Chapter 31
The worried Kenzo
Elina followed the man in a suit who appeared to be a guard of Brennon. Taking her to where he was seated. The smoke of cigarettes, and other harmful drugs. Filled the air as she walked further into the bar. This place was discreet. There was a curtain at each corner. There was no stripper’s insight.
But she was uncomfortable with the smoke, filling her nostrils.
“He’s in here, ma’am.” Elina nodded. And breathed in. This was it.
She steps in while sliding the curtain. He was alone, seated in the long chair. He held a pipe in his mouth and there was a gun on the table. He looked young for an old man like him.
How come he looks so young? Like a man in his early forties.
He should be counting sixties now.
Maybe he wasn’t up, she was just overreacting.
This was her first time seeing him. His face was long and narrow. Perfect nose, thin lips, and dark eyes like Kenzo, he was tall, and there was no potbellied. Like she had imagined he would have been. He was the opposite of what she had been thinking. This was the man they called Chief, he can’t possibly be Chief. Or maybe he can.
Why would he set up a date between them?
This man, right here. The way he was seated, he looks so much like Kenzo, what was this?
He is his father, right?
But why was he talking of finding his identity again, when he’s the son of Brennon. What’s he trying to find out. It would stir up war between the two men, that’s what he wanted.
War?
And it won’t just be a merciful one but a bloody one.
Is that what he wants?
Well. She has to find all that out tonight.
She had to stop thinking about him. Else she might ruin the moment.
“You’re Celia Morgan.”
“Yes..” she gave him a flirtatious smile. He sat upright. Then stood up.
“You’re beautiful.” She smiled more.
“It’s an honor to be flattered by a man like you.”
He took her right hand in his and kissed it.
She smiles softly.
Geez!
So-called married men.
Bastard!
She stares at her hand with disgust, hiding it with a bright smile.
“Sit.” She sat beside him with a crossed leg. Showing off her thighs. Since the gown was slit at the side. Upward down, stopped just a few inches away from revealing her undies.
“I was surprised when someone like you ask to meet me. Can I ask why you wanted to see me?”
“How about I get us a drink, then we can talk. Drinks on me.”
He chuckled.
“I like the sound of that.”
“Sambas..”
“Yes, master,” Sambas replied.
“Has she got in.”
“Yes. She’s in right now.”
“Keep an eye on her. And don’t hesitate to pull the trigger if anything happens.”Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
He was in the bathroom, staring at himself in the mirror. It wanted this to end quickly. And he doesn’t want her to get hurt. In this.
Brennon was smart, and he would have looked into her, search about her to know If she was fake or not, but he had got that all arranged. Her fake parents. Her college degree. And everything. He had been preparing for this a long time ago. And when he had found out about her and see that she’s safe, he might decide to make her one of his bitches and tell her a few secrets and have her glued to his side. Before she came into the mansion. And now she was the one carrying out the mansion.
Hope it went well before he noticed something was wrong.
He rinsed his face and wipe them with a towel. He had to change his suit because of her. Zara, Aziel must’ve taken her home or maybe she’s still around, drinking.
He ruined the date. When he wasn’t supposed to.
It wasn’t his intention, he was focused on her now. Even now he still was wondering what would have been going on between them now.
He would have asked them to fix a camera in there so he gets to watch what’s happening, he said it had missed something, that’s was what he missed.
Elina came back with three bottles of vodka. He dropped it in front of him and uncap. Pouring it in his glass and hers.
“So what did you study?”
“Business.”
“What type of business.”
“With men.”
He chuckled, she smiled and sip from the glass.
“Mind introducing me to your sons, I might get lucky to get married into your family.”
“Interested in my son now.” She watched him to a gulp of the drink and drop the glass. She gladly refills his glass. She runs his callous hands down her bare thighs, going up down on it.
“Or you just wanna f**k them.”
“I might as well do that.”
He chuckles. Placing her to sit on him.
The annoying bastard.
“Just stick to me.”
“Will you make me part of the family? I wanna be called Mrs. Brennon.”
“You have a lot of ambition.”
“Of course.”
She straddled him on the chair.
“I have a son. That I can’t tell the word he’s my son,” he said.
Was the drug working already, it was the drug that was gonna make him talk.
“I book a room, we should discuss there. Let’s get to know ourselves better.”
She nods and stood up. Taking her purse.
Brennon stood up but staggered back on his feet falling back on the chair.
Bastard!
She was yelling so much. Wishing he could hear.
He forced himself up.
“Let’s go together..”
He places her hands on hers. So she could help him walk. They walked out of the spot they were.
“Chief are you okay?”
“I’m fine..” he waved the guard off.
“I’m going to have rest. Go somewhere with the rest and have a drink. I’ll pay.”
“Chief…” he tried to protest.
He quelled him with a look and move away with Elina. The guard gave Elina a suspicious look and walked away.
She led him to the room. They met Kenzo coming out of a room. They both halted. Chief Brennon stares at Kenzo for a moment. Wondering why she stopped walking. Kenzo paused when he saw them too.
His hands were on her waist.
“C’mon on.” He urged her.
They walked past Kenzo on the door whose eyes were fixed on them the whole time.
They went into the room opposite him.
He watched them until they shut the door. He didn’t know when he moved from the spot where he stood towards the room they entered.
The useless man has no shame!
He leaned on the door.
Eavesdropping, if he could hear a sound.
But he only hears a moaning sound.
He clutches his fist into a ball.
He should barge in, but that won’t be good. He would ruin the plan, how dare he touch her in his presence.
He placed his ear on the door trying to listen to the sound. Coming from the room. But he couldn’t get anything except the moaning sound, he peeps through the keyhole. What was she doing to him?
He was fighting with the urge not to open the door. Else he would have kicked it with his feet and dragged her out of the room.
“Master!”
Sambas whispered yelled. He had expected to see him in that position, guess that was the room they’d entered. Why was he peeping through the keyhole?
He smiled but quickly hide it.
He was worried about her. Wasn’t it obvious?
Kenzo moved away from the door pretending he was doing something else.
“You shouldn’t be standing there. Get inside.” He hurried into his room. Sambas followed. Entering the room.
“He knew I’m here. I don’t know if he would suspect Elina now. Because she stopped when she saw me coming.”
“I don’t think he would..”
“You can’t be so sure. The drugs should have been making effect now don’t you think.”
“it’s been long enough. it should be working already.”
“Is..”
He sat on the bed, tapping his feet impatiently on the ground. He clamps his hands together. He was worried.
“Had Zara left?”
“She’s still at the bar. Aziel is keeping his eyes on her.”
He runs his hands over his hair.
“Why is she taking so long.”
“Chief Brennon isn’t an easy bait. I’m sure she would be fine.”
Kenzo looked at him and looked away.
Maybe he was right. Maybe she was fine and he shouldn’t worry about her that much. But he couldn’t help it.
“Argh!” They heard a scream.
Kenzo jumped up from Where he was seated. He heard the voice, that was Elina’s voice. What’s happening.
“Argh!” It came again.
Kenzo ran out of the room. Without giving it a second thought. If something happened to her, he won’t spare that man.
“Master!”
Sambas yelled but he was already out.
