Elena’s family was enjoying dinner together when Elena was about to execute her plan. Jeremy, sensing Elena’s unease, asked after finishing his meal.
“El, what’s wrong? Are you still feeling sick or something?” Jeremy asked, looking at Elena with concern.
Elena, who had been absentmindedly playing with her food without interest, finally lifted her face, staring at Jeremy with meaningful eyes. She hoped that her request would be granted by the possessive man.
“No, Dad, I’m fine,” Elena replied, denying her rebellious feelings.
Certainly, Jeremy could sense that there was something hidden by his daughter-something serious.
“Mom, Dad, I’m heading out now,” Ivand excused himself, already well-dressed and ready to go out with his friends to enjoy their usual Sunday night.
“Be careful on the road. No need for racing. And as usual, be back by 11,” Jeremy warned Ivand, his second son.
Elena looked at Ivand with envy. The three of them were Daddy and Mommy’s biological children. They were born from the same womb and seed. But why did they receive different treatment? Meanwhile, Viero chose to be a loyal listener while enjoying his dinner.
“Got it!” Ivand replied, then kissed Jeremy and Vanessa’s hands alternately.
Elena’s uneasiness grew as she glanced at the clock on the wall, which showed 6:30 PM, meaning that her two friends would come to pick her up soon, and she hadn’t gotten permission to go out yet. But Elena was determined; tonight she had to gain her freedom. If her Daddy refused, she was prepared to sulk.
“Dad, I also want to go out with Citra and Melodi,” Elena expressed with a pounding heart. Her body felt numb as both of her parents exchanged surprised glances.
“Let’s just go with Daddy and Mommy. Besides, it’s been a long time since we went out together on a Saturday night,” Jeremy casually replied, as if there were no burdens at all.
“Please, Daddy, maybe let El go out with her friends!” Elena pleaded, clasping her hands in front of her chest.
“N…”
“Yes, Mommy gives permission. But you can’t just play around, okay?” Vanessa quickly interrupted before Jeremy could finish his sentence.
“Thank you, Mom…”
“Oh, Daddy didn’t give permission!” Jeremy protested. As usual, the decision was in his hands.
“Come on, Dad, just give it once,” Vanessa replied, giving a sharp look into Jeremy’s copper-brown eyes. A look that meant not a request but a threat. In this situation, Jeremy had no choice but to comply, unless he was ready to sleep outside the bedroom.
Vanessa then leaned in, whispering affectionately in Jeremy’s ear, “We’ll have our own Saturday night, dear.” Vanessa winked, while Jeremy could only manage a wry smile.
“B.. but…” Jeremy still tried to resist. He couldn’t let Elena go without supervision.
“Come on, dear, let Elena go!” Vanessa said irritably with a meaningful smile. Not a sweet smile, but a sarcastic one that made Jeremy shudder.
“All right, El, get ready. When Citra and Melodi come, Mommy will handle it first,” Vanessa said, successfully making Elena smile broadly. “Oh, and by 10 PM, El should be home!” Vanessa added, receiving a nod from Elena.
Eagerly, Elena got up and went to her room to get ready before Mommy changed her mind. With enthusiasm, Elena opened her walk-in closet, choosing the outfit she deemed best for her first date. Tonight was the night she could finally fly freely from the golden cage that had confined her for 18 years. Tonight would be Elena’s first experience hanging out with her friends and enjoying a movie at the cinema with her crush.
Yesterday, after Dirga left his class, Elena persuaded Citra and Melodi to help her go out with Dirga. Initially, they refused, fearing Elena’s Daddy would find out. But as friends, they couldn’t bear to see Elena beg. So, they made a clever plan to assist Elena in going out. To ensure safety, Citra and Melodi also made agreements with their respective boyfriends from different schools.
According to the plan, Citra would drive. After Maghrib prayer, Citra picked up Melodi from her house before heading to Elena’s house.
“Cit, why do I feel so scared?” Melodi said as Citra’s car entered the tall white-painted gate.
“Take it slow, Mel. Don’t make me panic!” Citra warned, feeling nervous herself. This was the first time they invited Elena to hang out together. Although they often played at Elena’s house, the idea of conspiring had never crossed their minds.
Before getting out of the car, they took a moment to regulate their breaths. Calming their hearts and minds so as not to ruin the plan they had devised since yesterday.
“You’re ready?” Citra said, checking her appearance in the car’s mirror. More precisely, she practiced smiling casually when meeting Daddy Elena later.
