Gasps erupted from the pack members. Elijah had just claimed her in front of the entire pack, leaving no room for doubt.

"You have no right-Alpha Cris's eyes flashed with anger.

"I have every right. She is mine, and you will not touch her. Any harm that befalls her will be treated as an act of aggression against me and the crown."

The impact of his words was undeniable. The power dynamics in the room had shifted completely, with Elijah firmly in control. Alpha Cris was left with no choice but to relent.

Fiona could hardly believe what had just happened. In a matter of minutes, Elijah had turned the entire situation on its head, claiming her in a way that left no room for the pack to question het loyalty or her safety.

Elijah's eyes remained locked on Alpha Cris. The Alpha hesitated, clearly weighing his options before he finally gave a cu nod. "Very well Your Highness," he said, his voice tight with barely restrained anger. "We will see how this plays out."

Elijah didn't respond, his gaze still fixed on the Alpha, making it clear that the conversation was over. He then turned to Fiona, his expression softening slightly "Come, Fiona. We're done here."

Fiona nodded, her heart pounding as she followed Elijah out of the room. The weight of what had just transpired felt heavy and suffocating, but there was also a sense of relief-a feeling that, for now, she was safe.

As they left the main hall, Fiona couldn't help but steal a glance at Elijah. The way he had handled the situation, the way he had claimed her in front of everyone-it left her both grateful and unsettled.

"Thank you," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Elijah glanced at her, his expression unreadable. "You're mine now, Fiona. And I take care of what's mine."

Fiona felt something warm in her chest. She couldn't understand what it was but she knew that this was the first time that she felt something like this all her life. Was it because this was the first time that someone tried and successfully protected her? Is this the feeling of being protected!

Fiona lowered her gaze so she didn't see Elijah looking at her with a smile on his face.

Alpha Cris stormed into his study, slamming the door behind him. His chest heaved with rage, and without a second thought, he grabbed a heavy crystal decanter filled with wine and hurled it across the room. The glass shattered against the wall, the red liquid splattering like blood across the stone, a violent outburst that barely began to sate his fury.

"How dare he!" Alpha Cris bellowed, pacing back and forth like a caged animal. His authority had been challenged, his power questioned, and all of it in front of his entire pack. The humiliation burned like acid-in his veins. Elijah, that damın Prince, had completely undermined him, and all because of that wretched girl, Figur Rosenthal.

Out of nowhere, a knock interrupted him. His face turned ugly. Didn't he instruct them not to let anyone in?

The door to his study creaked open, and Fiona's father, Lord Rosenthal, stepped in cautiously. He barely had time to react before another bottle flew past him, smashing into the doorframe with a deafening crash.

"What are you doing here?" Alpha Cris roared, his eyes blazing with unbridled fury. "What were you doing while your daughter was wreaking havoc inside my pack?!"

Lord Thomas Rosenthal's face remained impassive, but there was a flicker of something darker in his eyes as he stepped fully into the room. "My Alpha," he began. Tunderstand your anger. But I assure you, I had no hand in what happened today. Fiona acted on her own." Alpha Cris wasn't satisfied. He advanced on Lord Rosenthal, his fists clenched. "Do you expect me to believe that? Your daughter nearly destroyed everything! She's made a fool of me in front of my entire pack, and you-you stand there as if you had nothing to do with it? Are you conspiring with her? Working with her to bring me down?"

Lord Rosenthal's eyes flashed with anger at the accusation, but he quickly suppressed it. "I would never betray you, Alpha," he said, his tone firm. "The Rosenthal family has served this pack for generations. We have always been loyal, and we always will be

"Then explain to me how your daughter got the audacity to defy me!" Alpha Cris demanded, his voice dripping with venom. "She's making a mockery of everything we've built here!"

Lord Rosenthal swallowed hard, knowing that any misstep could cost him dearly. "I've already taken steps to ensure that Fiona will not succeed in her defiance," he said, his voice measured. "According to our clan law, Fiona is never allowed to leave the pack or marry someone outside of it. I will make sure that law is upheld, even if it means stopping her by fore

Alpha Cris's eyes narrowed as he studied the man before him. "Are you saying you're willing to hurt your own daughter to prove your loyalty?" he sneered.

Without hesitation, Lord Rosenthal fell to his knees before the Alpha, his head bowed in submission. "If that is what it takes to prove my loyalty to you and this pack, then yes. I will do whatever is necessary to protect our traditions and uphold the laws. The Rosenthal family serves the Alpha and the pack above all else. If hurting my own blood is required, then so be it."

Alpha Cris stared down at the kneeling man, the fury in his chest slowly being replaced by a cold satisfaction. The display of loyalty was exactly what he wanted to see, even if it came at the cost of one of his most loyal families. He would make sure Fiona Rosenthal learned her place, no matter the cost.

"Rise," Alpha Cris commanded, his voice hard. "You will ensure that your daughter's actions are dealt with swiftly. I expect nothing less than complete obedience, Lord Rosenthal. Do not fail me again."

*Lord Rosenthal stood. "I won't, Alpha. I will make sure Fiona understands the consequences of her actions."

Alpha Cris nodded, the fire in his eyes dimming slightly. "Good, I want this resolved immediately. I will not tolerate any more insubordination."

Without another word, Lord Rosenthal turned and left the study
