Don’t Mess With the Rock Chicks

Chapter 18

Chapter 18

It was the first time Jolene had spoken to Bowen like that.

In the past, she kept her duty in the company or in bed.

But that time was different.

She left after she finished speaking, even if Bowen said in an icy tone, “Stop here!”

She just pretended not to hear it and walked away.

She walked very fast as if a ghost was chasing her.

Accidentally, she sprained her foot.

She sucked in pain and stopped while leaning on the wall.

She returned to the office, packed up her belongings, and gave away other things that should be given away.

Flora was still slightly reluctant and burst into tears as she spoke.

Jolene smiled, “I was just going to the branch office, not going to die. You could come to me for lunch during the lunch break.”

“Special Assistant Marsh, you could go and beg Mr. Evert. You had worked with him for so long, and he wouldn’t ignore you….”

“Flora, stop talking like that, and my boyfriend is coming to

pick me up. I think the branch office is pretty good and close to my boyfriend’s house.” Jolene smiled and patted her on the shoulder. NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.

“Special Assistant Marsh, were you in a relationship?” Flora was surprised, “I hadn’t heard you say you had a boyfriend before?”

“I’ll treat you to dinner another day.” Jolene left the office with her working box in her arms.

She walked briskly into the elevator, and when the door closed, it seemed that all the strength in her body was taken away, and she leaned weakly on the elevator car.

She didn’t take out her phone until a text message came from her phone.

It was a text message from Mrs. Evert.

“Go to the Royal restaurant, Bowen and Karry were going to have dinner there tonight, you and Colin could order whatever you wanted, and I would pay for it. Remember to let Bowen see you are with Colin, and you know what you should do.”

Jolene finished reading ten lines at a glance and stuffed the phone back into the bag.

She was like a piece of meat on a chopping board now, and Mrs. Evert could chop her into whatever she wanted.

Walking out of the Earth Group gate, she immediately saw Colin waiting for her at the gate.

She walked a few steps quickly and handed him the paper box in his hand unceremoniously, as if they were not just acquainted yesterday but a couple who had known each other for a long time.

Colin opened the car door, put the cardboard box inside the car, and made another gesture of invitation to her.

Jolene smiled and got into the co–pilot.

The figure of her getting into the car across the twenty- sixth floor was a small white dot in Bowen’s eyes by the window of the CEO’s office.

He looked back at Jolene’s job transfer application on the computer, walked over to it, and turned it off.

The royal restaurant was a golden cave. When Colin asked Jolene where to eat at night, Jolene said to go to the Royal restaurant.

After speaking, she noticed Colin’s expression, and he responded happily, “Okay.”

Jolene didn’t know if Mrs. Evert had greeted him before or if Colin was rich and powerful.

Mrs. Evert had organized their seats, and just after she sat down to order, she saw Bowen and Karry walking in from the outside.

They were located diagonally opposite Bowen, and they

should be able to see each other as soon as they looked up.

Karry was the first to see Jolene. Jolene looked so beautiful tonight. Karry’s eyes, good at discovering beauties, saw Jolene at a glance.

He touched Bowen with his elbow, “Hey, isn’t that your beautiful special assistant? Who is the man opposite her?”

Bowen was answering the phone just now, and he saw her only then.

He only saw Jolene getting into Colin’s car but didn’t expect them to come to the Royal restaurant.

The manager came to the room for an order, and Bowen asked him to take out the red wine he had stored in the wine cellar.

Just after ordering, when he looked up again, Jolene was already sitting beside Colin.

The two of them were looking at the menu head to head. Marsh had a small light brown mole on the tip of her nose, and a strand of long curly hair also fell, floating around in the air.

The two were sitting still, but this picture was lively and vivid.

Karry poked his head, looked at it carefully, and commented to Bowen, “Your beautiful special assistant was fishing the man. Look at her legs; they were almost entangled with that man’s legs!”
