Prologue : Picture Of James
Prologue : Picture Of James
The infamous American supermodel, Mr. James Anderson, summoned Daniel Whilkes, to sustain a
very special encounter with him:
Lively chatter and poorly suppressed laughter filled the lobby, easing Daniel's tension as he continued
walking through. Maroon stained leather sofas were pressed against violet, high-ceiling walls, and
various magazines, having women photoshopped to perfection on their covers, were littered atop glass
coffee tables sitting in front of the couches. Even the walls were decorated with sexy women;
professionally framed photographs hung every several feet.
The office was nothing but an awe-inspiring piece of architecture. The big round aquarium going from NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.
floor to ceiling in the midpoint of the hall just gave an amazing look to it. Hundreds of colorful fish
doubled the beauty.
The creases on his forehead were prominent as he approached a pretty middle aged woman seated
behind the desk, "Uh, hello." He pleaded her attention softly, gazing at the dial of the watch strapped to
his left wrist.
The woman looked up, giving him a look over, "How can I serve you, sir?"
"I'm Daniel, Daniel Whilkes....."
"Oh, Mr Wilkes, the boss has been waiting for you for the last fifteen minutes." She shot a weird face at
him.
I guess when she was told that her boss had a special guest, she didn't expect an 18 year old boy at
all.
"The traffic on Dawson Street was awful." He let out the lame excuse passing a tiny embarrassed smile
at her.
"Take the elevator straight to the third floor, once you're there go straight and the fifth door on the right
is Mr. James's office." She guided him, wholly uninterested.
The stunningly beautiful interior and old wood furniture of the office left Daniel in awe as he drew near
the elevator. The unanswerable questions about James Anderson invaded his mind while he pushed a
button and the doors of the elevators shut in a wink of an eye.
He stressed to make out in his mind what the hell on earth was the formula James applied to achieve
the position which he currently flaunted? Five years back everyone in America knew James Anderson
was a flop model after he lashed out at a model, winner of the 'Super Model' contest, live on the
national television.
And straight off after five years he ran the number one advertising company and was one of the top
supermodels of America. Achieving this success with luck just isn't possible, it's not possible but
Daniel's pea-sized brain couldn't make out what the heck James did to achieve all that.
The elevator chimed and the door slid open introducing Daniel to the 3rd Floor.
He walked straight trying to calculate out the fifth door on his right.
After all, marrying the great Jenna Mount did it for Mr. Anderson.
It didn't take time for Daniel to crack James' shortcut to success. He placed a couple of soft knocks on
the wooden door.
"Come in." A monotone feminine voice ordered. He held the shiny golden doorknob and let the door
opened. It let him into a hallway. In front of him was another door completely made up of glass which
was perfectly reflecting Daniel's image as an expensive mirror would've done.
"Welcome." Said a security guard, flaunting grey uniform with a large black rifle in his hands, "Sir's
been waiting for you. You're late." He added.
Daniel had no choice but to shrug his shoulders in an apologetic manner. Giving himself a shocking
look in the glass door, he raked fingers through his hair in an effort to attempt to appear presentable.
The guard brought up his wrist near his lips, "Mr. Whilkes is here, sir." He informed James about
Daniel's arrival.
"Let him in." Daniel raised an eyebrow, taking heed to the gruff sound coming from the other end on the
guard's radio. Daniel didn't want to give out a bad impression to the father of his girlfriend, hence he
fished out a mini body spray from his side pocket, spraying it thrice under his each arm.
The guard let him in while he rubbed his forehead in an effort to get rid of the sweat beads forming. As
soon as he entered the cabin cool breeze of the air conditioner hugged him.
Daniel's eyes widened as he was introduced to the broad office, the well-furnished room was enough
for a dance party of zebras. He looked around, each and everything was catchy, but one special life-
sized frame of the bathroom door caught his attention; it was a picture from James' nude photo shoot
which was really appealing.
Being of the same gender, Daniel could also feel the temptations of how possible it was for girls to defy
such a sexy body. Thankfully James' hand covered his crotch in the picture otherwise it would have
been a simple drooling case for Daniel.
My life would be complete if I could impress her dad...
The couch set kept in the corner looked like it was inviting Daniel to jump on it.
"You were supposed to be here seventeen minutes ago, Mr. Whilkes," James uttered briskly as he was
busy typing on his laptop.
Not finding a timely response from Daniel, he flipped the lid of his laptop shut and leaned back on his
high leather revolving seat, "Have a seat." He gestured, before gently rubbing his temple.
Being an obedient student at the school Daniel instantly jumped into the seat kept against the desk,
"Sorry, Mr. Anderson." He apologised, striving hard to appear normal.
"Just be comfortable. Have some water." James offered him a glass of water.
Daniel accepted the glass of water and kept it aside after taking a couple of sips, "I am comfortable."
He waited for James to get to the point.
James leaned forward, putting his hands on the glassy surface of the desk, "Back to business. How
much will it withdraw to leave Sarah alone?" He asked, raising his brows like it was nothing but a photo
shoot deal or any other deal of his wife's construction business.
