Can't Resist the Billionaire

Chapter 35 Is It Really Going To Showdown?

Chapter 35 Is It Really Going To Showdown?

After Naomi sent the girl away, she turned back and planned to have dinner at my house. Christopher

called me after finishing cooking. I was in a bad mood. I seemed to have used all my strength to cry. So

I waved my hand at Christopher and said that I didn't want to eat anymore.

Christopher sees me not planning to go out, so he turned around and left. Naomi, who was in the living

room, saw Christopher preparing the food which was to be brought into my room, she unwillingly and

deliberately yelled at Christopher. "Brother, aren't you spoiling this woman too much? If she doesn't eat

it, why are you still bringing it in for her?"

Christopher unhappily said to Naomi. "What woman? She's your sister-in-law. In the future, you should

respect her more!"

I heard a cold snort from Naomi's nose, and she purposely expressed her disrespect towards me. After

thinking for a moment, I still struggled to get up from my bed and went to the kitchen to eat.

Christopher was about to bring in some food, but when he saw me suddenly come out, he said to me

with concern. "If you're not feeling well, then don't come out. Go back to lie down!"

Before I could say anything, Naomi said to Christopher in a sharp voice. "Why are you putting on airs?

You're not as good as a young miss, and yet you're putting on airs. Look at how good Sherry is. My

brother, you're really..."

"Shut up!" Christopher glared at the talkative Naomi before she could finish. He motioned for her to

shut up.

Naomi had probably guessed that she had said too much, so she quickly pursed her lips and lowered

her head to look at the dishes on the plate!

In fact, when I first met the girl who had come to my house, I guessed that she was not only with

Naomi, but also very possibly had something to do with Christopher. However, I didn't have the mind to

catch adultery in the act. I would have no more interactions with this man.

So no matter if he found a rich young miss behind my back or was kept as a mistress by a rich lady.

This meant nothing to me.

Thinking of this, I sat down at the dining table calmly. Naomi suddenly saw the shining diamond ring on

my left hand and asked in surprise. "Oh, when did you buy such a big diamond ring? Did my brother

buy it for you?"

I took back my fingers unnaturally and lied. "No, I bought it for fun!"

As I spoke, I looked up at Christopher. However, he only ate with a bland expression. His movements

were as elegant and calm as before. He didn't suspect that I had lost our diamond ring at all.

Perhaps, he wouldn't care about me anymore. So he wouldn't even frown when I lost my marriage

certificate, not to mention my diamond ring.

After all, Naomi came from a rich family, and she had always admired jewelry. So I lied that the

diamond ring was a fake, but she deliberately raised her eyebrows and said to me. "Well, since it's

worthless, why don't you take it off and borrow me for fun for a few days?"

I glanced at her speechlessly. Then, unwilling to give her any face. I said, "You care so much about

your reputation. If I give you a fake diamond ring and don't wear it, you will lose face if your wealthy

friends see it. But if you really think this style is beautiful, it doesn't matter if you wear it and play it for a

few days, I will buy some for you tomorrow. You can wear it every day!"

Naomi seemed to be unwilling to give up. She deliberately said to me. "I really like your ring, because

although your ring is fake, it's really the same when it comes to craftsmanship. I think if I wear it, no one

will suspect it is fake!"

As she said that, she deliberately reached out her hand and gestured me to take it off and put it on her.

I knew her too well. She was very selfish. Once the ring was taken away by her, I could never get it

back. This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.

Although this ring was bought by Vincent for me, I did’t really want it. But this ring was worth 500,000,

even if it was sold, it could be worth more than 400,000. Why should I give this woman a chance?

"Naomi, are you going to eat or not? Go back if you don't."

Just as Naomi arrogantly stood up from the table and was about to take the ring off from my hand and

claim it as her own, Christopher spoke with a look of displeasure on his face.

Although Naomi was usually very arrogant, Christopher still kept his promise at home. Once he got

angry, Naomi was so scared that she sat back and dared not pester me anymore.

Although she sat back, she did not forget to give me a fatal blow. "Brother, don't you see that Jasmine

was not wearing the wedding ring you bought her? Maybe this ring came from some other men!"

"Slap!" Before Naomi could finish, Christopher suddenly slammed his chopsticks on the table with a

sullen face. He glared at Naomi and said. "Get out!"

Naomi was stunned when Christopher's handsome words came out of his mouth. "Get out!" She was

also stunned. After all, Christopher had always doted on his sister and had never gone too far. But now,

he was actually yelling at her. "Get out!"

Naomi was stunned for a moment. Suddenly, she cried as if she had been stimulated. She cried a little

arrogantly. Anyway, it was just thunder and rain, and the sound was so loud that neighbors could hear

it.

"Brother, you actually yelled at me for this woman. What did I do wrong? Didn't I do it for you? You

clearly know that she is outside..."

"Smack!" Naomi was probably mad. She wanted to say something bad about me. But before she could

finish, Christopher had already slapped her on face. Five red finger marks appeared on her fair face

because of Christopher. She was also stunned there, not knowing what to do.

"Get out!" The second time he uttered "get out". I could clearly sense Christopher's unconcealable

anger beside me. Looks like he was serious this time!

Naomi's eyes were filled with tears. After seeing her brother's cold-blooded face, she finally ran out.

Before leaving, she deliberately slammed the door shut.

The atmosphere at the table became somewhat sluggish. Christopher did not look at me, but sighed

softly and continued to sit down to eat.

I was stunned for a moment, and then ate as if nothing had happened. But only God knew how

depressed this meal was.

Along the way, I had been considering how to deal with Christopher. But now, I was truly hesitating.

Although Naomi only said half of what she said just now, I still understood what she meant. Maybe

besides Christopher, Naomi also knew about Vincent and me. Maybe all their family knew about it. But

because I was their money-making tool, they didn't mention it on purpose.

However, what I don't understand was why Christopher seemed to be so agitated when Naomi couldn't

help but reveal the secret that was hidden in everyone's hearts. How would he treat Naomi like this?

What was he afraid of? Or was he hesitating?
