Damian’s Obsession

9

“Wow… You don’t even know my name??” He asked.

“Why should I bother??” I asked back.

“I don’t like the title… Don’t bother just call me by my name.” He said.

“Which is?”

“Damian Black.”

I almost spat out the food that was in my mouth.

“The Damian Black?? Then that means…”

“That’s right. I’m the owner of Black and Co designers.” He said smugly.

What the hell?!?!?!

“The same one you applied to get a job in.” He said.

“How come? But you were the interviewer. Interviewers aren’t the same as the CEOs.” I said unable to hide my shock.

“Who told you that?” He asked in amusement.

“Besides that’s only one of my numerous companies. Why would I, who can afford this expensive mansion and own a really large club still work under someone in a fashion company?” He boasted.

Why didn’t I think of that?

“But….” I muttered unable to place my thoughts together. I was really perplexed.

Then that means that the CEO of Black and Co designers is a murderer. How come the police nor the media knows about this??

He murdered someone in broad daylight but no one interfered. He could even kidnap me but nothing has still changed.

Is he that wealthy? This is more serious than I thought.

“What’s wrong princess??” His voice brought me out of my reverie.

“Huh??” I asked still feeling dazed.

“Does knowing all this make you want me more?” He asked showing off his beautiful smile.

I coughed in embarrassment and that made him laugh. What the hell is he saying??

“No….” I muttered and continued eating my food.

“If you say so.”

“Don’t you have other questions for me?” He suddenly asked.

I looked up to face him in confusion.

“Questions like what?” I asked back.

“Uhmm.. my hobbies, things I like and don’t stuffs like that.” He said.

“I don’t.” I answered.

“Why not?” He asked again.

“I don’t think we are that close to know everything about each other.” I said in a nonchalant manner.

“But I know everything about you.” He said.

“Really?” I asked in surprise.

“Yes. Selina Cortez. An orphan who lived in a orphanage till when she reached the age of eighteen. Had to work different part time jobs to afford a good college. Then graduated as a fashion designing student. She’s now currently jobless.” I listened in shock as he summarized every detail.

“Did you do a background check on me?” I asked angrily.

“Sure. I need to know everything about you.” He muttered in a ‘duh’ tone.

“Why?” I asked.

“Why not.” I really hate when he does that.

Replying my question with another question.

“You see Mr. Interviewer…..”This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

“It’s Damian. I don’t really like it when others call me by my name but I’m giving you the privilege of doing so.” He said.

Who does he think he is??

“Whatever Damian. We have no business of knowing each other’s information. The only relationship we have is that of a kidnapper which is you and I your victim. There’s nothing important between us so I’ll hope you stop digging out information about me.” I warned.

I could see sadness flash through his hazel eyes but it disappeared as soon as it came.

“You are not my victim…. You’re my property.”

“I’m not your property and will never be one. Always remember that because that fact will never change.” I said with anger suddenly bubbling in me.

I don’t know why I’m suddenly getting so worked up. Probably because he treats me like some object he can toss around as he likes.

“Relax princess… You don’t need to get angry.” He said when he realised my mood had changed.

What’s with the informality. I was expecting him to lash out like he always does. Why is he being so calm now??

Well, I didn’t care.

“How can I be calm when you won’t let me go. I don’t want to be here!!” I screamed.

“Are you still hung up on that??” He asked. I could sense that he was slowly loosing his composure.

“We never left it. This is the way it’s going to be from now till I leave this cage you call a house. You’ve made me loose my appetite.” I said as I stood up from the chair.

“Where are you going?” He asked.

“Any where but here.” I muttered as I left the dinning hall and headed straight back to the room.

Thankfully I didn’t miss my way because this mansion is really big.

I locked the door behind me and laid down tiredly on the bed. This is really frustrating. I’m here, stuck in a mansion with a really undeniably hot captor that wouldn’t let me go.

I have no one to talk to about my predicament. Even if I do, I don’t have my phone with me.

Wait… I stood up from the bed and checked the pockets of my skirt but couldn’t find it. I checked around the room including the drawers and the closet but it wasn’t there.

“Wait…. I hopw he didn’t take it from me. There’s only one way to find out.” I left the room and went in search for him to question him about my missing phone.

~DAMIAN’S PRIVATE OFFICE IN THE MANSION~

Damian flipped through the paper works feeling dazed. He still couldn’t get his mind off the way he felt when Selina uttered those words to him.

Was it pain? Hurt? He didn’t know but one thing was for sure. He had better bury those feelings because it would only make him weak.

“Someone of my caliber isn’t supposed to be thinking about things like that.” He thought to himself as he he decided to clear his mind from anything that concerns Selina.

The door to his office was suddenly opened and Grey walked in.

“What is it Grey?” He asked still not taking his eyes off the things he was doing.

“I just captured a worker trying to run away with some of the merchandise.” Grey said.

Damian raised his head and turned to face Grey.

“Where is he?” Damian asked coldly.

“In the dungeon boss.” Grey answered.

Damian stood up and left the room with Grey trailing behind him.

~DUNGEON~

Damian watched angrily as a man probably in his mid twenties was chained against the wall. He had blue and black bruises all over his body which was a result of the beating he recieved from Damian’s guards.

“What do you think you would gain my stealing from me?” He asked taking slow strides towards the already shivering man.

“I’m so sorry boss. I don’t know what came over me. I needed money urgently so I…..”

He wasn’t able to complete his sentence when Damian stabbed him on his leg with a really sharp dagger.

“Argghhhh.” He screamed in pain as blood seeped out of his injured leg.

Grey turned his face to the other side. Though he had worked with Damian for a long time, his torturing methods still haunted him till date.

It was really gruesome.

“He must be really stupid to ever think of stealing from Damian” Grey thought as he shook his head in pity.

“How is it my problem if you needed money. Don’t I pay you enough?” He asked as he stabbed him again on the other leg.

He released another painful howl due to the assault.

“Answer me!!” Damian ordered.

“You do boss. You do.” The man croaked out in pain.

“You know what I hate the most. Stealing and betrayal. You just angered me by engaging in one of the acts and now, you’ll have to pay for your sins. You know the drill.” Damian muttered as he raised the man’s head up.

“No boss. I’m sorry. It would never happen again. ” The man pleaded.

“I know.” Damian muttered as he used the dagger to slash his throat.

The man struggled to to breath as blood seeped from his neck.

Some of the blood splattered all over Damian’s face making look like a devil.

“Gross.” He muttered as he used a clean handkerchief to wipe his face.

“Clean this mess off.” Damjan ordered and was about to leave the dungeon when something caught his eyes.

“Selina.” He called in shock as he watched her staring at him in fear.
