Chapter 966

She parted her lips slightly, exhaling trembling breaths.

Theodore's breath, buried in the crook of her neck, became increasingly hot and heavy. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - ©.

Suddenly, a faint voice came from her lips. "Theo, has Vincent's surgery been completed?"

Theodore's body stiffened. Just as his passion was reaching its peak, he heard Rosalie utter another man's name. He felt a pang of guilt and pain. He stared into Rosalie's closed eyes, noticing she was still asleep or perhaps half-asleep-not fully conscious of what was happening.

Yet, even in her half-dreaming state, she still thought of that man. Even while asleep, she was concerned for him.

Theodore suddenly felt like a scoundrel. How could he take advantage of her like this at such a vulnerable moment?

She was already suffering enough, yet he still hurt her.

It was so hard. How many men could control themselves when faced with their beloved woman lying naked in front of them?

Theodore closed his eyes in pain, a tear slipping down his cheek and falling onto her.

Finally, he sighed deeply, pulled the blanket over them both, and gently held her in his arms. He kissed her cheek and whispered in her ear, "Not yet. You rest for now, and I'll let you know once the surgery is done."

Rosalie was really exhausted, and she was also frightened by recent events. She was mentally and physically drained, too tired to even open her eyes. So, she was completely unaware of how close she was to Theodore.

Theodore held her like this, unwilling to let go or look away.

That night, Theodore didn't know how many times he kissed her.

As dawn approached, he sighed softly in her ear.

"Rose, how I wish time could turn back. If I didn't have Cynthia and you didn't have Sebastian, we would be together. We would only need each other."

The morning sunlight poured

through the window, bathing Rosalie in its soft and warm glow. The light danced in the air, casting delicate patterns, like petals gently covering her skin.

Her long hair was smooth and sleek, like a stream of water in the darkness softly falling on the white pillowcase. Her brows arched

slightly, outlining her beautiful face.

Her skin was as delicate and pure as snowflakes, as if she was a sculpture of a Greek God.

Her eyelashes trembled slightly, fluttering like butterfly wings, adding a mysterious, enchanting glow to her eyes.

The entire room was filled with a peaceful, harmonious atmosphere, as though time itself had frozen, leaving only this moment of serenity.

The warmth of the sunlight enveloped her, as if giving her a tender embrace, guarding her dreams and sweeping away any unhappiness or pain. Rosalie furrowed her brow and slowly opened her eyes. The sunlight was a bit too bright, and her eyes prickled.

Theodore noticed it and immediately reached out to shield her eyes from the light.

When Rosalie saw the large hand hovering near her, she turned her head. She realized Theodore was lying beside her.

She was startled, and quickly sat up in bed.

Last night, she had felt something strange, but she was too exhausted to open her eyes.
