No Piglets
**Sawyer**
Jensen and I drive back to his house in his beat-up single-cab pickup truck. Carmen rushes out the door when she sees us, wrapping herself around me, tears streaming down her face.
"I was so worried, Sawyer!" She blubbers.
"I'm fine, babe," I whisper, stroking her hair.
When she stops crying, her eyes narrow in on Jensen. "What did you do!?"
It's then, when she hisses those words at her older brother, that I see the police car. My stomach drops. No. The police are already here, which means the kid who saw them last night went to the police. Two police officers approach us. "Jensen Meyer," one of them says. Jen turns to them.
Jensen turns back to me and Carmen. "Cary, go inside with my Juliet." He hugs his sister, then embraces me. He places a soft kiss on my forehead. He turns back to the police officer after releasing me.
I grab Jensen's hand and rest my forehead on his back. "Don't go, Romeo. You saved me. Please don't leave me," I beg.
He releases a sigh, his stiff body relaxing. "It will work out fine, Juliet. Trust us. No matter what happens." He squeezes my hand tightly before releasing it, his whole body tensing simultaneously. "I'm Jensen Meyer."
"Mr. Meyer, you're under arrest for the murders of Leroy Johnson, Michael Wilson, and Francis Reynolds. Please come with us, son."
Jensen walks away from me toward the police officer who spoke, who puts him in handcuffs and shoves him into the back of the black and white SUV. Jen doesn't fight them.
I feel Carmen tugging on me. I should have walked away with her, but I can't move. If this is happening to all my boys... I can't move. All I can do is watch the police drive away with my heart. I don't know if I will ever see him or any of them again.
Tears are streaming down my face, but I feel nothing right now. I feel empty. How is everything supposed to be all right?
I'm in Carmen's room on her bed with her on my other side. I don't even remember walking in here.
"Well, at least now I know who raped you, Sawyer. I'm glad those sorry excuses for humans are dead. I wish our boys wouldn't have gotten caught. How did that happen?" Carmen's voice breaks through my fog. "Someone saw them. Now that we know they went to the police, that person will die at my dad's hands soon enough." I sound like some emotionless robot right now. Not all myself.
"Good," Carmen snarls. "That person just cost me my older brother." I love this girl.
"Come on, girl, we've been here for hours, and I'm starving. Let's get something to eat and then go to your house."
Since we grew up in the MC, things like the death of other people don't bother us like they would others.
The kid who videotaped my boys did the right thing by most people's standards. Just not the Brigade, since my boys were sworn when they turned eighteen. The kid messed up since he ratted out MC members.
I look at the digital clock on her nightstand, and it's now three o'clock in the afternoon. I hadn't realized that so much time had already passed.
I turn my head to Carmen. "Let's get some ice cream and raid your father's liquor cabinet while we watch some anime," Carmen suggests, grabbing her favorite body pillow. She makes out with her Zero Kiryu body pillow. Carmen and I have the same taste in white-haired anime boys. I chuckle at my best friend.
I sit up, whopping her in the head with another of her pillows. "Fine, but only because I have the complete series for us to binge-watch, and you don't." I wink at her smiling face, and she peals away from her favorite body pillow. "Bring Kiryu. You can fondle him while I cuddle Kaneki."
She laughs her evil witch cackle. "Bitch, please. Don't pretend you don't fondle Haise like I do Zero." I laugh with her.
********
Carmen and I are cuddled up on the couch watching anime with our Dakimakura body pillows and my quilts. We ate a whole gallon of mint chocolate chip ice cream and drank a bottle of Bailey's right along with it. It was a full bottle my dad gave me for my last birthday.
I only drink here at home or with my boys for safety reasons, not that it did me any good.
I hear keys in the door, knowing it could only be my father. I look up at him but say nothing, not wanting Carmen to see my father covered in blood.
My father gives me a crooked smile. "No more piglets, baby girl." This means the kid who squealed to the cops about what my boys did was dead, along with whatever proof he had.
"Okay, Daddy. Go shower. You smell like a pig. Oink. Oink." I wrinkle my nose at him before snorting like a pig myself. He chuckles at me, shaking his head.
"I needed that, Sawyer. Thank you, kiddo." My father kisses the top of my head before making a hasty retreat to our shared bathroom before Carmen sees him.
"Your father was quick to escape us," Carmen states.
I shrug my shoulders at her. "You know how he gets after doing something for the MC. He is usually covered in blood and thinks you shouldn't see him that way."
Carmen cackles. "He has never seen Jen after a fight. Those boys come home all busted to hell. Lucky for them, Leo became an ER doctor."
Leo, or Leopold, is Carmen and Jensen's older half-brother from their mother's previous marriage. Leo's father was a soldier whose body was returned to her in a casket during a war twenty years ago.
I wrap my arms around myself, picturing how my boys looked last night, covered in blood, not their own, with haunting looks in their eyes. At that moment, they weren't my boys, which terrified me.
When my dad is clean, he orders us pizza while drinking a beer. A brief time after we've finished our food, there is a knock on the door. My father gets up to answer it from his armchair while Carmen and I watch our anime series. Dad calls to me, "Sawyer, come out here quickly." I slip my shoes on, and Carmen follows suit.
There are my boys lined up beside a blacked-out SUV. They all have puffy eyes, but their jaws and fists are clenched. My eyes run over all four of them, ending on Storm.
"What's going on, Storm? Why aren't you guys in jail? Are you going to prison?" I gulp, afraid of what he might tell me.
"We can't do this, Sawyer," he says in a raspy voice. This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.
"Do what?" I ask, terrified of what will come out of his mouth next.
"We are leaving," he says tersely through gritted teeth. "I'm sorry."
"What do you mean you all are leaving? You guys can't leave me. You all four promised you wouldn't leave me."
I look at JT and then Carter, whose eyes are cast down to the ground.
My eyes land on Jensen next. His moss-green eyes meet my golden gaze. "I wish we could tell you." It's all he says before turning around and climbing into the back of the unmarked SUV. JT and Carter follow him.
Storm stares at me. "Hate us. It will help," he deadpans and then turns on his heel to get in the passenger seat.
No! They can't leave me! They promised me they would never leave me. They can't do this to me!
The black vehicle carrying my boys turns, getting on the street while I stand frozen.
Next thing I know, I'm yelling while running down the road after that SUV my boys are in. "You assholes! You promised you wouldn't leave me! I hate you all! You promised me!"
Soon, the black vehicle is out of sight, with no one looking back or the SUV stopping. I crumble to the ground in a heap. A heartbroken, soul-shattering scream erupts out of my throat, unbidden. I've lost the boys I love. I'm never going to see them again.
