Chasing My Pregnant Wife

Chapter 1047

"No, she simply said that your younger sister passed away," Theodore replied.

"Yes, Rosalie's surname does sound like my sister's name, so I took her as my sister. Don't worry, I didn't hurt her over those days. However, the red marks on her neck were from my strangling her."

Theodore's brows furrowed, and his voice was tinged with fury. "Why?"

"I have nightmares when I sleep, and it triggers a trauma response. That night, she called me. I thought she was a bad guy, so I strangled her. I feel awful about it," Justin confessed.

Theodore wanted to punch Justin for it, but since Rosalie didn't blame him, finding trouble with him over it would only draw her resentment.

With that in mind, Theodore changed the subject. "I asked the doctor, and he said that you're recovering very quickly. You'll be discharged in no time." Justin smiled. "That's good."

"Will you keep in contact with Rose after you get discharged?"

"Is that any of your business? You seem to be very bothered by that. Aren't you two divorced?"

"Even though we're divorced, I still see her as my younger sister. Unlike you, we've known each other for 11 years."

"11 years." Justin smirked. "How impressive. You've known her for so long and hurt her so deeply. All the more impressive that makes you." "You..." Theodore clenched his fists, but he tried to suppress his anger. "I won't beat around the bush. I want you to keep your distance from Rose." Justin arched a brow, and his smirk deepened. "What did you say?"

"You know very clearly what I just said."

Justin's face turned icy. "It's none of your business whether I keep my distance from Rose or not, ex-brother-in-law."Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.

He practically bit out his address of Theodore in an attempt to mock the latter.

Theodore's eyes narrowed. "You know better than I do the kind of person you really are."

He leaned in close to Justin and said, "Everyone around Hades dies. Do you want Rose dead, too?"

Justin's fists clenched under the sheets. "I won't let her die. What's more, I wasn't the one who gave myself that moniker."

"Does that matter?" Theodore said

darkly. "Whether you gave yourself that name or not, you're the god of death. You won't let Rose die, but does this world revolve around your order? If so, your sister wouldn't have died."

Justin's brows furrowed. "Do you know how my sister died?"

"Yes, I do. I checked it out, and I truly sympathize, However, this can't be your reason for hurting Rose. You can treat her as a replacement and make e her stay by your side and make up for what you owe your sister. You're actually hurting her."

Justin threw the sheets off with a whoosh, and grabbed Theodore's collar. "Theodore Spencer, what gives you the right to say that? You're clearly the one who hurt her! Why don't you keep your distance from her instead?"

"Whatever hurt I caused her was merely emotional, but you're risking her life. You probably have many enemies suppose, not just in Orego but also in Melrine. Just think about the number of people you've offended. They're all murderers who kill without batting an eyelid. Did you forget how your younger sister died?" Theodore taunted.

Just then, Justin landed a punch on Theodore's face.

"Stop mentioning my sister!" Justin roared.

Theodore didn't get angry over getting punched. He simply wiped the blood from the corner of his lips and stood up.