“Seriously, Cit, I’m nervous. Look at my hands; they’re sweating!” Melodi held Citra’s hand to prove her point.
“Mel, we’ve agreed. So please, don’t let us get caught. Act normally, like usual,” Citra requested, trying to remain calm. Despite her efforts, Citra also felt her heart beating like a war drum when imagining Daddy Elena’s stern gaze.
Citra hurriedly got out of the car, followed by Melodi. For a moment, they exchanged glances before heading towards the entrance stairs of Elena’s luxurious house. The three-story house with a car garage and a tranquil pool on the ground floor had a luxurious and elegant design. White dominated almost the entire building, but not inside. Each room was dominated by white but combined with soft colors like silver, cream, or wood brown. Every room was designed differently according to the owner’s preferences.
If Elena’s room has a rose tone. The two younger siblings’ rooms certainly have a masculine feel. Navy blue for Viero’s room and silver for Ivand’s room. The main room, which is Mommy and Daddy’s most private room, has a gold color, according to Mommy’s wishes. Actually, Jeremy likes white, silver and black. But because the queen was at home and in his heart who asked, of course Jeremy would grant it.
“Good afternoon,” said Citra and Melodi in unison when a middle-aged woman wearing a batik-patterned negligee opened the door for them.
“In the afternoon,” answered the woman and invited the two of them to come in.
Not long after, Vanessa and Jeremy came to meet their two daughters’ friends. Citra and Melodi immediately got up from their seats to greet and greet Elena’s parents.
Before the two of them had landed comfortably on the sofa, Jeremy was already asked a terrible question that they had been preparing the answer to since this afternoon.
“Where do you actually want to go and what are you looking for?” If you just eat and hang out at the cafe, you can go straight to DAS Cafe. Or if you want, Daddy can take you wherever you want to go?” said Jeremy, still unwilling to let Elena go with her friends.
Actually, this is not the first time that Elena has gone with the two girls in front of her. Usually, if he wasn’t the one to take them, Jeremy would send his nephew Azka or Nathan. Not infrequently also the family driver.
“No, thank you Uncle!” the two teenagers interrupted in unison.
The copper-brown eyes immediately looked questioningly at the two teenagers in front of him who seemed to be starting to get nervous. Vanessa, who saw how Jeremy scared Citra and Melodi, then nudged Jeremy’s arm.
“Hey, you guys have come,” said Elena, who succeeded in saving the fate of her two friends from Jeremy’s interrogation.
Elena, who had seen Jeremy interrogating her two friends from a distance, immediately approached. Cut off the conversation before Citra or Melodi get caught up in questions from their Daddy. Never mind other people, Elena, who is her biological daughter, can never move if her father interrogates her. That’s why it’s better for Elena to obey all of her father’s orders and prohibitions than to have a fatal outcome.
In the past, Elena just wanted to open adult sites for fun because of her curiosity. But everything ended in chaos. Before Elena succeeded, Jeremy already knew about it. It turned out that Elena’s account had been hacked by her father since she was first given the freedom to use a cell phone. In fact, he would never be able to reach all the adult sites because Jeremy had restricted his account. So whatever Elena does using her account will be directly connected to Jeremy.
“Mom Dad, shall we go first?” Elena immediately grabbed Jeremy’s hand first and then took Vanessa for a kiss. Citra and Melodi did the same thing so they could leave immediately.
Jeremy and Vanessa escorted the three teenagers to the front door. Before Elena got into the car, Jeremy called her.
“Don’t leave your cell phone behind!” warned Jeremy seriously. Elena then showed her cell phone while waving.
Gegas Citra stepped on the gas of her car after they entered and immediately left the magnificent house.
“I swear, El… I felt like I was out of style when Daddy was interrogating us. Luckily you came quickly or we wouldn’t have killed all of us,” admitted Citra, feeling relieved because their plan had succeeded.
“Oh, El, your cellphone’s GPS is still active, isn’t it? I’m afraid that Daddy will follow us at the cinema. This embarrassing experience might become history for our future children,” said Melodi humorously. But it’s true. This incident is not impossible if Elena’s father really knows about it. Actually, it’s not a problem watching the film. But the boys who accompany them later will be the main reason Daddy is angry.
“Just calm down. I brought an old and empty cellphone!” Elena shows Citra and Melodi her dead cellphone.
“I swear. We are like thieves who want to commit suicide. According to Daddy, we are people who cannot be fooled,” continued Citra again.
“There’s no need to think about it. Anyway, we’re happy tonight!” Elena screamed feeling incredibly happy.Material © NôvelDrama.Org.
