Chapter 5 An Apology Could Not Help
Chapter 5 An Apology Could Not Help
Bill took Becca away from Kelly, who was the manager of this hotel and had known Kelvin back in the
army. She knew it from Bill.
‘His scar makes sense then.’ Becca did not feel surprised about this fact. Kelvin’s solemnness and
coldness spoke for himself, ‘But Kelly Clark … is he serving in some public affair office in the army?’
Kelly sneezed. He kneaded his nose and looked in the direction where Becca had left, feeling a bit
weird.
Bill gave Becca a brief introduction to the hotel. Kelvin lived here sometimes since Kelly was the
manager. And the shareholders were all brothers in the army. The penthouse belonged to Kelvin alone.
Down there were rooms for guests. The gym room and the indoor swimming pool were on the fifth and
sixth floor respectively. The bar where they had been last night was on the first floor and the third and
fourth floors were the most famous restaurants for lovers in the city.
Nova’s customers were all prominent people in South City, even entering the bar required real-name
registration. Only the wealthy could afford drinks there. Becca did not know why the hell she chose to
go wild in that place.
The elevator stopped on the sixth floor, and Becca was about to follow Bill into the indoor pool, but her
phone rang inside her pocket. RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
Becca’s face dropped when she saw the caller’s name. It was her fiancé, Albert Davis. She hung up,
but her phone kept ringing. Becca clutched her phone. Finally, she looked at Bill embarrassedly and
walked into the washroom with her phone.
Becca answered the phone without saying anything. She could hear Albert’s voice the moment she
picked up.
“Becca, where are you? I’ve been looking for you the whole night.” Albert sounded anxious. Becca
checked her phone. She did see several missed calls from Albert, her step-sister Laura Garcia and her
father John Garcia.
“Aren’t you happy with your dear Laura? Why do you keep looking for me?” Becca could never forget
what she had witnessed yesterday morning. She and Albert planned to register for marriage yesterday
and had decided to meet at the gate of the marriage office. But on her way there, she wanted to have a
look at their new house which they had bought a long time ago. Just as she opened the door, she could
hear voices from the bedroom. It was a man’s low suppressing gnarl and a woman’s wild groan,
terrifying Becca.
Through the bedroom door opened ajar, she could see Albert and her step-sister Laura intertwined with
each other naked on her new bed.
“Becca, I’m really sorry. I was just out of my mind…” Albert apologized.
Becca knew Albert had always wanted to have sex with her, but she thought it should happen after
their marriage. So she turned him down every time. Is it the reason why he chose Laura, who was
hotter and more proactive?
“You think a mere apology can help? Can it help you travel back in time to control your damn sexual
desire?” Becca yelled. She could hear what he said outside the bedroom door. He told Laura that was
the final indulge before marriage, which meant, it was not their first time. When Becca was still picturing
her sweet life after marriage and making preparations for their future, her boyfriend, who she had been
in love with for five years, was making love with her sister, and even took her to their new bedroom.
How disgusting!
“Becca, it’s all my fault!” Laura cried on the other side of the phone, “Please don’t blame Albert! I
seduced him. You don’t need to worry about this. I’ll fix it!”
“Laura, what are you doing?” It was Albert’s voice. Then Becca heard a splat through her phone. It
seemed that Albert threw the phone on the ground.
"I'm ashamed to see my sister, let me die," Laura cried. Becca didn’t know what happened. It sounded
like a mess.
“John, save our Laura! She’s your daughter too!” Becca’s stepmother Maria Miller was also there.
Becca put down her phone and crouched down feebly.
Yesterday, she showed her father the “evidence”, but before she could say a word, Maria cried, saying
it was Albert who seduced Laura, and Albert should be responsible for Laura.
Her grandparents knew this too. However, to cover this scandal, they decided to change the bride of
the wedding, which meant Becca, the victim, was treated unfairly and even got kicked out of her own
wedding. The house she had carefully prepared, the wedding, and even her husband were all taken
away by Laura.
Becca went out of the washroom desperately. “Mrs. Lewis.” Bill kept waiting for her at the entrance.
Seeing her red eyes, he didn’t ask what had happened.
Hearing Bill’s voice, Becca suddenly remembered her trouble for the time being.
"Let's go." She forced a smile.
