Chapter 172
Chapter 172
Christiana’s POV
0
The cold air of the warehouse wrapped around me like a noose, tightening with every step Daniel took. He circled me slowly, a predator savoring his prey. His movements were deliberate, calculated, as if he enjoyed the way my chest rose and fell rapidly with every shallow breath.
“Do you hate me, Christiana?” His voice was low, almost a whisper, but it carried a sharp edge that cut through the silence. “I can see it in your eyes.”
I didn’t answer. I couldn’t. My throat was tight, and my lips trembled as tears welled up in my eyes. I tried to look anywhere but at him, but his presence was suffocating, pulling my gaze back to him like a magnet.
He stopped right in front of me, his face inches from mine. His dark eyes glimmered with something twisted, something unrecognizable. This wasn’t the Daniel I used to know. This was someone else entirely…someone dangerous.
“You gave yourself to Alex countless times,” he said, his voice dripping with disdain. “Your body, your heart, your soul… all for him. And what did he do? He crushed you. Over and over again.”
I flinched at his words, the truth in them stinging like salt on an open wound. But this wasn’t about Alex. This was about my children…my babies who were somewhere in this godforsaken warehouse. I had to stay strong. For them.
Daniel chuckled darkly, tilting his head as he studied me. “You’re so quiet,” he mused. “What’s wrong, Christiana? Cat got your tongue?”
I swallowed hard, my hands clenching into fists at my sides. “You’re a monster,” I managed to choke out, my voice utterly loud and hateful.
His smile widened, but it didn’t reach his eyes. “A monster?” he repeated, mocking this. You made me this way.”
. “Perhaps. But I wasn’t always like
I shook my head, fresh tears spilling down my cheeks. “I didn’t make you anything, Daniel. This… this is all you.”
His jaw tightened, and for a brief moment, I thought I saw a flicker of something human in his eyes. Regret? Pain? But it was gone as quickly as it came, replaced with nothing but coldness.
He leaned in closer, his breath hot against my ear. “Do you know what it’s like to love someone so much it consumes you?” he murmured. “To dream of them, crave them, only to watch them slip through your fingers like sand?”
I turned my face away, biting down hard on my lip to keep the sobs from escaping. He grabbed my chin, forcing me to look at him.
“Don’t you dare look away from me,” he hissed. “You don’t get to ignore me, not anymore. You’re mine now, Christiana. Whether you like it or not.”
I stared at him, my vision blurred with tears. “Please,” I whispered, my voice cracking. “Just let my kids go. They have nothing to do with this.”
He released me with a scoff, stepping back and running a hand through his hair. “Oh, they have everything to do with this,” he said, pacing again. “They’re Alex’s blood. His legacy. And you you’re the key to all of it.”
I took a shaky step forward, my knees threatening to buckle beneath me. “Daniel… please. I’ll do whatever you want. Just don’t hurt them.”
He stopped, turning to face me with a smug grin. “Anything I want?” he inquired, his eyes raking over me.
My stomach churned as his gaze lingered, filled with an unsettling mixture of lust and triumph. I felt like I was going to be

He closed the distance between us in an instant, his hand reaching out to brush a stray tear from my cheek. I flinched at his touch, but he didn’t seem to care.
“You’re so beautiful when you’re broken,” he said softly, almost tenderly. “I’ve waited for this moment for so long.”
I wanted to scream, to fight, but my body refused to move. My mind was consumed by thoughts of Ethan and Emma…of their tiny faces, their laughter, their innocence. I couldn’t let anything happen to them.
Daniel’s hand moved to my shoulder, then down my arm, his touch lingering just a moment too long. “Prove it,” he said, his voice dropping to a low growl. “Prove that you’ll do anything for them.”
I froze, my heart pounding so loudly I could barely hear him. “What… what do you mean?” I stammered, though I already knew the answer.
