Darling, Don't Get Rid of Me

Chapter 117 Not Being Familiar is Good

Chapter 117 Not Being Familiar is Good

He was right. Since Harriet was definitely drunk, the address she said was not where her apartment

located, but the private villa Wesley used to live in.

The location and price represented wealth as well as social status. Therefore, even a superstar like

Bryant was not able to live here if he didn’t have any background.

“Where can I find Wesley?” muttered Bryant. When he was about to help Harriet get back to the car

and order a room in the hotel, the voice of Jack sounded nearby.

“Mr. Fox, leave Miss Clark to me, please.”

Bryant knew the man. He was the private assistant of Wesley. In most cases, his words represented

what Wesley meant. However, at that time, Bryant was worried about leaving Harriet to that man.

“Is that what Mr. Smith mean? And where is he going to settle Harriet?”

Jack answered without an emotion, “It is Mr. Smith’s order. He will arrange it.”

Bryant frowned, “Since Harriet was brought here by me, I should be responsible for her. Besides, now

that Mr. Smith has no relationship with her now, is it appropriate for him to meddle in her life?”

Not coming face to face with Wesley, Bryant said in a stronger tone.

Jack frowned, “Mr. Fox, let go, please.”

However, Bryant didn’t loosen his hand. “Or, I shall follow you to the place where you are going to bring

Harriet. I must ensure she is safe.”

After hesitating for a while, Jack brought Harriet to the villa followed by Bryant, because his boss gave

him no instruction except to bring Harriet back to the house.

“Mr. Smith, Miss Clark is in her room now, but Bryant also insists to stay. So...”

On the other end of the phone, Wesley was driving fast. When he heard Jack’s report, he frowned,

“Jack Moor, are you a fool?”

Jack paused because of the scold, but then realized. “I’m sorry, Mr. Smith. I’ll let him go at once.”

“Let him stay there,” said Wesley, and he hung up quickly.

He would be at the villa in five minutes. He’d like to see how officious Bryant was.

“Wesley, I feel a headache...”

Sitting on the bed in a spacious bedroom, Harriet mumbled with a frown. Bryant sighed helplessly,

“Harriet, have a look at me! I’m not your Mr. Smith!”

Then he quickly put a pillow behind Harriet, and poured a glass of hot water for her. “Here you are.

Drink it to warm up your stomach.”

However, Harriet looked him up and down with squinting. “Bryant, why are you here? Where is

Wesley?”

Bryant said with a wry smile, “Clear your mind! After canceling the contract with Pleasure Media, how

could you count on Wesley? Besides, you are staying at his house now. Who knows if he would come

here and be angry with you?”

He hoped Harriet could be soberer after sleeping for a while and they could leave together. Otherwise,

he was afraid that Wesley would quarrel with her.

“You are right. I’ve canceled the contract with him,” Harriet laughed at herself, “How can I count on

him? After all he is not short of actresses or women.”

Even if Bryant was a fool, he could know that she had already been caught in, judging by the

disappointed tone.

“How silly you are! Since you know what man Wesley is, why did you give him your true heart?”

Harriet’s eyes were getting darker. “I didn’t want to...I didn’t want to be like that...”

But what could she do instead? Could the feeling about love be controlled? If it could, there wouldn’t be

so many men and women who were dissatisfied with their relationship.

Mumbling for a while, Harriet began to be confused again and whined to Bryant, “Wesley, come here!

Are you going to leave me alone?”

Bryant felt speechless but funny at the same time. Therefore, instead of denying, he decided to make

fun of her. “I couldn’t be relieved without you, so I send you back. Are you feeling touched?”

“Absolutely not!” Harriet replied with a pettish tone, “After dealing with Camille, you came here for me,

right?”

Jack watched their every move at the door, frowning unhappily.

If their interaction were seen by Mr. Smith, he would be furious. Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.

As Jack was thinking, sound of footsteps was heard at the door. He turned his head at once and saw

Wesley walking in unhappily. “Mr. Smith.”

Hearing the voice, Bryant also turned his head, only to see the cold face of a man. All of a sudden, he

lost his confidence. Then he coughed drily and loosened his hand on Harriet.

“Now that Mr. Smith is here, I should be free now. I shall go and leave you both alone.”

Wesley gazed at him with cold eyes, “Didn’t you insist to follow her here?”

Bryant smiled awkwardly. “I was afraid that assistant Jack would be burdensome, since Harriet was

hard to deal with after getting drunk. Therefore, I came here to help.”

“Do you often take care of her?”

Hearing the words of Wesley, Bryant felt that the temperature nearby had got colder.

“Absolutely not. Mr. Smith, you must be over-thinking. We are not too familiar to each other.” Bryant felt

he was very awkward. But at this time, he was really afraid to provoke the unhappy man in front of him.

Hearing the words, Wesley stretched his frown. “Not being familiar is good.”

Bryant left as quickly as possible. Looking after him, Harriet shouted with a frown, “Wesley, come

back!”

Wesley walked to her and grasped her extended wrist. “See clearly who I am.”

Moving the sight to his face, Harriet was confused with a frown. “Why are there two Wesley?”

Wesley frowned and made the instruction with the head aslant, “Prepare some sobering soup.”

Jack responded and then went to the kitchen.

“So strange. Why are there two...” Harriet held the man’s arm tightly with a frown and suddenly spoke

up, “I see. One Wesley for Camille, and the other came here for me, right? How busy Mr. Smith is!”

Wesley held her head and moved it closer to himself. “So what? Do you really care if I am with other

women?”

Astonished, Harriet spoke firmly a few seconds later, “I don’t care about you at all! You can be with

whoever you want to. Now that you like Camille so much, be with her! Leave me alone!”

Wesley sneered, “If you didn’t insist to stay here, I won’t be with you.”

Hearing his words, Harriet got furious and got out of the bed at once. “I’ll go right now. No one wants to

be here!”

However, since she had been drunk, when she stood on the floor, she felt dizzy and fell into the arms of

Wesley precisely.

Harriet even looked more beautiful because of her red face after drinking. Wesley was attracted and

was about to kiss her.

“Mr. Smith, the sobering soup has...um...been prepared.” Jack stood awkwardly at the door of the

bedroom, holding a stay in his hand.

He didn’t mean to disturb them, but it was too late to stop, so he had to finish his words nervously.

Standing straight, Wesley took over the soup and blew it gently so as to feed her.

Jack was truly shocked by Wesley’s behavior. After serving Wesley for so many years, it was the first

he saw the man taking care of a woman like that. Even for Louisa, he just cared for her with a few

words.
