoxification went fast.”

“It did. Thanks to Dr. Ashley’s prescription for me.”

Michele wasn’t sure what Yasmeen was up to in her mind. But she did notice Yasmeen seemed odd

today.

First Yasmeen came over to use her bathroom, and now she was taking Michele’s pulse. When did

they become best friends?

While everyone was trying to figure this out, Lucas showed up at Michele’s ward knocking lightly on the

door, and said, “Hey Edison, and Michele. Get Yasmeen out here.” Content is © by NôvelDrama.Org.

“I am not going to!”

Yasmeen felt like she got stung and she jumped right up. But she realized immediately that she was

just over-reacting, so she said with an awkward smile, “I want to hang out here with Michele.”

Michele now sort of figured Yasmeen was trying to avoid Lucas.

Michele didn’t know what was going on between Lucas and Yasmeen. But seeing Yasmeen running

away from Lucas like mice hiding away from cats did light up her mood.

She was glad that Yasmeen was not having her best days.

Michele added right away, “Edison and I are going to take a walk anyways. Lucas, come on in. We are

on our way out.”

Michele ignored Yasmeen’s signal of asking for help. She grabbed Edison in his hand, jumped off the

bed, and ran outside.

Yasmeen said angrily, “Michele, your jackass, you are doing this on purpose, aren’t you?”

“Exactly, I am. Guess what? You’ve stolen my favorite person Lucas, and I had to get back at you in

some way. You owe me this.”

Michele said her piece quite frankly, but Yasmeen found it harsh.

She made a mistake in having expected Michele would help save her day.

Yasmeen was in deep regret, but there was no way to turn things around.

What should “I” do now?

Lucas was coming into the ward now.

Yasmeen jumped onto the balcony. She was planning to climb through the balcony and go into the

room next door. But Lucas had gotten in so quickly and he was able to grab her by her arm in time. He

said to her with a gloomy look on his face, “Come up here.”

“No! Unless you promise me you’d move on from what happened.”

Yasmeen said out loud her conditions with a high desire for survival.

Lucas cracked up, but he was still angry.

“I’m a man that’s incompetent, what could I possibly do to you?”

What Lucas said made Yasmeen blush instantly.

“No, you are not. Patrick was just talking nonsense. Forget about what he said.”

“But right now, everyone in the hospital might think that I can’t get it up. What should I do then?”

Lucas seemed troubled.

Yasmeen was shocked, with her mouth wide open.

Seriously?

Who was such a big mouth?”

As if he could understand what Yasmeen was thinking, Lucas sneered and said, “Your mom gave me

the prescription and told me to get the drugs from the Pharmacy. But the lady on duty directly told me

not to hide my sickness for the fear of getting treatment. Yasmeen, can you please enlighten me?

Because I am super confused right now. What have I done to lead your mother and younger brother

with thinking that I can’t perform sexually as a man? Or is it you who think I can’t do it because I

haven’t?”

The conversation was getting more and more out of line.

Yasmeen figured she’d better stay on the balcony - Going back up there seemingly would make things

worse. So no matter how hard Lucas was pulling, Yasmeen refused to go up there. She even started

whining. “How would I know? I didn’t say anything. It might be them walking into us doing nothing but

only sleeping in bed. They just had to go with the common speculation that you were incompetent.”

Yasmeen’s voice was getting lower and lower because she had noticed Lucas’s face was getting more

and more upset.

Yasmeen wanted to cry.

It wasn’t her who started the rumor, why did she have to take the blame?

Lucas’s chest hurt with anger.

“Does it mean I can’t if I don’t do it with you? Do I have to give it to you here just so I can prove I am

not incompetent?”

As soon as he said this, Yasmeen was stunned. Her neck crooked to the side, and the whole person of

her passed out.