"Excuse me?"
"I said I'm ready to fill your ass with dollars in return for leaving my daughter alone." James said,
placing a little punch on the surface of the table.
James' words were definitely shocking for a person like Daniel - who was thinking James was starting
to plan a surprise birthday party.
"But sir, I truly like your daughter, she's just-" Daniel fell short of words or maybe the energy to say
them.
"See, I'm not one for lengthy lectures and melodrama." James sighed, rising from his seat shooting
some alarming looks at Daniel.
"To be precise, I love your daughter, I love her more than anything." Daniel begged, putting on his best
confident look on his face while his body language contradicted him.
Calm as water, James rested his buttocks on the icy surface of the desk and fetched a globe kept on
the pile of papers nearby, "Of course you do. But who comes first on your list? Is it my daughter?'' By
this James made it crystal clear to Daniel that this meeting could be about anything but Sarah's
surprise birthday party.
Daniel looking at James' chin trying hard to avoid his Blue deep eyes responded,'' I-I can swear on
Bible. She is my one and only priority.''
''I doubt that, Daniel. Because I seem to recall that Alice has quite a high position up there on your list.
Am I wrong?" Timing of James' smile appearing and Daniel's vanishing was so awkwardly same that it
seemed James stole smile off Daniel's face.
Daniel's face went pale on Alice's name being mentioned, "I don't know what you're talking about Mr.
Anderson!" Daniel chose to lie like there was no tomorrow.
James flashed a sympathetic smile to Daniel as he grabbed his left shoulder, making Daniel face him,
"Don't worry you little douche. I'll do the honours of reminding you."
"There's clearly nothing to be reminded of, I really don't know where this conversation is going to!" A
confused Daniel tried rising from the seat but James' forceful push on his shoulder resisted him to do
so.
James caught a blue file kept on the desk and looked at it for a short second and drove his attention
back to Daniel, taking a deep breathe.
"So you screwed Alice Brown, setting out her pregnant six months ago and that stupid girl killed herself
trying to abort her fetus in her toilet, am I right?" James said in a taunting manner, daring Daniel to
contradict to him.
Daniel's hands began to tremble terribly while James gestured him with his eyes to possess more or
less water, but Daniel was too scared to even inhale, "You were spying on me?'' Daniel uttered a barely
audible whisper.
James hit him a pathetic look and loosened his tie, "You left me no choice when Sarah told me how
much she loved you." James spat, insulting Daniel.
"Alice Brown's death came as a shocker to you, and her parents left no rock unturned in getting your
ass behind bars." James paused, enjoying the fearful look on Daniel's face.
"A gay attorney promised to serve you if you agreed to his wish of getting laid. You agreed to this and
as a result, the attorney helped you with the case." James chuckled observing Daniel's jaw-dropping at
his feet, "I am surprised how low you stoop every time you get trapped in any trouble."He added
sarcastically.
"I'm ready to do whatever." Daniel uttered quickly, but paused when pair of sexy blue eyes flashed him
another threatening glare.
"I haven't wound up. You mixed a number of pills in my daughter's drink to bang her; but due to medical
emergencies, you weren't able to experience sex with Sarah, were you? Right away, you're going to do
what I say." He threatened harshly banging the icy surface of the desk.
Daniel, shut his eyes tight bowing his head down as he understood his game was over, and all his
dreams of hooking up with a billionaire went down the drain already, "I can't apologise enough." He
pleaded. James tried controlling his anger and determined not to strangle Daniel.
Getting back to his calm composure, "It was fun seeing you squirm today, Daniel." He paused while
Daniel tried figuring out James' mood swings, "Though, the games I play are on a whole new level." His
firm tone was nothing but a warning for Daniel who was dreading to utter a single word.
"If you don't want me to toss you off, then you'll behave as I say." James said, sinking back in his
leather seat.
"I will!"
"Good." He hesitated, "Very good. At once, you'll do as I say and forget my daughter ever existed.
Okay?" James pointed the finger at him raising eyebrows.
Daniel accepted the lump past his throat, "Your daughter? Who?" He tried proving his assertion and
how disgusting he was.
James drew the drawer open and hunted down a new black iPhone six and pushed it towards Daniel
on the surface of the desk, "Here, take this and wait for my call, I'll get back to you in less than thirty
minutes." His glaring blue eyes forced Daniel to pick up the cell phone without uttering a single word.
"Okay, sir."
''Now get lost!" James ordered Daniel in a disgusted tone as Daniel stood up from his seat and turned
to leave. James tossed the lid of his laptop open and smiled reading an email under his breath.
"Sir, am I going to cause to give this back once your job's done?" Daniel turned as his idiotic query
caused James to lift his gaze.
James gave him a sarcastic grin, "You can shove it up your ass for all I care." Understanding the heat
of his tone, Daniel quickly rushed out of the office.
James leaned back wearing a satisfying smile on his face as the leather of the seat soothed his back,
"The games begin, Sarah." He rubbed his hands, grinning at the thoughts running in his
mind.
