Chapter nineteen
I heard Sapphire running my way to come play with her. Since Blade's been sick, she's been coming to me since I'm close to Blade. Amber or Dawn has been filling in for me when I don't want to play with her.
Don't get me wrong, I love playing with her, not everyday. It gets annoying. I don't know how Blade does it.
On cue, Amber comes in sitting across from me. "How's Blade doing?"
"He's still burning up. He says his stomach still hurts and he's definitely has weaken."
"Poor boy."
"I know. I had to keep Sapphire from going in. She really wants to see him."
"I'm here," she says as she hops on the couch beside Amber.
"Dawn is doing the best she can to heal him, but I doubt it's working. I say he just needs to rest."
"Why can't I see Blade?" Sapphire squeaks.
"Because he's sick, and if you go visit him, it'll pass down to you. Then you'll be sick. It's already bad enough we have two people checking on him. Even one's too much," Nevada explains sitting beside me.
"What is he sick with?"
"Hep D," I jump in.
"What's that?"
"It's a sickness that only vampires can get. It weakens their powers and a higher chance of getting killed from anything."
"Aww, poor Blade."
"Yeah. And vamps can also catch it so it's best that if no one goes in there to visit, just check up on him. We don't need everyone to get it again," I say.

"Yeah, many years ago we all got it. It wasn't fun. Nevada and Corbin weren't even born yet," Amber replied.
"Wow."
"Yeah," we said in unison.
Dawn walked into the room and sat beside me, leaning her little head in my shoulders. "Hey, Babe."
"Hey, darling."
I hooped her nose then kiss her on the forehead. She moved her head so we lock lips.
"Ugh, go to a room. There's children here."
"Are you sure it's not you?" I ask raising my eyebrow. Amber can get envious at times.
"What? No!"
"Cause you seem like your envious you don't have a boyfriend," Dawn cut in.
"I'm not envious," she defends.
"Uh-huh, right," Nevada says getting up from her spot. "I'm off to talk to a friend.
"Is it a boy?" I ask smirking.
"No! It's just a friend."
"Uh- huh, right," I mocked her. She gave me the death glare and left.
"You know who she should end up with?" Amber asks.
"Who?" We ask in unison.
"Corbin."
I snicker at that. Honestly, now that I think of it, they would be a good couple. "That could actually work. They fight like they're a couple. Plus I think Corbin is very jealous of her talking to guys. I mean, he always goes protective mode on her." Dawn have a point.
"You do have a point there sweetie."
"I know."
Dawn curled up in me for comfort. I wrap my arm around her.
It's been a lazy day since I'm suspended from school for the week. Raul gave me a lecture of how I'm supposed to just walk away, but still understood that it's a Vanett and we all hate them. So he did understand why I fought them. Blade did interfere to help me.
Blade.
The poor guy.
Hope he gets better in the meantime.