He smirked, his eyes gleaming with a twisted satisfaction. “You know exactly what I mean,” he said, stepping back and gesturing to the room around us. “Right here. Right now. Prove to me that you’re mine.”
I shook my head, the tears falling faster now. “You’re insane,” I whispered, my voice trembling.
He laughed, a hollow, bitter sound that echoed through the warehouse. “Maybe I am,” he said, his tone almost cheerful. “But you made me this way, Christiana. And now, you’re going to fix it.”
I sank to my knees, my body wracked with silent sobs. “Please,” I begged, my voice barely audible. “Don’t do this.”
Daniel crouched down in front of me, his expression softening just enough to make my stomach turn. “You don’t have a choice,” he said quietly, reaching out to tuck a strand of hair behind my ear. “It’s me or them.”
His words hung in the air like a death sentence, and I felt the last shred of hope drain from my body. My children were somewhere in this warehouse, and they needed me. I couldn’t fail them.
But as I looked into Daniel’s eyes, I realized I didn’t know if I could do this. Not for them, not for anyone.
And yet, I had to try.
My hands trembled violently as they reached for the zipper of my dress. Tears blurred my vision, and I could barely breathe my shoulders, through the sobs that wracked my chest. The cold air of the warehouse bit at my skin as I slid the fabric down exposing myself inch by inch to the monster Daniel had become
He stood a few feet away, his eyes devouring me like a starving predator. The lust in his gaze was nauseating, and my stomach churned with a sickness I could barely contain. I wanted to scream, to claw at his face, to run far, far away from this nightmare. But I couldn’t. My children were somewhere in this building, and their safety was the only thing keeping me from collapsing completely.
Daniel smirked, his arms crossed over his chest as he leaned casually against a table. “That’s it,” he murmured, his voice dripping with satisfaction. “You’re finally learning your place.”
I swallowed hard, choking back a sob as I let the dress pool around my ankles. Standing there in my underwear, I wrapped my arms around myself, desperate to shield my body from his vile gaze.
Daniel’s tongue darted out to wet his lips, his eyes narrowing with raw hunger. “Don’t stop now, Christiana,” he said, his tone taunting. “You’ve come this far. Show me just how far you’re willing to go for them.”
I bit down hard on my lip, the metallic taste of blood flooding my mouth. My tears came faster, streaking hot paths down

The room spun as I fumbled with the clasp, my vision going black at the edges. Every fiber of my being screamed for me to stop, to fight, to run…but I couldn’t risk it. My babies. My babies needed me.
As I hesitated, Daniel stepped closer, his smile widening. He looked like he was about to lose control, his hands twitching at his sides. “You have no idea how long I’ve waited for this,” he breathed, his voice hoarse with desire. “To see you like this… vulnerable. Helpless. Mine.”
I gagged, bile rising in my throat. The sheer disgust was overpowering, but I forced myself to keep going. My hands moved to the straps of my bra, shaking so violently‘ I could barely grasp the fabric.
“Good girl,” Daniel murmured, his voice dripping with satisfaction. “Now, don’t-”
The deafening crash of the doors bursting open cut him off.
“FREEZE!”
The shout rang out, followed by the unmistakable sound of guns being cocked. A flood of men in black uniforms poured into the warehouse, their weapons trained on Daniel.
“Hands in the air!” one of the officers barked. “Now!”
I froze, my hands clutching the straps of my bra as my knees buckled beneath me. Relief and shock coursed through me, and I collapsed to the floor, sobbing uncontrollably.
Daniel turned slowly, his face a mask of stunned disbelief. For a split second, he looked like a man who had just watched his entire world come crashing down.
“What the hell is this?” he snarled, his voice rising in
anger.
“You can’t do this!”
“Put your hands in the air, or we will fire!” the officer shouted again, his voice unwavering.
Daniel’s fists clenched at his sides, his jaw tightening as he glared at the officers. “You don’t understand,” he spat. “This is between me and her. She belongs to me!”
